I have pushed agent installation task from the DC admin console & it is failed. as DC admin we used normal domain account. After that i have added that account to the target machine (agent install machine) administrator group. then installation was successful.
Help with transferring files to central repository
I have a script that runs on every server and spits out a file with data. What I am trying to is have DTC move all of these files to a central file repository on a file share. I keep running into errors and i was curious what would be the correct way to get that configured.

Configuration Manager - IP Printer - Windows 10
Hello, In my environment we do not have a domain so I use a configuration to deploy printers by IP. It worked great for XP and 7 however now that I'm moving to Window 10 I'm having issues. With Windows 10 I receive the error: "Device Drivers Installation Failed: No mapping between accounts names and security IDs was done." I've tried just about everything I can find in forums with no luck. The script runs fine on a Windows 7 PC. Any thoughts? Greg

Hi, We try to push a default company homepage link to all our users browser (IE, Chrome & Firefox), but we got a problem on which the proxy port change from 8080 (our proxy port) into port 80 in all of the browsers while we only change the home page section and leave others option into "preserve client setting". Another problem is when we try to change the 80 port back into 8080 in Firefox, the change can't be permanent, even we close and reopen Firefox, it keeps show port 80. Any idea how to accomplish

Migrate DC DB from postgres to MSSQL
Hello, I'm trying to migrate Desktop Central DB from PGsql to MSSQL. I've followed the steps provided on the Admin manual of DB migration. But. First, I couldn't find the batch file with migrate pg to MSSQL, it only available the batch migrateDBtoPostgres.bat. when I run the mentioned batch file, I get DC is successfully stopped and nothing happens after. how to perform the migrate? please assist. Sophos Removal Script not working in DTC but works fine as script
Hi, I have been trying to remove sophos from all my computers to install McAfee. I have a script that when I run normally on a pc will remove sophos no issue so thought great will just add the script to DTC so I setup new software configuration added the script and tested it on a number of computers the script starts off fine stops the services but fails to run the next part of removing the software. If I copy the same script to the computer and run it then it does the uninstall fine just not from

Software Deployment - Access Denied for one of the package
We are trying to deploy a couple of .exe files to around 30 workstations. For around 3 workstations, one of the .exe files would fail with the error "Access Denied". No matter how many times we retry, that specific package will always fail with "Access Denied". The same package can deploy to the rest of the workstations without a problem. Why cant I use batch scripts?
Hello, I'm having trouble with custom scripts. I'm trying to use a custom script in the Post-Deployment activities. And I keep getting the same error message: "Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help." At first I started with the correct script I wanted to deploy and got that error message. And then I tried it with the most basic script I could make, which is just a batch Hello World: @echo "Hello World" And I still keep getting the same error.

Desktop Central MSP - Need to change a distribution server
We have an existing distribution server for an organization, whose machines are all part of Desktop Central MSP. However, we are getting rid of the local distribution server (not the MSP server) and replacing it with a new local distribution server. The question is, will we need to uninstall all the existing agents in DC MSP and re-install them with the new distribution server? Or do we need to point the agents to the new server only? Or is there nothing we need to do? I appreciate the help.
Deleting a folder on multiple computers
I need to delete a zipped folder on multiple computers. I understand that I go and create a new configuration, then choose "Delete Folder" but I can't figure out what to put in the source folder screen. How to you put something like \\192.168.x.x\c\foldername if it's on multiple computers? Any help is appreciated. Darren

Hi All, I am getting the following message from Desktop Central when trying to back up via a UNC. Insufficient Disk Space / Access Denied. Either you do not have sufficient disk space to perform the Backup operation or you do not have write access to the backup location. Available free space [ 0 MB ], required free Drive has 389 gig free. Permissions for everyone on the folder is set to full control read and write. Hi, Would be a good idea and nice feature if it was possible to add and create custom groups, based on a search.or even criteria like last connect time, ect. As an example I need to deploy a configuration now, but only for a group of people. There is no easy way to do that.Its a pain to create custom groups as it is now and adding and removing as well.
Placing an icon on user desktop when it's read only
Were looking at making none administrators desktop read-only but we want to be able to deploy icons to users desktops and not all users. Dear Support if you guys not offering any support on phone please stop publishing it and remove from IVR . I try to call so many times No one ever pick up the phone always go on message and left around 20 plus message in last 3 weeks not a single call back .
