Windows patch scan on every reboot

Windows patch scan on every reboot

Hi,

I would very much like to be able to have my windows systems do a patch scan on every reboot. This is because most of my users have admin rights on their systems, so software installation/updating is not done only by desktop central. At the moment, it is often the case that (for example) DC will have patch scanned the system at 07:00 and be showing a list of applicable patches, but the system will have been restarted at 10:00 and the patches installed then.

If I could have the DC agent do a patch scan following every reboot, I would very quickly get a much more up to date picture of my estate's patch status.

Is it possible to invoke a patch scan from the command line? If so I can create a configuration to run the required command one very boot.

Many thanks!
