Users with Hyphenated last names
Is there a way to create a customized logon name for a user with a hyphenated lat name? For instance, I want to use a First Initial and the Last Name unless the last name is hyphenated. In cases where the last name is hyphenated, i want to use First Initial and the 2nd half of the last name. (i.e. Joe Smith-West would have a login name of jwest) Is this possible yet? If not, i would love to have that kind of customization available. Thanks, Jay

I see there is a new 64bit version of AD Man Plus. I would really like to use the 64bit version...how do I convert my backed from the 32 bit version to be able to import it to the 64 bit version.

AD Manager Plus ver 5 cant display on explorer using IE9
AD Manger Plus has stopped displaying. at the status bar it shows that it is running but it can not display, i do not get even the prompt for login! i am using IE9. please assist solution to this problem.
Users with password about to expire report. Option to email
I would like to see the ability to email users that have passwords that are about to expire. This would add great value to your product. I have many remote users that never know that their password is going to expire until it is too late.Windows will only notify you your password is going to expire if you log on to the domain. Remote users log into via VPN and do not see the reminders, then they get locked out of our domain. I use your product to generate a list of users that are about to expire

Disable some points
I've got a special scenaro, where we would like a customer to edit his AD informations with the AD Manager Plus. The problem; they have access to the Exchange tasks, Terminal Service etc. Is it possible to disable some actions for a specific user? In the end, the customer should only can create, delete users, modify the passwords and information (Office, Telephone...) Is there a way i've missed in the GUI? I appreiate your help Alain

ADManager Plus V5.5 authentication problem
Champs, we've upgraded from V4 to V5.5 successfully but unfortunately after upgrade we are not able to start ADmanager because of authentication problem. we are trying to authenticate with the default admin account PW is default "admin". we are getting "No such account configured for the user" and when i tried to authenticate using my domain admin account we are getting "Your account is not configured as a helpdesk Technician" your support is highly appreciated Regards, Nahtawy
Create User: Customising available fields/interface for Helpdesk Users
Hi All, Is there any way to reduce the number of fields in the Create User interface for HelpDesk users? We only use a small subset and I would prefer the HelpDesk users only see what fields they need to use when creating a user, it would simplify their day to day work significantly and reduce errors. How to delete inactive computers using ADManager Plus
Hi, I am currently in the trial offer for ADManager Plus, and I am trying to mass delete inactive computers in Active directory. I used the ADManager Plus report generator to generate a list of computers that's been inactive for than 120 days. The list is in the following format: Computer Name Bob computer Ann computer I exported the .csv file and when I tried to import the file for deleting, it gives me the following error: "The following attribute(s) Bob Computer in the header is/are not authorized
Restricting user access
My company is interested in purchasing a license for ADManager Plus. However, we need to know if it will be possible to restrict user access to certain parts of the application. For example, we'd like for a given user to be able to set up and disable email forwarding, unblock users, and not much else. The intention for this is to prevent confusion and simplify the procedure. Is this possible? What license would that require? Thanks! Sunil
Accounts and Wifi
Accounts we create don't work on on wireless network (3com wx2200). The problem only arises with wifi, users can logon to domain pcs, connect to shares and printers without any problems. Only when they try to connect to wifi (using their AD account) do we see a problem. A workaround is to delete the account and recreate it manualy using Wndows Active directory. Not feasble for hundreds of accounts. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so would be helpful to hear what fixed it. Thanks Paul

It would be better for proactive measures that for a number of unsuccessful logins which can be defined within the application, a technician get's notified through email or SMS.
Contact Management
Hi It would be good if I could manage/create (and delegate) contacts without the need for CSV files. This would be great for Assistants to manage contact lists. Also their is no ability (that I can find) to add Contacts to a Distribution Group - it only appears to be users available ot add to a group. - This to would be a very good feature to have. General Attributes vs Custom Attributes
Our Intranet has a page where users can update their own details using AD Self Service. I want to add the field ASSISTANT to the page. This is fine except that, as I cannot add this as a general attribute, it must be added as a custom attribute. This means I cannot get it to do a lookup for a valid entry for this field. (I need it to function somewhat like the MANAGER field) Can someone advise how I can get a custom attribute to do a lookup, or how I can add ASSISTANT as a general attribute?

LDAP otherPager never updates correct field in AD
We have a custom form for users to update their details on our Intranet. The General Attribute is Extension, which is linked to the custom attribute which calls otherPager as the LDAP name. When this is updated, it updates the Pager attribute rather than the otherPager attribute. Any ideas why this would occur?
How to filter real last login report to a specific timeline?
Hello, support. I need to run a real last login report to show the login count for a specific time range. The default real last login report does not seem to have to option to specify a time range ( ie. 1/2011-7/2011) Is there a way to make that option available? Thanks.
Report generation and sub-OUs
Hello, when I generate report to just find all the accounts in an OU, but without ticking any of the sub-OUs, it still includes all the accounts in the sub-OUs. The process is Ad Reports --> User Reports --> All users then I choose the specific OUs to report from. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? Thanks for any help.
Missing Group
I was on a DC and used the AD Users created a Group named XenShare and added users. Now I am trying to modify that group from ADManager and it cannot be found. I feel like a dolt; what am I missing? (Besides a brain. LOL) Jimme
Moving Home Drives with AD manager plus
Hi, i have been using AD manager plus recently to move users home drives to our new storage solution. If i move just one or two at a time all works very well. If however i import 100 plus users and move their home drives when i come i the next day AD manager plus web page shows as page can not be displayed. I refresh the page and get an unhandled exception error, when i then look at which drives have been moved i can see that bnot all drives have moved. As the page is no longer showing i am not able

Update list of Exchange 2007 Stores
I'm trying to make bulk changes to the users, making them MailBox enabled, but it does not see the correct Mailbox stores. The stores that it lists used to be there, but they have now changed. For example, there used to be a store that was A-F, but we made 3 other stores, A-B, C, D-F, and split the mailboxes up among the new stores and then deleted the A-F store. However, AD Mgr Plus still lists the A-F store, not the new stores.

creating an exchange 2010 mailbox, with EmailAddressPolicy enabled
When creating an user with ADManager the Email-Address-Policy shall be used. It is used, but not correctly. Our adresses should look like: "%givenName%.%sn%@domain.com", but using the Bulk-User Creation the addresses on our exchange are assigned without the dot "%givenName%%sn%@domain.com". At the moment we have to turn the "EmailAddressPolicyEnabled" flag for every new user off an on again to get the right mailaddresses. Using the single-User creation everything works fine. I recently attempted to change my password from the simple dictionary password originally given to me, to a real secure password. Only to be told 13 characters max?!? Really? 13 MAX?! When using the Bulk-Creation option. The end report shows just 4 columns: Username, Logon Name, Password and Status. Is there a way to get more information onto this? for example mailaddress and/or expiring date.
