AppManager will run for a week then all monitoring stops
I downloaded and installed the new appmanger using the trial version (MYsql) monitoring a few windows servers and a single SQL server. Then in a few days well before the trails ends all resources stop getting monitored and some resources when I click them just goes to a blank page? I see them all listed and they are all in green status but when I click to see more details they all say “No Data is available” I have now does this for the third time???? Any ideas or suggestion you might have why this

JMXMP protocol available to JMX monitor?
Hello, we want to monitor our CMS system (CoreMedia) with the JMX monitor. Our external consultant told me that the JMX monitor should support the JMXMP protocoll but it seems that he doesn´t. Windows explorer crash on Applications Manager installation server
Kind Sirs, we found that if we launch MS Internet Explorer using "Start Web Client" from the Windows Tray Icon, then if we try opening "My Computer" or any other call of explorer.exe, then explorer.exe crashes. Workaround: if you shut down the IE just launched by Applications Manager, then explorer.exe does not crash anymore. Hope you can fix this problem with the given indications. Best regards

Hi, I have any question about monitoring MSSQL Database. In my corporation, Some can be monitored by AppManager but some always showed health as resource down even that MSSQL had still worked properly. I can ping and telnet port 1433 successfully. Problem with fresh install of appmanager 9
We have just installed a fresh copy of appmanager 9 initially without using our license key and as a trial. 3 databases still in system and reported being down after parent server deleted.
Hello all i have three orphaned databases in our system abandoned after the server was deleted from the monitor. Any reason why these databases might be left behind? Also any reason why they are being shown as down when they are up? All help appreciated Jamez Emanuellistien

Hi I am using APM to manage my Manage Server in weblogic. There are two clusters and applications are deployed on the clusters by virtual host. When I add the Manage server to APM it does not show any of the deployed software. How can I monitor the web applications?
Windows Server monitor - SNMP mode -Process are not listed
Hi, We are trying to configure windows server monitor - through SNMP mode. We get the results for CPU, Memory, Disk utilizations correctly. But when we try to configure individual process we get the result that the "system is down." . Since i am new to application manger i could not find out the reason for this issue. Scheduled reports
I am using the 30 day free trial before purchasing and when I try to create a scheduled report it is not saved. In other words when I create it and click save and when I go to the Scheduled Reports page is says "No Schedule created. Click here to create Schedule." Please help. Dan

Linux monitoring through SSH
I have just started to create Red Hat Enterprise Linux monitors with SSH. I have noticed that on one of my servers that it works great. However on another server it will not pull out any information for System Load or disk Utilization, and this so happens to be what we actually want to monitor on the server. Any Ideas. Thanks, John

Does AppManager support Secure Telnet using SSL?
I have an AIX (5.2) server I want to monitor. The application running on it is configured to accept secure Telnet connections only. Standard TELNET is disabled, and SSH is not currently an option. The AIX monitor only has these two options. Can I use Secure Telnet some other way? Thanks
Missed alerts
Hello, We are running Applications Manager (Build No:7102). The other day I had one of our production application servers go un-responsive for 20 minutes. Appmanager should have alerted us when it detected no response from the server. However we didnt receive the alert notification for 20 minutes. Normally, Appmanager detects faults and send out alerts and executes any recovery scripts just fine. What would cause the 20 minute delay in sending out alerts? Email queue was NOT backed up in our system.

I tried to set up a file monitor using the File/Directory monitor. It doesn't seem to work. All it tells me is that the resource is down, but it isn't. There is a file there. It just can't reach it. this is a remote server. I put in the userid/passwork and ssh. How can I debug an error like this. The file is there. Is there any more detailed documentation besides the User Guide?

Granular reporting
Hi there, I would like to get some more granular reports out of App Manager than the hourly reports that are currently available. In particular, I have configured an attribute of a JBoss monitor to capture the number of active sessions every 5 minutes. I would like to be able to report on this attribute in such a way that I can see how the number of active sessions increased or decreased over say a 2 hour period. Simply having an hourly average is not very helpful when we are doing load testing
Script monitor just stopped working
I have configured a simple Script Monitor which was working perfectly for weeks. It executes a batch file (which does nothing - it is called doNothing.bat). Then it reads the contents of a log file and reads a numeric value. It has been working fine for a while now, polling every 10 minutes, 24/7. WMI Access
Hi, when I tried to configure a windows monitoring by WMI AppManager return an error with this message Kindly check whether the RPC Server is running in the System.Also check whether the selected OS Type is correct. Refer Troubleshooting for more reasons and solutions for them. The RPC and WMI services is running, if I try to connect via telnet from the server where run AppMananger to the server that I want to monitor (port 445 for WMI and port 135 for RPC) I heaven't any problem. Any suggestion?
