Removing unused software from Inventory list?
We're testing DC and so far only have it running on 5 PCs. However, I've already upgraded the software on them a few times and now I have versions of previous software hanging around the inventory with 0 Installations listed. I can see this list getting positively filled with old software after a year or so. Is there some way to remove or not show software that isn't actually installed on any of the managed systems? Also, is there some reason I can sort the Software Inventory by any column *except*
Urgent.. MEDC Agents
Hi, After the installation of build 60328, all the agents upgraded to version 6.3.25 Now, if I right clicked the agent and selected "Send request to helpdesk" it will take around 20-30 seconds to show the window and and another 20 seconds to send the message!! This will happen also for all the options in the list. if double clicked the agent icon, Agent will crash and show send error to microsoft and will not start again automaticlly!! what shall I do to fix this ASAP??!! full missing patches download for all affected systems
I want to apply all critical missing patches to all pcs that require it (I think what you call Affected Systems). If I select all the missing critical pathces and deploy them (by creating the congiruration) will it push every individual patch to its affected systems or to all systems ??? Am just worried that it will push all the missing patches to all the systems registered in my desktop central! regardless if the system requires the patch or not or if it is compatible or not! Thanks
Bug Report Proxy Settings
I Beleve i have found a minor bug it has to do with the inital proxy Setting When you Click on the patch management tab for the first time it comes up with a warning that your proxy is not set so you click on the link and it opends a popup windows to change the settigs i entered all the detales for our proxy (Whick Has No Passwors) and then i click ok and it says verifying...........then failed but if i go into the admin tab and enter the proxy settings there exactly the same it works ok and

ManageEngine Serive Will not start Error 1053
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. This started happening on a few of my machines and I cannot figure out why any ideas? Stops talking to server and service stops. Prior the systems scanned just fine. Joe

I have automated patch deployment active and over the past week it has been attempting to deploy an Office Service pack, however it keeps coming up as: office2003-KB907417-FullFile-ENU.exe Failed The handle is invalid. Today 12:46:42 AM I have deleted and re-downloaded the patch with the same issue. run scripts as Administrator
Hi, I have a script file that will upgrade my network's PCs with a new Antivirus version, I tried to run the script from MEDC and it showed as successfully applied But actually it is not. All PCs still have the old version, I noticed that when we run the script it should run as administrator. is there a way to do this from MEDC?? Regards,

Add Current System Time
Would really like to see the Current System Time added to any place that you have to put in an actual time. This is extremely important when you are wanting to push something immediately...since there isn't an immediate option you have to choose the next minute...and knowing what the current system time is would be helpful.
What do you consider a "Weekday"
I have been using the Automated Patch Deployment and WOL Tool. I have both set to Daily - Weekdays only. However, I noticed this weekend that both kicked off on both Saturday and Sunday. We consider those Weekends, what is programmed into DC6 as a "Weekday". Thx. Richard

Remote Control :: Access Denied
I have one system that I am unable to access remotely. When I attempt to access the machine an error appears beside the machine in the SOM tab that states, "Access Denied". I have reference the knowledge base and have re-entered my credentials but, as I said previously, I can get to all other machines. Additionally, I verified that his firewall permits Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop. "Last SuccessFul Vulnerability DB Update"
I have noticed that this does not get updated when it automatically checks the Vulnerability DB. It appears to be successful, because if I manually sync it, it says it's up-to-date and then the "Last Successful Vulnerability DB Update" status gets updated. Automatic Patch Deployment Not Working
I am running Automated Patch Deployment, and it was running fine...however since I created a Support File to send to AdventNet this appears to have stopped working....not sure if one has to do with the other but it happened right about the same time. The Automated Patch Deployment shows that it was successful and it runs at the time I have set it to, however there is no longer any DEPLOY PATCHES configuration showing up. Exception Report in Desktop Central
Is there any way to create an exception report on software not installed in Desktop Central? For instance, can I create a report that tells me all of the systems in Inventory that do NOT have WinZip installed?
Install UltraVNC and config file
Okay I have been able to deploy UltraVNC silently via DC, however the part missing is copying the ultravnc.ini and security file to the machine. I have tried setting up "file folder" operation to copy the files to the machine as the user logs in but keep getting access is denied which makes no sense. Works fine if the folder exists but when "create directory if doesn't exist" is checked is when I get access denied message. Any ideas.

Listing of ALL printers (networked, local, and shared)?
We need to get a count of all printers in our network...not just "networked" printers (hosted via a server), but also all local and/or shared printers. This information is available by walking through each and every PC one at a time and going into the hardware information, but with several hundred PCs, this is not workable. Is there a better way to collect this information? Is there a report that lists all printers, networked and local and shared? Thanks!
Agent Installation - One time or perpetual?
When adding computers in SOM and installing the agent immediately, there are some computers that will not have the agent installed because they are not currently connected to the network...specifically laptops. The question I have is does DC6 continually try to install the Agent to these computers, or is it a one time thing? Reason I ask is that we have probably 50-75 laptops that I want included in patch updates, software rollouts etc, but if I have to keep trying to hit them manually to install
