Configuration template - turn off autoupdate for Adobe Flash
Hello, I already use the configuration templates to turn off autoupdate of Adobe Acrobat and Java. Could you provide a similar template for Adobe Flash (ActiveX and non-IE)?
Is there a disable Adobe Flash updater configuration template being worked on?
I tried to use this script (flashautoupdate.txt) but it did not work. I renamed the file to flashautoupdate.vbs, setup a custon script and deployed it. The script ran successfully according to DC. But my Flash setting is still set to Allow Adobe to install updates (recomended). Did I do something wrong? Is there a Disable Adobe Flash being worked on?
Service Won't Start after 80279 Update
I updated our Desktop Central installation to 80279 and now the service won't start. The event viewer shows an error that says: The ManageEngine Desktop Central service terminated with service-specific error %%-1 I'm also seeing MySQL startup events and shutdown events that correspond with the service start and stop.
Incorrect Path when adding a new Software Package
When adding a new software package, DC adds it successfully, but the path showing on the administrartion site is different than the actual path where the files were actualy uploaded. This results in errors when the package is deployed, like (Path not found) The path showing on the admin portal: swrepository\1\swuploads\SoftwareName The actual path where the files exisit: swrepository\DCSWHttpRepository\1\swuploads\SoftwareName Why is this happening and how can we fix it? Bulk IP Scope SQL Query
How would I be able to execute a query to bulk-import a list of IP scopes into Desktop Central? I have imported my remote offices, but no functionality exists for doing the same with IP Scopes. I have a CSV that contains my desired IP scope and the remote office name. Can a query be produced to import this, or is there an interface through which I could dump it into DC8's database? I have a Remote Desktop Services server which I know a browser was installed on between certain date ranges (ServiceDesk Plus tells me this). Installation problems using .exe file and a record file (ISS)

Remote Connection Audit
I have a quick question about auditing remote connections. If I have the "User Confirmation" disabled for a workstation, it will not show the history under Tools > Remote Control and History tab (or under the individual computer remote history - clicking the icon next to the computer name), but I can see the information if I look under Admin > Action Log Viewer and view Remote Connections. If I enable "User Confirmation", the information will show under Admin > Action Log Viewer as well as Tools

Remote office DS License not compatable error
Hi team We are having an issue where the SOM Remote Office shows there is an "Incompatible License for Distribution Server ". We are seeing various inconsitancies in the application at our remote sites, including, remote hosts not installing client when pushed (but will if admin logs into host and deploys), software not deploying to remote site. I need to create a report to show all of the patches that were installed on my servers for the last 90 days. I searched through the report options and seem to be missing it. Anyone know how/where this report can be created?
Software deployment: Stuck in Ready to Execture
Hi, I recently setup a patch deployment for Adobe's latest version of flash. We have a "custom dynamic group" setup that targets all the computers we are managing with Desktop Central (approx. 241 computers total). I deploy the "Configuration" using the "Deploy" button and set the schedule to "Install during startup". The status of the "Configuration" just stays as "Ready To Execute" I found this KB which explains when a "Configuration" will switch out of the ready state. As I test I have rebooted
Last Contact time for a PC and Lenght of Time on-line afterwards
I know how to obtain the Last Contact time in Scope of Management. I have not found the Last Contact Time listed for automated reports (Last Scan Time is listed). Is it possible to add Last Contact Time to the list so I can produce a report that lists both the Last Scan Time (I interpret this as meaning Last "Successful" Scan Time) and Last Contact Time? Also, does DC keep track of when a PC initially connects and how long it stays connected? I have a few sites that may have network issues

Remote control window
Hi, Is there a way in which the remote control window can be moved onto a different screen, when using a machine with 2 monitors it would be useful to be able to move the remote control window from the main screen to the extended screen, (in my case from the left screen to the right screen). Microsoft rereleased Patches for Sept 2013 show original release date in DC
I have not approved all the MS patches for automatic deployment by DC becuase of the many reported errors for the Sept 10, 2013 patches. The vulnerability database was updated 9/23/13 at 7 AM Central Daylight Time. 4 Security Bulletins (MS13-067, 072, 073, 074 ) and two non-security patches were updated 9/12/13. I see no MS 9/12/13 released patches in DC. Are the listed patches in D the re-released versions or do I need to wait until they are distributed via DC? Thanks, Mike

Patched Computer - Windows Update still Attempts Install
I have deployed Office 2010 Service Pack 2, and it shows under the list of Installed Updates on the computer, however Windows Update on the computer keeps trying to download it still thinking that it's still needed images.

Hi I'm testing the MDM features of DC with a single device. The enrolment email comes through OK, and I add the certificate etc successfully. However, when the confirmation web page is displayed on the phone's screen telling me that the agent was downloaded correctly and to select it from the notification area, nothing is actually downloaded to the device - there's no apk available, nothing in the downloads etc. Help!

We do not install to the default path in our environment. We use something like "x:\installs". I cannot find a place in the package set up or deployment setup to change the install path. Problems with remote control.
Hello, I'm having a few issues with the remote control feature. I cannot connect to any computer for one of two reasons. The first is when the viewer opens but says "Waiting for Presenter" and never loads. The second won't open the viewer, but when I go back to the remote control section it says "Remote Control Port is not reachable from the client computer." under remarks.
Brand new to Desktop Central
Afternoon Everyone! Okay, I am brand new to Desktop Central 8, and I am having a bit of trouble getting the Remote Control / Remote View to work on computers that are in our other offices outside of this network. I have no trouble at all using the software to connect to machines within the LAN (the agents were installed through the AD server using my AD admin account). I Want to change the DS server from One PC to another in one of teh remote offices. Is it possible to havce 2 DS server in one remote office?.. Desktop Central from Windows XP to Server 2012

DTC Agent
Hello All, I am new to Desktop Central and have taken over administrating it from a former employee. I have updated DTC to 80269 but I have noticed that the agent has not updated on the clients. Does the client automatically update or do I need to deploy the newer version to each client? I noticed that the previous admin had downloaded the agent for each site and put it in a common share. Then he created a GPO for each site to deploy the agent. Should I update the MSI for each site? Thanks, Liam
Can Desktop Central agent send inventory at login?
We are just getting our system set up, and I can't seem to find a way to get the agent to send an inventory when the user logs in. I can schedule an inventory, but all of our other tools, including Asset Explorer, send an inventory each time the user logs in if there is a change in the data. I cannot find any way to accomplish this with the Desktop Central client. Thanks! Dave
