We're on DC 92080. The latest SP on the DC_SP-and-Hotfixes_Site is 92082. The actual Version seems to be 92093 with Autoapproval supported since 92091. Where can i find the most recent Version? Kind Regards Rainer
After migrating to MS SQL
Hi, I've recently migrated the patch management database to our MS SQL server. I see that postgresql is still running in the task manager and ME is the only software that uses it on our server. Is it possible to deactivate it completely and remove the according data from the server safely?
Exchange Anti-Spam Updates / Windows Defender updates
I never see these become available for approval or deployment. Does ManageEngine not support the Exchange Anti-Spam Updates or Defender updates? We do run a very nice behavioral based AV but like to run Defender as a backup. As far as the Anti-Spam updates, I don't see how that is not happening. We also run an anti-spam firewall between our Exchange and the WAN boarder but it doesn't always catch everything and it's nice to have those Anti-Spam Updates. Thanks,
Configuration check
If I create a configuration for all users to place an entry in the registry and that entry is deleted by the user. Desktop Central MSP API?
I'm wondering if there is an API that would be accessible through PowerShell to be able to run custom reports? I need to pull a Missing Patch report for multiple clients a week before their scheduled patch deployment, and using Powershell would make this very easy for me instead of having to filter out everything manually (very tedious). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Remote Server download all languages patches
Hi there I can see that all our Remote DC servers downloading all language patches even not needed for current region For example London DC has only English language machines but I can see packages for Russian, Chinese, Romanian In case of Windows 10 patches too big, it's extremely loading WAN. Java 32 bit and 64 bit versions are not being patched automatically
hi guys i have a dilema where i have machines with both versions of Java. 64bit is showing up as needing a patch and gets patched however 32bit is not showing as needing a patch even tho there is a new version available just as the 64bit version. I am told that Desktop Central if it sees both versions it can only patch the 64bit version. Has any of you seen this, any reason why it cannot patch both? Obviously we can do a manual deployment but it would be easier if it was to see the required patch
Deployment Policy updates in latest hotfix
I recently updated to 9.2.79. I brought this up during a chat but didn't think i was able to explain it well enough with out screen shots. Desktop Central Server Dead
Hello! The hard drive on my desktop central server died and I am unable to retrieve the desktop central files and database. I will need to fresh install Desktop Central on a new machine. Once I do this how to I get it to talk to all of the machines with the agent already installed? Or will it find them automatically? Thanks for any help!
Custom groups using custom data
I would like to be able to create custom groups using the custom data fields. Is this possible? For example, I add location information and would like to create a custom group based on that location. I don't see how to do this. We are on version 90029 but planning on updating soon. If it's not in our current version is it in the new version? Thanks! Amanda

Postpone reboot...
Is it possible to increase the time to postpone a reboot up to 8hrs. Right now users get the option to postpone for min 15 min - max 4hrs. We would like to give the option to postpone for up to 8hrs. Reason being, developers certain users are very sensitive, if they are interrupted or "constantly" prompted every 4hrs to reboot if effects their productivity. This way they can postpone for their 8hr workday and reboot in the evening. Thanks.
Patches failing to download
Hello I am seeing a portion of the patches I need not being downloaded - most download successfully, but there are quite a few that fail. When I download them manually, however, by clicking on the link in the Patch ID window, I am able to download them to my computer. Please advise.

Freshly installed Mac Agent not reporting in or showing as active...
After enabling root on a remote Mac, running El Capitan 10.11.5, I successfully pushed the Mac Agent to the system. However, the system is not reporting in to DC and is showing up as offline. DC Remote Control Copy and Paste
Hi I need some help/advice re DesktopCentral's Remote Control feature. I am finding that it doesn't support the copying of text from the controlled PC to the controller's PC but it works the other way round. Is there a way to get this working bi-directional? I am using the HTML5 option with Chrome browser, but also tried with Firefox and Edge. Thanks for any suggestions!
Folder Size Custom Script
I am about to do upgrades and need to know how to check specific folder sizes. The custom script to check folder size suggests using <Documents>, <Music>, etc as a script argument. Windows 10 Desktop Management
Currently MS transfer the management from GPO to MDM, it would be great to support GPO Settings through the configurations and add the ability to manage the devices through MDM! Currently we must manually add the registry keys to the clients via the configurations, this is not the best solution.
Hardware monitoring
Are there any plans for such a "must have" feature as hardware monitoring inside Desktop Central? It would be really nice being able to monitor SMART, temperatures, HDD,RAM, CPU consumption and get alert when needed.
Collection Wizard
Is there rational for why we cant install software and then take other following steps in the collection wizard. Example being I need to push software but then push a configuration file and restart the service after installation In today's world i need to install the application then follow up with a collection that updates the file and restarts the service. Would it be possible to run/install patchess from self service? Just add a "Associate Patch" button when configuring self-service?
Installing packages from user group in self service is unreliable
I have mentioned this to support before, detailing how domain admins can't install packages from their usergroup in self-service. Recently I thought I had a good idea by adding a domain admin to the local admin group on the local machine. SDP Asset State
Hi I'm running Desktop Central Professional Edition 9.2, build 92063 and ServiceDesk Plus Professional 9.2. We have deployed the DesktopCentral agent to all computers on the domain and these have been scanned and inventoried in both Desktop Central and ServiceDesk Plus. However, when I view the Assets (Workstations Scanned/Detected) in ServiceDesk Plus, the Asset State for all of them is shown as 'In Store' (see attached image). Is this correct? Update 92073 awful Filters
Hello After update to 92073 Filter works very bad. 1. Filtering tool inconvenient to compare with previous! More actions required. Click to FILTER button, click to + , choose criteria (it was EQUAL by default) . 2. Chrome 51 (last patch) click to APPLY freezing page 3. IE11 and Chrome - Choosing "Value" window - works incorrect for items in list. It's jump to TOP when I try to choose item from bottom. Cache is cleared. Tried in Private mode. Dmitry
Unified Agent software deployment
OK then. I created a package for a new software we are using for our laptops. It is called Bluecoat Unified Agent. I modified the MSI installer using InstEd. I tested the install on my PC (using the /quitet and /norestart) and it worked without showing anything on screen. I setup an install for this package on Desktop Central and attempted to install it on some of our laptop and I get "Fatal error during installation." on all of them. File folder operation configuration needs "deployment settings" option
Really all configurations should have the deployment settings option available (example: custom scripts configurations need it too) We need to push a a file to a directory that wont exist until after our software deployment configuration runs with the deployments settings set between 12 - 3am Easy I thought.. I'll just set my file folder operation to run between 3 - 6am except I dont have the option to pick a deployment policy in the file folder operation configuration. That is really inconvenient!
MSI package command switches
When you configure a new MSI deployment package, does Desktop Central automatically add any command switches? I am trying to add /quiet and /norestart and it says invalid command line argument.

DC update error
Hi there, I've updated DC from 92051 to 92063. Update process wrote "update successful", but DC service couldn't start, tray icon either. I tried: 1. Restore files updated by 92063 with no luck 2. When 92073 rolled out I trued to upgrade to it, but I'm getting error at the beginning of installation: "Unable to install the patch." I have backups of DC folder at 92051 release. What can I do now?
Verify Patch "Pre-Load" option
Hi, I am going to deploy patches to our Windows Servers. They get patched only every few months so there are quite a number of "missing patches". Last time I did this, the patching process took several hours which "destroyed" my time table. I want to improve the process by creating a new Deployment Policy and activating "Preload Patches during refresh". Now my question is: Where are the patches stored at the target server? I would like to make sure all patches are there when I finally start installing
Disable Windows Recommended Updates
I'd like to continue getting Windows Updates, but not the "Recommended Updates" that include device drivers. I may have missed it, but I cant seem to find a config or discussion about it. Anyone else have this setup or know where I might start to getting this configured?

Hi FYI, since the DC agent was updated to 9.2.071.W, several antivirus tools such as BitDefender, F-Secure, GData, eScan etc. flag dcappcontrol.exe as Adware.Crossrider. There were no problems with agent 9.2.058.W. Regards Stefan
Random/temporary SW install errors
Hi, I am using DTC for one year by now. I see some errors during software deployment which "do not make sence" - or I cannot understand why they happen: Errors like: Error occurred while fetching the package path url Unknown Error.
