How do I control the page-length when printing reports
Hi When I generate a report in AD-manager I would like to print in A4-format. How do I change the page-length, so I can do that ? /Laurids
Multiple tray icons
Sometimes when I do a remote desktop to the server where ADManager is installed, I see multiple copies of the tray icon and the admin console is loaded. I thought maybe it was crashing and restarting itself, but I don't see any evidence of that in the event viewer. When I move my mouse over the tray icons, all of them except one disappear. We have been having problems with this server temporarily losing its connection to the network. Could that be causing ADManager to restart or reconnect?
GPO Reports in ADManager Plus
Hi All, I would like to understand the GPO feature in ADManager Plus. If i want to extract the GPO information from DC, what sort of information it captured, as i can figured out with screenshot provided in the website, it only captured the policy type applied on User / Computer. Exchange 2007 and 2010 coexistence within ADM+
I am in the finalizing our Exchange 2010 setup and recently setup a new 64-bit server to run ADM+'s 64-bit version (the 32-bit version would only create legacy mailboxes within Exchange 2010). With this all 64-bit setup, if I go to create an account with an Exchange 2007 mailbox, ADM+ will only create a legacy mailbox. Distinguished name of all members in a universal group
Previously I have run a query that allows me to see all groups and their types (univ, Global etc) and added an extra column of username. When run the query has reported all members in a group and their domain details in [ ] square brackets. Even users who are in the same domain as the tool were reported in Disting format. Check permissions on folders
Hi to everyone It would be great if I could check NTFS permissions ( ACL ) on folders without supplying a user name first. My question always is .... Is it possible in AD manager to remove a mail contact from a distribution list when trying to remove it you can see the real AD accounts but you cannot see the mail contact. However you can see the contact if you do a AD search, but not remove the distribution list
Populate mail attribute from CSV
I'm trying to create users through ADManager by importing a csv. Everything seems to work except for the mail attribute, which remains blank. My template has it set to empty b/c we use an external mail server and the naming convention is not 100% standardized. Any ideas on what to do?

Scheduled User Reports
When logged in with the admin account, I go into the User Reports, All users. I run a report, pick the columns I want to see, validate it looks ok and then run a schedule report. The report then comes out with those particular headers and columns I wanted in the report. However, If I then go through and run some additional ad-hoc user reports and change the column heading, the scheduled report then comes out with the last column headings I were looking at. This has got to be a bug because
ADManager web interface problem
While working in the AD Manager web client interface, it will randomly kick me out back to the user login page. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what (if anything) fixed it for you? Users with Hyphenated last names
Is there a way to create a customized logon name for a user with a hyphenated lat name? For instance, I want to use a First Initial and the Last Name unless the last name is hyphenated. In cases where the last name is hyphenated, i want to use First Initial and the 2nd half of the last name. (i.e. Joe Smith-West would have a login name of jwest) Is this possible yet? Users with password about to expire report. Option to email
I would like to see the ability to email users that have passwords that are about to expire. This would add great value to your product. I have many remote users that never know that their password is going to expire until it is too late.Windows will only notify you your password is going to expire if you log on to the domain. Remote users log into via VPN and do not see the reminders, then they get locked out of our domain. I use your product to generate a list of users that are about to expire

I've got a special scenaro, where we would like a customer to edit his AD informations with the AD Manager Plus. The problem; they have access to the Exchange tasks, Terminal Service etc. Is it possible to disable some actions for a specific user? In the end, the customer should only can create, delete users, modify the passwords and information (Office, Telephone...) Is there a way i've missed in the GUI? I appreiate your help Alain

ADManager Plus V5.5 authentication problem
Champs, we've upgraded from V4 to V5.5 successfully but unfortunately after upgrade we are not able to start ADmanager because of authentication problem. we are trying to authenticate with the default admin account PW is default "admin". we are getting "No such account configured for the user" and when i tried to authenticate using my domain admin account we are getting "Your account is not configured as a helpdesk Technician" your support is highly appreciated Regards, Nahtawy

Hi All, Is there any way to reduce the number of fields in the Create User interface for HelpDesk users? We only use a small subset and I would prefer the HelpDesk users only see what fields they need to use when creating a user, it would simplify their day to day work significantly and reduce errors. I used the ADManager Plus report generator to generate a list of computers that's been inactive for than 120 days. Restricting user access
My company is interested in purchasing a license for ADManager Plus. However, we need to know if it will be possible to restrict user access to certain parts of the application. For example, we'd like for a given user to be able to set up and disable email forwarding, unblock users, and not much else. The intention for this is to prevent confusion and simplify the procedure. Accounts and Wifi
Accounts we create don't work on on wireless network (3com wx2200). The problem only arises with wifi, users can logon to domain pcs, connect to shares and printers without any problems. Only when they try to connect to wifi (using their AD account) do we see a problem. A workaround is to delete the account and recreate it manualy using Wndows Active directory. Not feasble for hundreds of accounts. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so would be helpful to hear what fixed it. Thanks Paul

Hi It would be good if I could manage/create (and delegate) contacts without the need for CSV files. This would be great for Assistants to manage contact lists. Also their is no ability (that I can find) to add Contacts to a Distribution Group - it only appears to be users available ot add to a group. - This to would be a very good feature to have. General Attributes vs Custom Attributes
Our Intranet has a page where users can update their own details using AD Self Service. I want to add the field ASSISTANT to the page. This is fine except that, as I cannot add this as a general attribute, it must be added as a custom attribute. This means I cannot get it to do a lookup for a valid entry for this field. (I need it to function somewhat like the MANAGER field) Can someone advise how I can get a custom attribute to do a lookup, or how I can add ASSISTANT as a general attribute?
