Problems creating a new technical assistance case using the DC form...
Hi, I used to be able to easily create new technical assistance cases using the form that is linked from within the DC Support page. However, I am not able to create cases at the moment. Whenever I complete the form and hit the Submit button, the form simply reloads empty. There is no confirmation that the case submission was successful and I receive no case confirmation email. Desktop Central not loading pages
Hi A bit of an odd issue has crept into my desktop central system as of this morning. When I attempt to load DC the page does not load, tried both I.E. or Chrome. However if I am on the server which is running DC or I load DC through the service desk plus integration option while logon into SDP on a PC where it failed to load previously then it loads. When it fails the desktop central icon appears in the top left corner next to the URL and the URL reverts to "http://eukme:8020/configurations.do"

Missing "Organizational Unit" as a target in my free edition of DC 9 (Build No:90066)
Hi, I used to select "Organizational Unit" as a target when creating configurations but I can not see that option anymore under "Choose a Target" section. I was using an evaluation version so far, which got downgraded to a free version recently. So I am not sure if that is the case. Thanks, Ranjith

In the release notes you describe the following features being available: Ability to lock the windows device remotely has been introduced. Ability to locate the windows device by using "Remote Alarm" feature has been introduced. Where are these new features located/how are they used?
Patch prompt
Is it possible for the prompts to install patches could have a list of the patches? Perhaps a link that pops them up in a scolleable window. My users sometime want to know what is about to be updated.
Hotfix 90067 - Lists of Win patches not visible
Wonder if anyone else is seeing this new problem with Hotfix 90067: When I select Patch Mgmt tab, then either All Patches or Supported Patches, I can only see Mac patches. Windows patches aren't showing up in the lists anymore. They showed up fine up until last night, when I applied Hotfix 90067. I only have Windows 7/8.1 workstations, so Mac patches aren't very useful. I can't even think of a way to deploy missing Windows patches at this point, other than using Software Deployment. Multiple Network Shares
I have a network consistent of multiple sites - of the sites I admin there are 4 of them which contain Synology NAS Servers using Synology's CloudStation and Cloud Sync which keeps the servers in sync with the same data across all 4 locations. Is there a way for me to specify Software Network Shares for each location? I would like an explanation about how licenses are counted in Desktop Central. When are licenses consumed and when do they get released? I cannot seem to find any information regarding this in the documentation. Remote control and chat not working (ver. 90066)
New install and when I initiate chat server shows user is off line. The end user sees the chat box but it is not responding. Remote control using Active X IE 11, the end user gets a box title Edit Connection Setting and fields referring to proxy settings. The box stays visible for about 4 seconds and disappears. On the server side I see waiting for presenter. Actually it appears that all the "Tools" seem to initiate but none of them seem to finish as if the client/agent end is refusing or cannot
Need help with configuration
Hi all, I have installed the free version on our AD server. I then used the console to install the agent on two computers. I created a MSI package, tested it on an old machine and it works, and created a configuration task to send out to the two machines. The problem is that neither machine gets the program installed. view desktop - Not Working
Hi, I am a new user to ManageEngine and have created my server and connected one device. I can see the device and audit SW and HW and display announcements. However, when I go to remove control, I can connect to the device but when I select View Desktop it flashes Loading and then goes back to view Desktop again without displaying any messages or screens. any ideas Vince

scheduling custom script
Hi, I want to run a custom script everyday that checks and reports the percentage of space left. I want to run this everyday but unfortunately I don't see an option to do that. Its says I can run it at logon but I don't login to every server everyday. Is there anyway to get Desktop Central to run the script at a specific time everyday or even several times throughout the day?
Desktop Central to 90003 from 80294 upgrade failing
Hi, I am trying to upgrade my version of Desktop Central to 90003 from 80294. However each time, this is what it does: Creates a backup Goes through the installation process Goes on to say uninstalling before the final message states uninstallation successful. Mac Agent installation
Hi, I am having issues with the DC mac agent. I have configured and downloaded the mac agent from the SoM. I can install it onto a MacBook air and it says it is successful, however it never shows up within the inventory. Has anyone got any ideas of why this would happen? Logs can be provided if needed. I've detected when I deploy a package with install option "system User", not working properly, because the package required to define previously a user... Desktop Central - Updates to vulnerability DB fails. Desktop Central Build 90046 Since 9/9/2014 automatic and manual attempts to update the Desktop Central vulnerability database have been failing. Inventory Issue for Mac (OSX) Agents
I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue that I am with the Mac agent. Inventory scans seem to run just fine and from looking at the logs on the client workstation everything is scanned and successfully transmitted to the Desktop Central server however when trying to view inventory data for those workstations it seems to have a lot of problems. Specifically, for new agent installations when viewing the Inventory Details each of the tabs contain no data but the Last Scan time stamp

Hello, We have a file called .lock in DesktopCentral_Server>/bin folder, is this necessary to delete it before applying the hotfix build #90059 ? We had problems to applying a older hotfix, Technical Account Manager give me advise to delete ppm.lock file, but there is only a .lock file Regards, Marco

I have a piece of software that is implemented as a DLL. It is called out of another product and I am looking to inventory this DLL in order to know what versions each machine is running and use this information to target machines for updates.
