Deploy package with system account default
Hi guys: I have a troubles when I would like to deploy a custom package; problems - or may be missundestanding-, with option packages settings: install as "system user" or "run as user".. I've detected when I deploy a package with install option "system User", not working properly, because the package required to define previously a user... Desktop Central - Updates to vulnerability DB fails. Desktop Central Build 90046 Since 9/9/2014 automatic and manual attempts to update the Desktop Central vulnerability database have been failing. In testing out configurations within DC, I have encountered another issue. I followed the entire steps outlined at How to Deploy MSOPP2010 without success, including the Office Customization Tool from Microsoft. Inventory Issue for Mac (OSX) Agents
I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue that I am with the Mac agent. Inventory scans seem to run just fine and from looking at the logs on the client workstation everything is scanned and successfully transmitted to the Desktop Central server however when trying to view inventory data for those workstations it seems to have a lot of problems. Specifically, for new agent installations when viewing the Inventory Details each of the tabs contain no data but the Last Scan time stamp

It is called out of another product and I am looking to inventory this DLL in order to know what versions each machine is running and use this information to target machines for updates. ME MDM App causes Samsung Galaxy Phones to be slow down dramatically and drain battery
Hi, We have received reports from several users that after installing the ME MDM app on their Samsung Phones it causes a number of performance related issues: Phone becomes super slow; Stops working all the time to the point of shut down; Random call drop outs; Battery drains rapidly - From 100% to 0% in 6 hours or less Takes a very long time to charge Has this been reported before and if so what can we do to bring the overall performance of the phone back to what it was before the app was installed?

Software Deployment Build 90045
Completed the upgrade to Desktop Central Build 90045, I then tried to use an existing software Package for IE 11 to push out the installation to 4 Win 7 desktop computers. Received Error Code 40008 and Execution Failed even though the software was installed? Additionally, when I view the software installed on these devices, it lists both an earlier version (IE8) and IE 11 are installed, though when I go to the computer itself and look at the Programs installed, it only lists IE 11. We have set up the GPO per the instructions located at http://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/agent_installation_windows_gpo.html We are able to install it by hand, but the GPO startup isn't working. According to windows logs it is successful, but it never installs. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

MSWU-975 keeps showing up as not installed
Newbie using Desktop Central for patch management. I just noticed that I pushed out the MSWU-975 patch and it installed across all of my PCs but it keeps showing up after the new scans that it has not been installed. tried rebooting a few machines but it keeps coming up. I looked on a couple of the PCs and KB 2917500 was installed multiple times. What do I have configured wrong? I have been manually running the updates and scans until I have my feet wet.
Patch Mgmt and Inventory support for new 64-bit Google Chrome browser?
I see this morning that the Win and Mac versions of Chrome v37.0.2062.94 are now detected. When I install the new 64-bit version of Chrome v37.0.2062.94 on a Win 7 SP1 workstation, then scan it for patches and assets, the 64-bit version is showing up exactly the same as the 32-bit version. There doesn't seem to be any detection of the 64-bit version. This will make it difficult to roll out the 64-bit version to our 64-bit workstations and tablets, if DesktopCentral can't tell us which ones are

I am wondering if anyone is using this application for PCs that are not on a domain. I have 40 locations that have 2-3 computers each that have no VPN or MPLS connection back to main network. All of our apps are cloud based or web driven. Has anyone used this product in this manner. I am looking at a all in one management platform for patching, Remote Control and software rollouts. Currently looking at Logmein Pro & Central but use several other ZOHO apps so want to give them a look as well.
Desktop Central is unable to start after Patch 90045
Hello Team, i´ve try to install the Security Patch with Build number 9_0_0_SP-0_45. During Installation i got the error, that some argument could not be read and the installation was aborting. I restart the whole Server and the Services from the Desktop Central Core Server will not be starting. Additionally, i canot install the newest Hotfix with Build number 9_0_0_SP-0_46 because i get a "unable to install update" warning and the installation is aborting. I´ve found some lines in the "dc_service_log"
Inventory > Software > Filter-by drop-downs no longer working in build 90059
I just applied the latest hotfix 90059 to our Desktop Central server last Saturday. I noticed today that when I select the Inventory tab, then select Software in the left margin and pick any of the categories (or domains or types of software) from the filters, nothing happens. Inventory > Computers and Inventory > Hardware filters work fine. Just Inventory > Software no longer responds. We have two configured administrators, and this is the case for both. I've tried using both Chrome and Firefox
Data share between DC and SDP.
I've recently implemented SDP and DC and hopefully have it all up and running as expected. It was my belief that the two synched asset data. I'm assuming then that if i go through the asset info in SDP I click on the system tab - it shows nothing. However if i go through DC then i see local users, groups, services etc. Should this be pulled across? Or am I thinking it does more than it does?

Desktop Central Server - Backup window
On my actual DC server, when I login, I have at least one "ManageEngine Desktop Central" window open (multiple windows if it has been more than one day since my last login) that has the Backup & Restore tabs. Just sitting there. I have automatic backups configured to backup to a different server. Most of the time the backups appear to be made and by using the popup Backup window I can put in my save location and click Backup and it is successful.. I don't understand why this window keeps popping

Removing IP address from multiple IP Server
Hi, Our Desktop Central Server is currently configured with two IP addresses. The setting for the server IP address under Admin > Agent Settings > General Settings > Server IP address has an IP listed and the option to Automatically detect and save the IP Address change is checked. I'd like to remove one of the IP's on this server. If I have read the documentation correctly I should just be able to remove it and the restart the Desktop Central service on the server. This should then update the IP
Scope of management OU synchronization problem
I am running Desktop Central v90033. I have configured SoM to scan Active Directory for new machines every morning and automatically install the agent. I have noticed that SoM is finding computers that are not in an OU that I have specifically included in the configuration. If I select a parent OU in SoM, is that supposed to find machines in any of the OUs beneath it? If not, this appears to be a bug in the software.

Installed Software Not Listed
After running an asset scan on a machine I look at the list of Installed Software and a specific application that I know is installed on the machine is not listed. This program is installed on all machines and it shows up on most but not all of the machines in the Installed Software list. I've found that if I uninstall and re-install the agent on those machines it quickly finds the missing application.
