We are currently evaluating ADManager Plus for user creation. We have several extended user attributes in AD that we have added to ADManager Plus. These are text (CHAR) fields and binary (true/false). We have added the attributes as Custom Attributes in ADManager and they show up on the Modify User screen. We can modify the text entries without problems.
BUT - the binary entries, which show up on the Custom Attributes list as text fields, will not take anything that we enter. We have tried entering 1 or 0, "true" or "false." But when we click "Update User" we always get the error "
Error Code - 8007200b :
Setting Values for Custom Attributes : Error In Setting Attributes, The attribute syntax specified to the directory service is invalid."
However,
if we modify the data in ADSIEdit we can see the change in ADManager (as a 1 or 0). But we can't change it without the above error.
In addition to the above, this field really should show as binary (true/false) on the Custom Attributes tab, not as a text entry.
This is critical to our purchasing of the product, so a timely answer would be appreciated.
Thanks!
