Notification: run program
What we want is a notification with a sound signal, that loops until the problem is solved. To do this I wrote a script that will start a .wav file in media player. When the script is started a second time the script stops looping. With an external USB soundcard we could produce the sound. With high-tech Sound over Ethernet (sound connecter connected to a RJ45 plug) J we managed to get the signal from the server room to our office. custom monitors
Hi, I can´t get the custom monitors to work when I want to divide the output. I would need to modify a system up time -monitor to display days instead of seconds. When I use the add bulk and use a syntax .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3/8640000 the monitor doesn´t reply. Error message "The Monitor did not respond to the test request" comes up.
Error when trying to scan subnets
If I right click on a a subnet under IP Address Manager, I get an error. Its a popup window that says "An error has occured", without any information next to tool name, message, root cause. If I click to create support file, the hour glass goes forever. Also noticed in the logs that the same device gets added and removed everyday.
OpManager losing some daily statistics
Hi, Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I have installed OpManager 8, (build 8051) and setup a complete monitoring system of our hosting centre (this is running on Windows Server 2003, IIS 6.0). Notification and Infrastructure View
I've severals devices under the Category Servers by example. One of them has an interface problem, so the whole 'infrastructure views' show 'Trouble'. I've got the alarm and the notification. That's Ok. Now another device in 'Servers' send a warning ( lower alarm level than Trouble ) alarm; I've got the alarm on OpManager but not the notification ! ( The trouble alarm is not clear ). What can I do to have a notification each time I've got an alarm ?

RemoveDBEntries for opmanager 8052
Good afternoon, We have a problem when we try to remove some devices. All seems ok however when we want to readd them, the systems says that the device is present into the system. We are using the RemoveDBEntries in order to remove completly the records. However from we've updated to 8052 version, we receive an error which is "opmanagerdb.portobject doesn't exist". This table doesn't exist in my database so, how can we do to change the .class file or does anybody know where we can download

[Business view widget] - Ability to click icons
Hi, While looking at a business view, it would be nice if the devices and shortcuts could be clickable (Map/Traffic mode) and reach the clicked device instead of having only the link to load the business view, then being able to click the link, since I already know that device 1 is in trouble, it is the device 1 that I want to see, not the business view, since I already see it :) Raphaël LEMIEUX Edit: Changed the Idea to question since the possibility already exists according to answers.
unable to edit business views
Hi All, We are running version 8051 and are unable to edit Business Views. I have tried using the server side "MapMaker" as well but after the login, it waits on a loading screen with the status "Client Initializing". Problem in Restoring Mysql Configuración
Hi, Coz of my Ongoing problem with my present instalation , i have install new hardware with same hardware and system configuration to install a new opmanager 8025 version. i want to restore only configuración data without any performance data , i have already done backup . now i have tried to restore the data on my newmachine , it says it restore sucessfully without problem but when i try to start opmanager it stops as in the attachment file.. not sure where i went rong...help will be apriciated.

Some trouble on device monitors
I found this problem since Op7, and it still happen in Op8(8050) I always found some monitor stop for no reason. For example, sometimes i check my switch found that one interface have no flow data since 3 days ago, i try to "update status", but nothing happened. Some monitor i can make a test immediately by myself, but i can't do it on interface monitor. If i successfully make a test by myself and get a monitor data, after that the monitor will work again. MySQL bin files
Hi I have large amount of bin files in MySQL data directory C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\OpManager\mysql\data called mysql-bin.0000xx. I have observed that those files started to be created since I have installed the failover system. Due the fact that i've run out of disk space, i was forced to move few of them to other disk, but this is not a solutions. How I stop them being created? What solutions do we have? Turn off alerts to user ports
Hello, Is there a way to turn off monitoring user ports so we don't get alerts when users unplug their laptops? We are using cisco switches and everytime a person logs off or disconnects we get an alert. I really only want to be alerted when the switch or an important device such as a server have issues. OpManager VoIP Monitor with IPSEC
Hello, I'm very new to OpManager and have a question about setting up VoIP monitor with a Cisco 2901 router and a Cisco 881W router. These Cisco devices are connected thru an IPSEC tunnel and am having trobule connecting. I can connect with no problems to 2 other sites that use Cisco 2901's but they are talking thru an MPLS network and not IPSEC tunnels. I have turned on IP SLA repsonder on all devices the same but can't get the IPSEC topology to talk to OpManager (version 8 build 8051).

Hi Support, I am running OPManager 8051 I am having a time problem. My System on which I have install OPManager is having a correct time in PST. but OPManager is showing its time in ACT. Kindly guide me how to change or edit the date and time settings in OPManager. Hi, I've just installed the FREE version of OpManager 8.. In this FREE version, can I set some configuration parameters on the managed devices? Example: Can I set/change the IP address of a router in my network through this software (without being locally in the router place)? How? From which part? Hi, After some more look into business views, I cant use them as I intended to. There is no way to make links between business view shortcuts. The point was to have a map of a Building, with multiple rooms with network equipement. Each room have its own business view, since they contain multiple devices and for the sake of clarity, i dont want to add them to the "building" view. Detailed statistics / Custom Report Time
Hi, We have been looking in options for the Interfaces reports and there is something odd... Even if we keep the detailed statistics for 15 days, when we have a report (Of interface traffic analysis) older than 2 days, the data is not detailed but hourly, how can we have the detailed data shown in a report ? (we take only 24 hours by report and the data is still scaled down). Second question, How is the data archived ? Is it one point in the whole hour or an average ? Is there a way to keep the peaks

[Business view editor] - User interface Display name instead of Description
Hi, Setting up a few business view I stumbled on a "Wish it was different" behavior, its not a problem as it may be by design, but when creating a link between 2 devices, the drop list shows the Port Description, wich is not configurable and somewheat generic. It would be nice to have instead, or at least have a way, to use the Display name in this drop-down list. I think it would be easier to work with names.
