Item Not Found When Trying to Install Android App
I've set up Android for work successfully and have approved an Android App, which I've then tried to distribute using Mobile Device Manager Plus. It appears as an app to be installed in the MDM app but when I click on install, I just get an "item not found" error in the Google Play Store. Any ideas? Thanks

ME MDM NFC Enrollment App
I am trying to set up my NFC Enrollment App. I have it installed on an Android device. I enter the MDM Server Name and Port and I constantly get "server not reachable" I can access the server via the same name in a web browser, but not from the APP. I'm confused as to why and could use some assistance setting this up. We are just testing DesktopCentral and MDM, and I want to love it.... but so far I'm having a hard time. Thanks anyone/everyone.
MDM adds remote control support for new OEMs
Remote troubleshooting is one of the most effective ways to diagnose and fix issues in real-time. You can also chat with the device users to understand the problem better and execute remote commands to lock, reboot etc., in case of unattended devices. In addition to the existing OEMs, ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus has signed partnerships with the following OEMs, which lets you remotely control these devices: WishTel CipherLab Skyworth Datamini - Models T84G & TWG10 MDM has also extended
Restoring device backup on ABM (or DEP) provisioned devices
The release of iOS 13.2 introduced a bug affecting the restoration of backup on devices enrolled with Apple Business Manager (or Apple DEP). While restoring the backup, the following error Profile Installation failed - Profile must be installed interactively. As this is an issue from Apple and is affecting all MDM services, the same has been reported to Apple. To restore the device backup using the workaround, refer to the steps below: STEP #1: Putting the device into recovery mode In case of

Application updates within MDM
Hello, We currently have a mobile device with MDM installed and using PowerApps on Kiosk mode. Occasionally when PowerApps has an update released, it seems like the device is trying to update the app and in doing so, causes the app to hang and the only way around this is to disassociate the profile, update the app and re-associate it. Is there any better way of doing this - potentially not automatically trying to push the update out to the device causing it to hang, but potentially controlling these
Geo-fencing: Do not restrict distance
Right now in Desktop Central MDM one may add a GeoFence of up to 1KM. It would be great if this restriction could be removed. We have users who carry mobile devices across the state and would like to be able to expand the region to cover the state. Would also like to be able to warn after more than just one day, as users are sometimes out of state but for short periods of time. Say warn the user after 3 days, enable lost mode after 5 days, enable full wipe after 7 days. Just seems the whole GeoFencing
Display timeout settings not working
Hi, I'm in the process of deploying Samsung Galaxy Tab A devices but noticed that the display timeout settings are ignored unless I allow the Modify default device settings option. The tablets are all running Android v9. I found what appears to be a similar post https://pitstop.manageengine.com/portal/community/topic/display-timeout-in-kiosk-mode Is this a known problem? Bob

EMM Token Enrollment - Samsung Devices
When enrolling Samsung devices via EMM, there's a whole set of default Samsung apps that do not get installed that would otherwise be on the phone if enrolled via user invite or if the device was setup out of the box. For the most part it's not a problem to install apps again from the Play Store but the Samsung Galaxy Store app is not in the Play Store and can't be re-installed from what I can tell. Some Samsung apps need the Galaxy Store in order to update. Is it possible to prevent EMM token
Unique MDM device device email addresses?
Hi, Do the MDM device email addresses have to be unique? Can I set-up multiple devices with the same email address? Does the email address have to exist? I know it's used when the passcode is changed but is there anything else which may be affected? Bob
Chrome on IPad does not allow to set start tabs
Hi All, I've run into an issue with Chrome on my iPads. We need to be able to set the tabs that open when Chrome is opened. I need to set it to open two specific pages on all the iPads that are managed. We've tried setting it manually on each of the iPads (which would also be acceptable), but the option to do so seems to be missing. My question is twofold: 1) Does pushing Chrome through the MDM remove / restrict access to these settings? 2) Is it possible to give these permissions back OR push
Remote Control Android Samsung no longer working
Hello, I have been setting up our samsung galaxy tab S3 devices to be able to remote control them but the remote control function seems to have broken over the weekend. They were working great last week on all 8 devices I setup but every single one of them lost this functionality. I even did a fresh wipe/reinstall on one of them but I cannot get remote control to work at all, it is just view only. When I log into them it alternates between "You can only view the remote screen" and "Your customer

MDM is unable to reach APNs
We've been seeing this error on the Enrollment tab for most of the day: MDM is unable to reach APNs "api.push.apple.com" must be opened on the outgoing port 443 of your proxy server/firewall to manage iOS devices Check Connection Now I am not aware of what the implications may be at this point. We have an on-prem server. Our network logs reveal no releated communication problems. Anyone else encountering this error and/or have any suggestions?
Non-existent app updates
The Android ME MDM app constantly lists updates for a some of our apps. If a user tries to update the app they are told that no updates are available. All of the apps have the most recent version approved in the Play Store. The affected apps are: Skype for Business Google PDF Viewer Google Docs Gmail Google Sheets Google Chrome This does not affect functionality but it does generate questions from users about their phone not updating properly.

Manage Engine MDM - Assign enrolled devices to a group using an API
Hello, Can someone advise on API end point that can help in programatically assigning enrolled devices to a group? Thanks in advance. Cheers Hitesh.
Static IP for wifi profiles
Hi there, I'm trying to push out a wifi profile to some Android tablets, which is just a simple WPA2-PSK network. The Android device gets the profile and authenticating to the wifi network works fine but for some reason it's getting set with a static IP in the 192.168.1.0/24 range (192.168.1.100) when I want DHCP so the device gets an IP automatically. I can't see settings in the profile that let me define IP settings for a given wifi network. Has anyone else had this issue and know a work around?
Best Path Forward for Expired DEP Token and Migrating Apple ID
Hello! I have recently come onboard at a company that uses an on-premise ManageEngine MDM Plus server to manage a dozen iPads. Unfortunately, the poor thing has been neglected before my arrival and I would like some help to make sure I'm moving forward correctly and not cause a disruption in service to the tablets or cause them to become unusable. (This is also my first experience using a MDM as well as Apple products, so any newbie precautions would be greatly appreciated.) It is currently running
sync ios with nextcloud calendar/contacts
I have created a profile which syncs an iPhone with a nextcloud calendar and contacts. Because of to the %username% variable it works for all users. Unfortunately I cannot enter the password for the nextcloud in the profile - it is of course different for each user. So the user has to enter the password before she can use the calendar. But whenever I update the profile and push a new version to the devices, the password dialogs pop up again. That is very annoying. How can I improve this situation?
Names missing from user listing
If I look at the user list in the Device management tab the names are missing from all of the users who have devices enrolled in MDM. I can see the details for all of the other AD users but for any MDM users the Display Name, First Name, and Last Name are all missing, replaced by "---" Any idea what is going on here? thanks

Separate business contacts on iOS? (ideally similar to Android for Work)
Hello everyone, this might be a stupid question but I hope for your patience :) My main goal is to maintain separate private and business contact lists on smartphones. For Android that's rather simple: as soon as Android for work is enabled and a work profile is created, I can install two copies of the Android contacts app, one for private, one for business. I can even install MS Outlook for Android and Office 365 contacts can be synced with the business contact app. If someone calls, the caller

Profile Updates
I am perplexed that after saving an update to a profile, and after then publishing an update to a profile, it appears that you still have to go to each group that the profile may be assigned to and then upgrade the profile as well. I really hope I am missing something that is not readily apparent to me. Why does the profile not automatically upgrade on all applicable devices upon publishing?
Apple mandates migration from Device Enrollment Program to Apple Business Manager/Apple School Manager before December 1, 2019
As Apple has advanced to Apple Business Manager (ABM)/Apple School Manager (ASM), which are dedicated portals for Enterprise and Education respectively, the support for Apple Deployment Programs will be withdrawn from the aforesaid date. Apple has consolidated its standalone portals, Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and Volume Purchase Program (VPP) into a single cloud portal Apple Business Manager (or Apple School Manager). The consolidation has simplified device enrollment and app purchases for

MDM - Android COPE - migration paths
Hi Keerthikumar, Appreciate the quick response to my previous post in the community "Link". Based on your response, I have a follow-up question in regards to migration paths towards COPE. Cope includes device and work profile ownership. Device ownership can only be defined at the beginning or after factory reset. If we start with device ownership (with Zero-Touch) for now, would it be possible to activate work profile /COPE later on in the process without having to factory reset devices again which
Admin password forgotten
Hi. I have installed MDM and forgot password. I tried this steps to reset it (using the resetPWD.xml file) but after all steps done I can not login as admin: https://www.manageengine.com/mobile-device-management/how-to/reset-password.html#commands Does anyone know how to reset the password? Inconsistent info in interface?
We've just started using MDM. The person that did the initial set up added some devices, individually assigned the one profile we've got to each of them, and assigned a set of 6 apps to each of them. In the list of devices they each show as having 1 profile, and 6 apps. I have created a group that has the same profile and the same apps plus 2 more. I have added a new device that I have just added to the group (have not directly assigned profile or apps to it). In the list of devices it shows as having
REST API
Hi there, I'm evaluating the "Mobile Device Manage Plus" solution. And I have a question about integration. Is there any (REST) API that duplicates operations which are available on the administration web console (https://mdm.manageengine.com/homePage.do?actionToCall=homePageDetails). Thanks
Android COPE supported in Android 8 - roadmap
Hi ME community team, we are currently reviewing different MDM systems and as part of the comparison, we are checking the availability of the Android profile-setup called Corporate owned and personally enabled - short COPE - the combination of device ownership and profile owner. We see this as critical in case you want to provide a user-firendly experience but also comply with regulations like e.g. GDPR. We were told that COPE would be supported by MDM-Plus by May. The may passed by and I wanted
