Sending SMS verification for password resets?
We're using ADSelf Service Plus for password resets, unlocks, etc.. We would like to enable the SMS verification feature for password resets, but under the settings it only has an option for having a physical modem attached. Is this the only way to enable SMS? The last post I saw on this was nearly 2 years old, was hoping that had changed. Our server running Self Service Plus is a virtual machine, is there any way to enable it to send SMS verifications? Any guidance would be much appreciated.
problem pushing msi to client using Gina
I think my admin priveledges aren't correct. Im trying to install the msi on the client using GINA, but get random errors. I troubleshooted it down using the help documentation. However, it uses the word "admin" and doesn't explain if its the "local admin", the "DC admin", or the "adselfservice admin". Help

Pull security questions and answers directly from AD
Is there a way to pull the answers for the security questions directly from AD? What I would like to do is to have all users enrolled by default. The security questions would "what is your employee number?" what is your job title?" etc. Then questions would be the same for each user. Those questions would be mapped to a specific field in active directory. Obviously we wouldn't use the active directory update feature if this could happen.
Custom LDAP attributes
Can someone explain to me how to add custom attributes in the customize self update layout portion, I need my users to enter in any what equipment they have and the serial #'s. How can I add that field?
"Application has not been installed properly"
Running ADSSP as a service on 2008 R2. The client is being pushed out by GPO and each client PC has the option to Reset/Unlock as expected. When I try to self-enroll from a client PC (XP and Windows 7), I get an "Application has not been installed properly" error followed by an ADSSP Client window with a "Loading" graphic. Also, if I try to install the client from the ADSSP console I get a "Couldn't start remote service" error. Thanks, zp.

We host all our tools behind an Apache reverse proxy with one SSL hostname. With ManageEngine tools, all we seem to get in this setup is the following message: "Sorry, the page you requested was not found." Anyone else get these apps working successfully behind a reverse proxy?
How can my app detect if user is enrolled? Is there an API for ADSelfService Plus?
I have a web app where I need to detect if the current user has already enrolled in the self-service app powered by ADSelfService. What's the best way I can go about checking this from my web app? Ideally, I'd like to add an HTML widget or call the API via JavaScript. Is that possible? If not, how do I access the raw database to query it directly?
ADSelfService remote reset options in upcoming releases?
Are there any plans to add additional reset options such as a emailed or SMS message with a link to click on, instead of the challenge questions that are in the product today? Many systems have gone to this. Thanks,
Remote Access of AD Self Service Plus
Most of our staff are remote and require VPN connectivity to access our network, and that is how they change their password today and reset it. I am looking for a solution that would allow remote employees to be able to reset their passwords without being on our network. Can this be done with AD Self Service Plus or does it require they are on the corp. network. thanks Charles

User Updates password but keeps receiving STEP notification
I've verified that the user successfully changed their password and is using their new password to authenticate in AD, but they continue to receive STEP notifications each day that their password is expiring. Ive updated to the latest version and it still does it. Any ideas?
AD Self-Service Plus Users can register questions, but cannot change them later on
When a user registers on the system, he/she is able to select the questions wanted to be used to later be challanged with. The problem is: how to replace these questions with new ones? Seems like when a person logs on, after having registered, all they get to update is AD information (Self-Uddate), change the AD Password, and sign out. What is wrong and where are the settings that will allow me to change/modify this so users can change their current registered questions. Thanks Bolivar

Hi all, I was curious if there was a way to customize the ADSelfService installer so that it replaces the banner at the top of the Windows XP Winlogon screen, aka , with an image we specify. I've been able to customize all of the settings and whatnot that we want other than that, but can't find any image files or anything like that inside the MSI that could theoretically be replaced.

Changed Password Policy on SBS Server but ADSelfService still shows old Policy
I changed the domain policy to allow the user password to be changed in 0 days rather than 2 days but ADSelfService still shows minimum age of 2 days. Why is it not updating after stopping and starting the service? I also did a gpupdate /force after making the policy change in Group Policy manager and then stopped and started the service for ADSelfService.
Customize "look and feel" of pages in AD SelfService Plus
We would like to have our institutional look and feel applied to all of the Self Service Plus pages. So far I have been unable to successfully make this happen. We would like our custom header and footer (sa well as color scheme) applied to every page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Changed Domain Policy to only use one OU, but users from other OUs are showing up in reports
I've changed our Policy Configuration to select only one OU. However, when I run the 'non-enrolled users' report, it lists users that are NOT in the selected OU. (We have an OU for 'real' users, which I want to be able to use ADSS, and an OU for internal, back-end "system" accounts, which I do NOT want to be able to use ADSS, since those are for other computers, not people.) How can I tell it to only look at one OU? Thanks, Karl

Instead of picking only OU's, can I select or decline certain users from using the tool? All of our users are in one giant OU, and there are some I would like to exclude.
ADSelfService: trying to send any email generates "Invalid Email-ID" message.
What IS and "Email-ID"? Why do I get this error? I've tried sending a test email from the configuration screens, as well as sending out enrollment notification emails, and I get this error on every attempt.
Disabled User - Are they automatically added to the Restricted Users list?
A user account was temporarily disabled, since the user was on leave for a few months. It appears the user account was then automatically added to the Restricted Users list. I do not recall enabling such a setting. Is there a way to modify this setting? The user must enroll again, when this happens. Would someone explain this behavior? Thanks in advance
Display issues with employee search
I still have display issues with self service plus when doing an employee search (and subsequent result sets). Custom attributes - I have created a custom attribute " extensionAttribute3" and given it a name of Salutation. It updates properly through SelfService and can be seen in AD (through ADManager Plus) However creating a search (through employee search) with the field "Salutation" which is in the pick list does not display anything - as if the field is blank. Hi, Is there a way to remove the Employee Search from the front page? I am planning on hosting ADSelfService Plus in our DMZ with access from the internet to allow our VPN users to use it. I don't want a search tool available on it when it is visible to the general public.

Only one user cannot login
Hello, I just have one user that cannot login to the portal. I have reset her password, completely uninstalled ADSS and reinstalled clean.

I'm doing some testing to try the Password Reset part of the ADSelfService, I've installed it - configured it for our domain, selected a Workstation, done a Gina/CP Install for the PC which it said it worked on, but when I rebooted the PC I don't see anything on the login screen for forgotten/resetting passwords. Does this work on Windows 7? Thanks
iPSCA CERTS?
Hi, I have purchased an SSL Cert from iPSCA and ADSelfService only gives the import commands for a few online CA's - verisign, Go-Daddy and Comodo. Could somebody supply the commands for iPSCA certs? Cheers
