Some Patches not shown in Applicable Patches
Dear Manage Engine, I've been notice this problem since version 7 and version 8, the Applicable Patches not shown all patches but only show the new patches or some old patches. For example i would like to deploy patches KB958644, KB958687 and KB2121440 for Windows XP, i've success download them and deploy to agent. But from 3 patches i've deploy i'm only seen KB958644 in the Applicable Patches. I've include the attachment Is there anyway that i could put all All Supported Patches into Applicable

"Community updates"... does this feature work?
I have about 830 unidentified applications in my inventory, and only 16 of them were identified as "commercial". But the majority of the unidentified ones are applications that are just minor version revisions of commercial software. For example, "Adobe Acrobat" was listed as "commercial" automatically. However, "Adobe Acrobat X Standard - English, Français, Deutsch", version 10.1.6 and 10.1.7 both were listed as unidentified. Also, I have dozens of "Adobe Flash Player 11" that are listed as unidentified.
copy file based upon attributes
we have an older application that utilizes a .lbr file to hold the code to access our DB. The develops will make changes to the lbr file and we need to push it out once they have made the change. Will copy file do that?

I would like to know if any of these options will be included on desktop central usb blocking new features: - Ability to allow only read access to usb or cdrom drives for certain users or computers - Ability to filter specific files type to be allowed or blocked, ex: user x have a cdrom read access but can only copy certain files like .doc or .xls Thanks
Problem with Dinamic custom group
I have 2 Dinamic custom group. 1º With computers with S.O = Windows xp 2 With computers with S.O = Windows 7 all computers belong to the same Active Directory. when I want to make a distribution on these dinamic custom groups 1º shows less than computers listing. 2º in dinamic group Windows 7 shows computers with another operating system ( like Windows Xp ) As an emergency solution, I'm exporting the list and put this list as distributing computers but I'm curious to know the reason for failure

Docking Station Identification in Desktop Central
I have been recently asked to try to find and identify a significant amount of hardware that we purchased and have shipped off to various branches, but do not seem to have recorded anywhere - specifically HP docking stations and a few LG and HP monitors (spreadsheets are only as accurate as those who update them, if those people are away, or others take over without their knowledge, things always gets messed up). Trying to Map Network Drive, Fail
We used to use AD to map our private drives but now we want to use DC8 instead. After removing paths in AD and removing logon scripts, I put the path name in DC and I'm getting this error message: "The local device name has a remembered connection to antoher network resource." Control ActiveSync Connections from DC

Re-installing Desktop Central on server
I need to re-install DC to repair some problems. Are there any particular steps I need to take other than just uninstall and reinstall? My main concern is that the re-installed copy will be able to locate all the desktops with agents, so I will not need to push out agent installs again.
Problem with Client Mac
I have Destkop Central Build No:80234. When I install a client Mac, I'm all steps and it´s shows the mac has been installed correctly but in the SOM, never appears in the inventory. The Mac computer has no proxy or firewall. Where are the logs on the Mac to see the problem? Thanks
Problem with deploying on Win7/8 configuration. Access denied
Hello, I have problem with deploying configuration on Hosts with Win7 and Win8 OS. Configuration deployed ok on Host with Win XP but all new hosts with W7 and W8 has error Access denied. GPO are the same on all hosts so creditional are the same. I really dont know what is the problem... I saw in forum history that can be problem in WMI and open ports on Win7. User Configuration - Deploy shortcut
Hello, i need advice. I have shortcut which i need deploy to selected users desktops. My problem is that users in firm can log on more than one computer with their account. Configuration that i created, deploy shortcut first time when user is log in, but next day when user log in another computer with his account shortcut is not deployed - ( because configuration deployed first time ADME for DC i think operation is completed)... Grouping templates
I would be great if you could group software deployments and collections together as a single template for deployment. We currently have a configuration that I use as a template that deploys three software packages. We then also have a collection that deploys an ico file to the PC long with two icons. It would be great if these multiple configurations could be groups together somehow so the whole thing could be grouped in one step

Software Deployment via AD Group Membership
I setup Configurations for the deployment of applications, using Active Directory group memberships of the computers to filter on. When I change the membership of the AD groups, Desktop Central does not pick up this change. I have to go into the Configuration and click Deploy for Desktop Central to re-enumate the changed group membership. I want to be able to add computers to groups, and have Desktop Central automatically pick up the new group membership and install applications accordingly.
MDM local communication with tablet or phone
Hi, If I have android tablets which are always located on the corporate network how can I set them to communicate directly with the local desktop central installation without going to internet since they are connected to the same desktop central lan. Is there a way, cause those I don't want to let them connect to internet. Best Practice for Third Party Major Version Upgrades?
What's the best way to do a major version upgrade? For example, I'd like to replacement Adobe Reader 10 with 11. I'd like to do this for all machines that currently have Reader installed, while avoiding installing it on machines that don't have any version of Reader installed. Thanks

Wrong HP warranty after Product code is entered and a warranty scan was initiated
Hi, following issues occured today in Desktop Central (Build 80234): Today a have put in some product codes for some of our HP machines to get the warranty from HP imported. Most of the machines now show the correct warranty expiring date but some machines show a wrong date. When i check the warranty for those machines directly with HP's Warranty Check Website the date is displayed correct, but Dekstop Central is getting a wrong date by the scan. How can this appear? Inventory Summary Never Completes
Recently (before upgrading to the latest build), the inventory summary generation hangs on "Summary generation in progress..." I don't know if this is a related issue or not, but we recently deployed a new version of commercial software (new version number and updated name) but Desktop Central does not recognize the new software on all the systems, only a select few. It still shows the systems having the old version and name-even after scanning the systems individually.

I'm evaluating this product and have hit a bit of a roadblock. First I'll start by saying I do have a support ticket open for this issue but have yet to get a fix/resolution. I have Windows firewall disabled globally on my domain. I am able to successfully push the agent to client computers. When I initiate scan from the DC server I can view the agent on the client machine and the scan begins as expected. Unable to add Custom Group in "User Collection"

I recently updated Service Desk Plus to build 8203 and the integrated chat function indicates in the read me that it requires Desktop Central Build 80238 for this functionality. The chat icon still appears in the tickets, but gives the error that it requires build 80237 to function. In either case, the latest version of Desktop Central that i can find is build 80234 (http://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/service-packs.html) Where can i get the latest build?
