Admin Account
Is there a way for me to do one of the following? 1. Rename the admin account to something besides the default? 2. Disable the admin account and add a Active Directory user as the primary admin (we only have purchased 1 user license) 3. Remove the credentials from auto-populating into the web interface when it is loaded. We have some security concerns since our web console will need to be Internet facing, and would prefer that we are not publishing the default admin user account to the world.

Sorting Bulk Configuration View By Health Only Sors within the page that is currently selected
It looks like Application Manager is only sorting within the current page of paged lists. This is not very helpful when wanting to sort all monitors in the bulk configuration view by their health. Sorting of paged lists of web pages typically sort all content page the results appropriately.
ERROR when deploying configurations during startup!
I found following interesting line in the computer.log file on such a client machine: ***** [ERROR] ProcessPatch : Scheduled time not reached. The configuration will be applied on next upcoming cycles !!! ***** "Scheduled time not reached"??? What does this mean? I did NOT change the "Install Between" setting of these configurations. Does anyone else have such problems? regards, peter
Missing vs. Failed
I'm doing an automate patch push and I'm getting A LOT of machines that say for example "4 patches missing" yet after deployment it says "4 patches failed" I'm not sure what is going on. When i go to the windows directly on said machine, the KB*.log file isn't even present. I'm supposed to patch over 1000 machines tonight and I don't feel confident in DesktopCentral at this point..

License Key is not copied to all Software License Asset
Hi, when I mark a software Received in the Purchase tab, if my software has a license key, the license key number is only on the first Software License, the License Key box is empty to all other software license. Thanks Frikdel
Update request using email command?
Hi, I did try to update ticket by using email command but it didn't work. I used @@ in the email subject then type @@Category=General@@, @@RequestID=xxx@@ something like this. Everytime i did it always create new request with new request id. It' working well with create new ticket with using email command but not for update. User Modification Template issues
I'm trying to use the User Modification Templates but there are some major issues that prevent me from utilizing them. First, the Profile Path and Home Folder Path options do not pull the %username% variable correctly, they seem to be pulling from the Display Name rather than the User Logon name. I've tried using the %sAMAccountname% variable as well and it only fixed one of them The User Creation Templates work fine with those fields. Also, my main issue is group membership. DownTime Report - Built In
It looks like this report hasn't gotten any love for a while. As far as I can tell, this is the only report that is going to show me how MANY times a device goes down and individual durations of those instances. It gives a start of outage and end of outage time, great, and then it gives the total duration of that individual outage, great. However, there are several issues with this report: The Total Downtime calculation for a device which seems like it should just add up the column total

Hi, Earlier my email id was configured in the "TO Email ID" field in mail server settings. I was getting email alerts for all the devices. Now I removed it and configured another ID but still I am getting alerts for all devices. pls let me know how to stop this. Sam Pragash.
SMS messages looping
Hi, SMS test actions works fine, however, the sms goes in a loop and keeps on sending the same sms test message over and over. It stops when the Nokia phone is disconnected. I use Opmanager 9 SP1 on XP working in a VMWare virtual environment. Thanks for any response Marc

OpUtils Stacked Port Report
The Stacked Port Detail report only displays one MAC address per stacked port. How can I get the report to list all of the MAC Addresses for each port?
Unable to create a folder monitor in OpManager "folder not found"
I am unable to create a folder monitor in the latest version of OpManager 9101. When creating any monitor and clicking on "test" I get the error "folder not found" See the screenshot of the simple example below which is checking for the c:\windows folder. Removing Attachments from Contract record
I'm updating a contract with a new pdf of the actual contract. There is a pdf of the old contract in the Attachments list. When I click that filename to download it, I get an error "The file was not found." I want to delete that file name from the Attachment list. I Edit the contract, click the red X next to the file name and it disappears. However, when I Save the contract, the filename reappears again. It's as if the filename can't be deleted because the file it points do doesn't exist in
Application has not been installed properly (Gina, GPO Installation)

Where does Netflow Analyzer get it's ASN -> description data from?
When viewing the list of AS Names, the listed name is not always correct. as an Example, on my copy running 9.7 AS 22394 is resolved as 'AS Speedlink' 'Orgname SpeedLink Internet Solutions' however, when I query ARIN directly, this ASN actually maps to 'CELLCO' which is basically Verizon wireless. i.e. http://whois.arin.net/rest/asn/AS22394/pft
Approval Status column empty on Changes
I'm using 8121. I wanted to see the approval status of some changes, so I added the column to the main Changes page. The only thing that shows up is a dash ( - ). On the Requests page, it shows an indicator making the approval status clear. Is this a bug or am I just not using this correctly? Thanks!

Build 80123 triggers Patch deployment, without one being scheduled
I just updated Desktop Central to Build 80123 within our organization. Upon doing so, multiple computers began being patched by Desktop Central, despite no configuration or automated process being scheduled. How / why did this happen? This has never been the case with past updates, and I am worried it's going to force our entire organization to reboot in the middle of the work day.

Issue with the "all tasks" view
Right now, our technicians with dispatcher profile can only see tasks assigned to them. However, we want them to be able to see all tasks created by assigned to technicians in their site as well. This was working as I described pre-8121. On the other hand, I am not 100% that it is related to the update. Up until now; I checked that - Technicians can see all requests in their site - Technicians can only see tasks assigned to them - Technicians' access permissions are as in the screenshot - Technicians

Iam moving DC from a W7 32bit too a WS2008 Standard and i have big problem to get the proxy to work. I put everything in the same way as i had before host: ... port 8080 username.... password... OpManager shows some interfaces on Cisco ASA 5520 as "DOWN" when they are "UP"
Hello, I am monitoring a Cisco ASA 5520 using OpManager. For some reason two subinterfaces on the ASA shows as "Down". One shows as "shutdown" (administratively down) and the other one as "down". However, when I check the ASA, both interfaces show as "interface is up, line protocol is up". Could you please help me figure out why it shows down in OpManager? (Other interfaces on the same ASA shows right status). Thank you.
No traps are defined in F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB.txt
In attempting to load traps from the 2 mib files related to the BIGIP gear we have, I'm finding that OPManage cannot parse the file and find the actual trap definitions. I have included the 2 MIB's that we cannot get to parse, please review, feedback is appreciated. We get the same error upon trying to load traps from either of the following 2 MIB files. Bug on "Add Monitors" Page in OP Manager
Hi, On the "add monitors" page, if i select the category name like "Memory Monitors", it did not select all the child items. instead it left one of the item from the selected category and select one child item from the previous category. please refer to the attached picture where 'pages per second' is left out and 'used logspace' is selected. same behaviour is when i deselect the 'Memory Monitors''

AD login unstable
Hi, I just upgrade to OpManager build 9400 and add our AD server in it for login. However, I discover we always failed to login with AD account specially when I press "Enter" after enter user id , password and select to login with our AD. Most likely 10 times will failed with 7 times etc. If I select login to AD with mouse select and click login with mouse instead with "enter", fewer problem occurs like 10 times will failed with 1-2 times.
