I keep running into this issue, while installing I select ms SQL, I then have the fields server, port, user name and password. I enter the name of our SQL server in the server field as \\server\sql instance, I then enter port 1433 in port and the username and password for the sql admin. The installation seems to go through fine, then I try and start the application and it gets hung on application running or starting or something like that . When I check the SQL databases I do not see the database
Innstalation problem
Hi During the update, I had a problem . I could not run the application, so started to restore the previous version. I downloaded the installer from the http://archives.manageengine.com/service-desk/ Unfortunately, I get the error ! ! Such as set out in the annex. Hi, I am facing a problem in Desktop central that while taking remote an error message is coming that " Waiting for the presenter to join". This error is not coming always. OnDemand Provisioning Tool - Incorrect Username or Password
I'm trying to setup the provisioning tool to import my AD users into our ServiceDesk account. Whenever I enter the LDAP information for our site I keep getting an error telling me either the username or password is incorrect. I have verified that I am entering the correct password and have also confirmed the LDAP settings are correct via a third-party LDAP client. "Waiting for Presenter to Join" when connecting to Mac
When attempting to remotely connect to a MAC I am seeing the following. On my Computer A message box immediately pops up on the mac More Info takes me to the java download page, OK simply closes the message window. A current version of Java is already installed and up to date on the mac as can be seen with the response from the Oracle java test page. Possible bug in Windows domain password
We've been having a lot of issues with our Windows domain scan account being locked. We contacted support and they were able to help, but I think there may be a bug in how the Windows domain account password is saved/stored/retrieved in SDP. We're using SDP 9036. This is how I solved the problem. I went into Admin > Windows Domain Scan, edited our domain, reset the password, then clicked Save. Connection can not be established
I have AD360 with ADAudit and ADManager. The two components cannot be viewed from the dashboard view in AS360. From within AD360 I have to log into each component in order to use it.

Error restoring database

Schedule Request Status Change doesn't work
I have submitted a support ticket over a week ago and no one has contacted us but the Schedule Request Status Change isn't working. We originally upgraded from 8210 to 9006 over a week ago. We have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. I am curious if it there is a setting in our database\config that isn't working correctly. If I do an install using the internal database it works but when I point it to our sql database it doesn't.

Issue with Software Inventory
Hello, We have been uninstalled some softwares in some PCs through desktop central, but desktop central shows the softwares are still installed, I already run the scan many times, but the softwares still exist. This give us issue to get accurate information about softwares installed in our PCs. For example, desktop central shows that there are 2 versions of Adobe Flash Player installed in some PCs, but we checked directly that PCs, only 1 version is installed. Can somebody help me to solve this issue?
SMS server settings
We are using our Nokia 6320i for many years with OpManager. After the latest update (from 11300 to 11500) the server does not recognoize our phone. I noticed a new field: Baudrate. It's 0 at the moment but I've tried 9600. COM port is set to COM3 which was it before.
Error Message: Access denied from this IP address
One of my Technicians cannot seem to logon onto his SDP On-Demand Account from anywhere except his PC in the office. When he tries to logon on using his iPhone or from a remote location, he continues to receive the following error message: Access denied from this IP address I have checked his permissions and at the moment, he is setup as an SDAdmin. These are the same rights that I have on my account, and I have no issues logging on using my account from anywhere, mobile app or remote location.

Automate Patch Deployment doesn't wake up PCs

Client plugin for launching 3rd party application
Hello, We selected PMP for the possibility to be able to launch other programs and for the password security/reports. We use for example VNC, RDPPlus, and Putty to connect to our machines. But this does not seem to be possible any-more with Firefox and also Internet Explorer is beginning to show weird behaviour. run as windows service not reliable
Hi there, We've installed ADSSP as windows service with the method shown under Admin > Product Settings> Windows Service We can start and stop the service fine but sometimes it just not very reliable. if we start the service from application, the status under Windows Services not showing as Started one time the notification refused to be run manually so we restarted the service via Windows Services; things still doesn't work until we stop-start from the application Is there a known issue with ADSSP

Task templates should automatically update tasks in Service Catalog/Incident templates
We're using SDP 9036. We use task templates religiously. We noticed that when we update a task template, the task is not updated in the Service Catalog/Incident template where the task is used. We have been updating our task templates, but they have not been updating where they are used. This needs to be fixed. What's the point in having a task template if the task is not updated in the templates where it is used? This really needs to be fixed.
Backup fails because file exceeds maximum ZIP file size
When trying to run a full (not trimmed) backup in preparation for migrating SC+ to a new machine, the backup produces an invalid .data file because it has reached the maximum file size for ZIP file (4,294,967,295 bytes). SC+ build 7936 32-bit running on Windows 2003. How can I overcome this or work around it?

9028 Update Bugs
I updated to 9028 this morning and have noticed two bugs so far. 1.) The option to consider any completed task as 'Task Completed' under the task closing rules was set to "Any" before the patch, but after the patch it had reverted the setting to 'Only Closed' Simply enough to change that back... 2.) When composing a reply in a request the cursor position is now defaulting to the "To" line instead of the body of the message so we have to move the cursor down to the body each time we compose a reply

Custom logo issue
Hi, I have recently migrated the dbs to a new server and also re-installed the SD+ to a new application server. I am unable to import the custom header logo after the migration, it never shows up in the header section despite being imported under the Org Details section (and visible there). I have tried to convert the source JPG image to GIF, PNG, back to JPG to no vail. The image size is 166 x 46 px. I have tried IE11, Chrome, Firefox browsers. I have even saved the logo file from the old app server
Windows 7 Stopping Services
Hi, Since deploying the desktop central agent across our desktops we have noticed that our Windows 7 machines now take forever to shutdown because they say "Stopping Services". This doesn't happen on Windows 8 machines or Windows 7 machines that don't have the agent. When the agent is removed, shutdown time is normal. Please advise and assist. Regards

Desktop Central not detecting MSRT on XP
Hello, Having just completed a Patch Scan with the most recent Patch database on one of my XP systems, I discovered something interesting... The XP system is telling me that an update to the MSRT tool (KB 890830) is available. Unfortunately, Desktop Central is telling me that no patches are available for this system. Shouldn't Desktop Central still detect this available update? Anthony
