Updating 92082 to 10003
I've just tried updating to the 10003 build but have received the following error each time, rollback was successful so no problems at the moment but just wanted to make you aware of the problem. Update Manager warning when applying 92113 hotfix
My environment has an on-premise Desktop Central 9 installation running build 92099. I want to apply the hotfix to upgrade to 92133, but the update manager gives me the following warning and I cannot proceed: "This build 92113 is currently not recommended for your network. Please wait till you get latest build updates from Desktop Central." Is there a workaround for this, or could I perhaps be missing something? Thanks!
How to create a default configuration to apply to all current and future desktops?
I created a configuration to set the default browser homepage and deployed it to all current users, but I would like it to automatically apply to new users (and new desktops when the DC agent gets installed).
Patch Deployment Scheduling
I am working on creating groups for automatic deployment of patching. My goal is to have everything go to the test group for approval / disapproval. A week later have a larger group pick up the approved patches. Finally, the rest of the computers picking up approved patches a week after that. my question is, If I set the group to "scan, download, and deploy missing patches." on a specific date, and they happen to be turned off that day. Will they pickup the "scan, download, and deploy" the next

Desktop Central 10/9 version confusion?
Hi, On the main download page for DC it now states download desktop central 10. However when you then go to click on the service packs and upgrades it takes you to the current build of 9. Am I right in assuming that the main download where it states version 10 is still actually version 9? Or have i missed something about an upgrade version? Thanks

Can someone please point me to some documentation on how to create packages with desktop central? I am new to the program, and I am trying to create a simple drive mapping, but can't seem to figure it out. We usually use the net use command, but it does not seem to give me that option. Force server to specific IP
Hello guys, I have couple IPs hanging on my box. But I would like to force the DC server to specific address. https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/desktop-central-server-ip-binding.html The above article doesn't help. After those changes, the service is trying to start (the tray icon status), but it looks like the ports change to 10 from 8020 both After couple of minutes the service stops and nothing happens. Desktop Central errors when running patching configurations
When running some patch configurations I have a few systems that fail to take some .net patches and result in the following error - "A Patching error A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider" The systems throwing these errors are windows 2008+ servers. I'm certain this isn't a DC issue but do you have any ideas on how they may be resolved?

I have setup a sw package for office and I need the user to call me after the setup finishes. The setup works fine. Then I added a post-deployment activity "Run script". Should I be able to apply a Configuration to a Custom Group
I'm new to the product so maybe I'm misunderstanding how to go about something and hope someone can help me out. I have a site with 10 machines in it and I'd like to deploy software and configurations to just one of those machines. From the Admin tab I created a Custom Group and populated it with the one machine I want to target. Hello, It would be great if desktop central and any other products applicable would have an option to use the current logged on credentials of the user, or have an option where it only asked you for credentials one time and saved them as opposed to forcing a user to put in the same credentials every time for every operation. thank you -sean
Mac Remote Control not working

AD Groups not syncing
I go to Reports-> Security Groups-> Choose Domain-> Select the group and it only has 2 members in it. When I go to AD it has 4 members how do I make it sync up?
How can I remove junk Metro apps?
When I manually build a machine I run a script while logged on as the local administrator that removes many of the extra Windows metro crap. I would like to accomplish the same thing using DC-MSP but have not yet figured out how to make it work. I'm open to solutions that don't include my script but work with DC-MSP and wondering how others accomplish the same thing. Here's what I normally run... We a running Build No:92093 and we are often getting a error when trying to install patches of Unknown Error. Code : -2145124329 Rebooting doesn't fix it. Syncing the Vulnerability DB hasn't helped it. What's the next step?
MSI Software Deployment
When i launch my MSI standalone, the package does its thing and then exits (0) When i launch my MSI via Software Deployment, using MSI, Desktop Central executes it and reports back a status successful before the package actually finishes. My question is, how does desktop central execute the packages and why doesnt it wait for the package to end before reporting a status back to the main server ?

Login issues?
Hello, Curious if anybody else is experiencing login issues with Desktop Central. I currently have a support case open but wanted to reach out to the community as well. The application and services are all running (successful agent communication etc) however; our login attempts are getting lost in the void. The page just churns as the authentication request dies in the background (both local and domain authentication.) This is not a new DC9 installation or setup, we've been running it for years now.
USB Block/Unblock Status

Adding a computer
I have a computer that I cannot ad to DC. The error states "The specified network name is no longer available" I thought it might be an issue with the computer, so I completely reinstalled Windows, but I still cannot get this to install the agent. It shows up in my list of computers in AD, so I don't know what's going on Darren.

What is Associated Computers in License management? You move computer there when license had been removed? What if you moved computer to Associated Computers section and need to move it back to Associate License Computer list? Are there reverse option? Please advise.

Certificate Chain not Valid
Hello, We are using desktopcentral (version 91113) with mdm integration (with the Forwarding Server version 90016). On the destkopcentral server we have a certificate signed by an internal CA (local only - not third party CA). This certificate is trusted by the domain. On the forwarding server we have a certificate trusted by Start-SSL, public side of MDM. Since beginning of december (build 910099 I suppose) we have an error showed in the desktop central server interface : Certificate Chain not Valid.

Uninstall from software doesn't work
We're trying to uninstall Flash Player from the Inventory > Software > we select the radio dial next to Adobe Flash player we select uninstall we get the prompt with the uninstall switch select save and the uninstall just sits at uninstall initiated..no failure no success. What's up?

Error Message when trying to apply Build Update
I am currently at Build 92099. I downloaded the ppm for 92113 from the website, when i try to apply I get error message "This Build 92113 is currently not recommended for your network.
