When adding a times entry I get the following screen appear: (see attachment)
Interface moved
After upgraded to 5.5, the right hand side panel is moved to the top of the page. Anyone experience the same issue?
XP Firewall inventory issues
Is there a port I could open to allow SDP to inventory my Win XP SP2 machines without disabling the firewall? I would rather use Group Policy to allow the Help Desk to go in through an open port rather than having to disable the Windows XP firewall to do an inventory scan. Thanks for any help. SC
Automatic Workstation Owner Update
Hi, Would it be possible for you to build a process into the system where the workstation owner field (or perhaps a new field against the workstation??) to be automatically populated when a domain scan is performed? I notice that this already exists in the back end database but it is not shown in the front-end. This would be most handy for us as some departments in our business regularly change desks/PCs and it takes a lot of administration to manually update the workstation owner field. Any thoughts

business rule query
I have setup a business rule to change the priority when a certain criteria is met and it is not working :-( When a call is logged against a certain category and assigned a certain level, I want service desk to change it to a different level. Basically in our terms, when a call is logged as an Incident (Level) and then assigned to Service Request - No SLA (Priority) , I want service desk to change the Priority to another Priority called Sev3. Service desk will just not do it, even though the criteria
Mysql server doesn't start
I am working with the free version of the ServiceDesk Plus. But since 2 PM today I can't run the service desk Plus software. A request for service desk : Assigning Assets to Department
Hi, in our company we have departments out through various locations that have the same name. So when we want to assign an asset (such as Netscreen/ or a switch) we want to assign it to a department not a certain user for obvious reasons. However, when you have departments with the same name you have no idea where the asset belong to. Rename or remove the "Personalize" link in the use
We've had customers complain that the "Personalize" link at the top of the SD+ screen is confusing. You can't really personalize anything except your password, and I'm not sure why we'd want them to do that, except to change a password that a technician set for them upon setup of their account in SD+. Can you remove that, or rename it to say "Password change" or simply "Password"? Justin
No visible way to change languages!
Hi there. This is the n-th time I install the free version of SDP. I've eliminated all the c:\adventnet\... folders before installing it once again. I am working with an English Windows 2003 Server as a host, and the fresh download installed a 5010 version, no patches needed. Well, in the "Personalize" menu, there is no option to change the Display Language! And except for the welcome screen, that obeys the selected language in the browser, the rest of the screens are in plain English... Tried to

What exactly do the last two digits in the time mean?
The time is recorded as a 12 digit number in SD+. The first 10 digits represent the epoch time (# of seconds from Jan 1, 1970). What do the last two digits represent? Justin

History and repeals of PO process actions
I'd like to suggest that a history be kept for PO actions (approval, who edited it, etc). But we need a way to "undo" an accidental denial of a PO, when it was intended to be an approval. Justin

The new reporting module is a great improvement on the previous version, but you still cannot select any field you want in the 'Custom Report' area. I want to create reports that can (if required) give details of the support call and resolution notes. There is no option to include these fields. Can you please give the option to have any field please. thanks PEter

We're having some trouble getting Opmanage to generate tickets for Servicedesk. Is there a document somewhere that details how to do this? It appears to be set up correctly, but tickets will not generate.
Custom reports needed for contracts and purchase orders
There's a need to have modules for custom reports on contracts and purchase orders so that we can get an idea of what kind of expenses are coming up in the next 1 month, 3 mos, 6 mos, 1 year. I know there's been prior reports saying that we want reports that go out further than a few days or weeks, but apparently this is slightly different, with the desire to have custom reports implemented, not just notifications of upcoming expirations, etc. We'd want to see dates, contract title, cost, sorted,
Customising the request portal
Hi guys. Is it possible to customise what the user sees on the way "in"? We do not want them to see the workstation field in SD+ as they a) don't know the answer and b) then pick what they think is the answer. In most cases we have not logged their workstation and in other cases they are calling us about equipment that is other than PC - i.e. a telecomms issue. It would be good to be able to stop them seeing the workstation field. Thanks.
Is there a way to have users see Request#'s by default?
With notifications going back and forth, it's sometimes helpful for techs and users to be able to see the request #'s by default. Is there a way to set it up so that all users will have the request ID's shown by default in their list of requests? As it is, I have to document how to add this, and some of the users are not well versed in following complex instructions. Justin

IS there any way to get back a request if it is accidentally deleted?? I don't want to restore an old version of the database because it will be too old......

User home screen search on right side generates errors
A customer tried to use the big search box on the right hand side of the requester home page to search for something, and no matter what she put in, she got an error message. Error: Object expected Code: 0 URL: http://tasc/HomePage.do It's not seen when you use the left side search. Sometimes errors would pop up and then take you to the results. Justin
Articles not seen unless you log in
From the main forum, you cannot select the articles and see them until after you've logged in. Is this an intended method of operation? I'm using firefox. This was working fine a week or so ago, but it seems to have been locked down again. Justin

In the requests entry box, there's a priority entry pull down menu. The problem is that "Select Priority" shows up as an option, when it should only have the selections we want them to see. The Location pull down menu doesn't work either. Justin
