Hello, ServiceDesk don't start correctly after restoring a backup to a new server. If i try to start the app with the shortcut at the desktop so I can see the splash screen, the starting progress stops working at "Application Layer Started". I get the following error in the serverout0 log. "[10:23:31:195]|[09-07-2015]|[SDPStartupUtil]|[INFO]|[14]|: Exception while checking server status.Connection refused: connect|" Build no. is 9107 on both servers. Thank you. Regards, Daniel

Hi y'all, I'm trying to apply service pack 9107 to a 9106 install of Desktop Central. I have always made a backup using backUpData.bat but this time that file is nowhere to be found on any drive throughout our entire 60 TB of files. I know this because being a fool, I searched anyways ... just in case I fell asleep at the mouse and inadvertently moved it or something. I even attempted to look inside all of the ManageEngine related archives .cab .exe and .ppm files kicking around but no dice. Easy

eventlog.out File growing until ELA crash
We have an eventlog.out file in ManageEngine\EventLog\Logs\ that is growing to 20 GB in a single day until HDD capacity is reached and the collector shuts down. What can we do to fix this? I read a previous article that says changing the log type from a 3 to a 2 in the BAT file can help (circa 2009) and ours is already in this mode. Is there a fix for this?
User getting two emails when ticket is resolved
Hi When a tech resolves a request and changes the status to resolved for some reason the user is getting 2 emails. 1) the request has been resolved 2) the request has been updated The second email shouldnt be triggered and its really confusing our users. Please advise ASAP. Thank you
The "Forward Solution" Feature in SDP

DesktopCentral doesn't start
Hello, I just installed the DesktopCentral free version on a clean Win10 machine. The service fails to start, the attached log seems to indicate a problem with the database. Could anybody advise on what the problem could be?

Java Process is using about 4GB of RAM, 65% of CPU and crashing within minutes.
I have ADmanager Plus installed and the Java process keeps on crashi ng the server. ADManager support has been "looking" into the issue for about 2 weeks with no solution. We'd really like to use this software to run reports for our 1.1 million user AD, but doesn't seem like this software is working.

In the widget "Interfaces by Bandwidth Utilization," the Receive and Transmit columns appear to sort incorrectly, as if it was by text rather than number. For example, if one sorts in descending order, 9.9 comes up higher than 80.54 when it should be the other way around.

Backups problem after MS SQL migration

Error when trying to login as technician other than "admin"
I've added a couple Active Directory accounts as technicians ("super admins"). Hi, I have upgrade my OP-Manager installation to 11.6 during last weekend and since then all monitored URLs of SharePoint or websites using NTLM authentication are failing. Hi there, It appears that the search tool on the left of the request module as welll as the one on the top does not allow or perform any search inside of Request Respons. Unable to update Desktop Manager
Hi, I received the notification that build 91058 was available and duly downloaded the hotfix file. I'm on build 91043 but when I apply the .PPM file I receive the message: Do I need to uninstall the previous hotfixes first? I didn't need to do this before, or is there a different problem? Local authentication not working after enabling AD authentication
Hi, We have been successfully using SD Plus for several months with local authentication, and now we have everything ready to switch to AD authentication. The requesters are populated from AD, however we want technicians to use local authentication. The problem is - when we enable AD authentication the requesters can successfully login, but when technicians try to login with their local accounts - they cannot do it. AIX password reset problem
Hello, Password reset for AIX servers, like for Linux and other UNIX flavours, is performed effectively from root account (either via 'su root' or 'sudo'). The difference in AIX is that setting password this way sets ADMCHG flag as well. This flag forces user to change password again during first login, which makes it not in sync with PMP. Hi everyone, I've used OpManager for close to 10 years and I love it. I'm now on version 11.6. I don't like the new interface, so I'm using the "old" theme. However, we have a lot of virtual machines using HyperV, and I notice it uses the new interface for that. I guess I'll just have to get used to it. Background Images for OpManager Are Too Large, Causing Poor RDP Performance
Hi, The background images for OpManager are too large, causing very poor performance over RDP. When accessing OpManager over a remote RDP session, it often hangs the browser for 30 seconds, while the background image is redrawing as it fades in. login_bg.jpg - 232kb noise-bg2.png - 1MB This makes it very difficult to use OpManager over a remote RDP connection. Needless to say, this is frustrating during an outage scenario.

slow performance with ADSelfService Plus
I am trying out ADSS Plus in my environment. We are putting it in our vCloud Air cloud, which is just a virtualized vSPhere based public cloud. We have the VM running the code setup as a 2vCPU 4GB of memory. When I look at task manager, I don't see anything out of control for the VM OS level. The problem is that when I login using an Domain account it takes 15-20 seconds to login. WHen I login as the admin account, it will only take 1-2 seconds. Vulnerability Database Update fails
Hello, I turned off my server during my vacation, I switched my license from trial to free, as the 30 days were over. Physical and Virtual servers showing different interface
Since updating to OpManager ver 11600 the interface for Virtual servers has changed. It looks like it is using the new API even though I have set it to use the old version. Physical server are showing correct, using the old API version. Also, under the Visualization menu tab, all the options are missing apart from All Devices. I have done a fresh install on a test server and the results are the same on there. Have the visualization options etc been removed or am I missing something. Thanks, Paul.
