Mac Remote Control
Is anyone having a good experience with Desktop Central Mac agents? I have installed it on a test computer in my environment and am having nothing but frustration. Remote control is extremely flaky, the computer shows offline even though I can ping it from the server and vice versa, and then suddenly it will be back online, but only for a few minutes. This is a LAN machine and I'm not having similar issues with PCs.
Agent Install Access is Denied
Greetings, I have a new copy of Desktop Central version 10.0.575 on a Windows 10 Pro computer joined to an Active Directory domain. In Scope of Management, I added the domain. I was able to add the domain computers to SOM, but when I try to install the agent, I get Access is denied. I tried modifying the domain details and reentering the password, but it did not help. I tried selecting the computers and then clicking the Edit Credentials button before installing the agent, but that did not help

Some computers in SoM getting error after trying agent installation (The target account name is incorrect. ). I read KB and there is only one description. Cause When a computer is imaged and copied in a different computer, you will find two computers with the same account name. But i don't have in my domain computers with same names.. Duplicate computers MacOS
Good day, All Mac computers are connected to the domain. When the agent is automatically installed, they are registered with the local domain name xxx.local The business domain name remains on the list of computers. How can you leave only the enterprise domain name so that there are no duplicate computers?
Install agent by IP and not in domain from GUI
Hello, is there a way to install the agent using the GUI only with the IP? We have some clients that are not in the AD. So we do not always have to log on to the computer to install the agent. This was not a problem with our previous product. Best regards Michael

Import IP Scope
Can someone help fix the CSV import file. I have tried multiple browsers to import it and it always fails with - Header name(s) " REMOTE_OFFICE_NAME " are not allowed When I choose to download the failed CSV it always has an extra row added under the top line.
Manage off-domain PCs
Hi all - Since COVID has hit, we have a larger number of users working from home with IT-provided laptops. Everything was going fine but all of a sudden a lot of users are locking the local accounts and since they're at home, we have no way of helping without the users bringing the laptops back. We have the users RDP in by going through a RDP gateway; so there is no VPN involved. Is there a way to set up Desktop Central to be able to manage those laptops?

Desktop Central Service Account for connecting Active Directory
Does anyone know if its possible to connect Desktop Central to AD without having a domain admin account? I don't want to have to assign the service account domain admin privileges. Ideally, we can assign it specific permissions to read/enumerate user and computer accounts. I would be surprised to find out if banks or government agencies would allow a service account to have full domain admin privileges. Can we get more granular with the permissions required for the service account that connects DesktopCentral
Default apps in Kiosk
Hi Must be a common thing but cannot find this anywhere. We use Kiosk mode to lock down many of our Android (v9) phones and deliver selected apps. Problem is how do you get default apps such as "Phone" "Messaging "Camera" to appear in Kiosk so the user can access them? Thanks LCD

Hi I use DTC along with ServiceDesk Plus is there a way to mark/delete an asset in DTC and for it to appear in SDP as disposed of. I need to keep the history of the item in SDP within my CMDB but am happy to get rid of the item in DTC?

Inventory - how to track periperal devices ?
Hello everyone! We use the Desktop Central Professional edition. We utilize it to keep track of our inventory. I noticed that peripheral devices disappear eventually when unplugged (e.g. a user has two monitors and disconnects one). Is there an option to choose which peripheral devices will stay listed indefinitely? The reason I ask: If I issue a computer with two monitors to a user, I want to be able to keep track of the computer and both monitors. Even if the user unplugs the second monitor

The result of scanning apps on Microsoft Store failed
Hello, I conducted software scan on endpoints. The result for Desktop Apps was correct, while that for Microsoft Store was not. It seemed that the wrong result showed the outdated one: For example, I did uninstall "Candy Crush..." on my computer (Apps and Features), but the scan result on Desktop Central still showed this app. Confirm that the scan was successful. I'm having some doubt about firewall new rules, which block "Google", but not so certain about that.

Software inventory metrics inconsistent
I'm running into a problem that is making license management difficult. The software details pages list one number of installations for managed installations, but a completely different number of actual installations. I've attached three examples below. The first is Snagit 13.0.1.6326, which reports 4 total installations, but only lists one computer. Desktop Central SoM Inactive Computers Removed but still Enabled
Hi, I am not sure what happens with computers that have been removed by Desktop Central due to inactivity max days. I just get an alert that the computer has been deleted from SoM. The computers are shelved test machines that are still enabled in AD. When an previously removed inactive computer is powered on the agent re-checks in with MEDC server or it just uninstalls the agent as if manually removed from Som? Thanks.

Hi, I write you beacuse I installed desktop central in 8 different sites using for each one a specific distribution server. With the build version 10.0.515 everything worked properly. After the agent upgrade to 10.0.516 all distribution servers of Remote Offices all DS are in orange alert with the declaration that "Replication Cycle finisced with some failures". Manage 33 computers and have had no problem with 30 of them. 1 cannot be added for some reason. I get "Access Denied". I have read the referenced KB. The "Enable Distributed COM" was already enabled, the "Enable DCOM Internet Services" was not. What is an appropriate authentication level for each of the following. Confusion over Product Numbers
I hate to admit it but I am totally confused as ManageEngine's product numbers. I am using the licensed version - currently 10.0.450. Reading the forum posts there are many references to problems existing in versions 10.0.466, 472, 473, 475, 476, 509, 510, and 511. The version that is being pushed right now is 10.0.478. Windows 10 Version Upgrades
Good Morning, i am working on a project to upgrade all of our Windows 10 versions to the current 1909. I am having a problem with some of the previous versions when I apply the configuration. I am getting error "Patch stored location is not available to download the patch from the server." This is happening on the local LAN and on the WAN but I have only investigated locally.
