MS SQL -- Time Format Change
Anyone know how I can change the format of my time from HH:MM:SS to h:mm:ss? Also, my date format is day\month\year, I would like to make it Month\Day\year. I am running MS SQL. Any help is appreciated.
Active Directory and Import
When I try and import requesters from Active Directory, it errors on all the entry's.. Any reason why this would be.. I was able to scan the domain for workstations just fine.
Error on Page
Hi guys, After upgrading to the latest Service Pack, I have been experiencing an error on page, when viewing some requests. This is a problem because it intermiantly will not allow me to enter a resolution. When I click enter resolution nothing happens. Can you guys help? Cheers George
SD+6 Trial: Unable to add a queue
Hi, This software seems to do a lot of things but when I try to add a queue, it doesn't do anything... Error on page. Am I the only one to have this problem? How to fix it? Thanks, Bob
SDP6 Time Entry Description character limit
When we add a Time Entry our text in the description field is getting cut off after about 4 lines. We can keep typing into the description field, but when we click "save" the text after line 4 is gone. This is a big problem as we are very detailed in our billing. Please Help.
Several Issues with SD6 upgrade
First off when we add new notes to requests the note window doesn't close after clicking add note. I tried clearing my temp files and cookies and setting it to refresh page on every load and it worked once, then back to not closing. We get an error in the bottom left corner that says error on page. I have a request that doesn't let me enter a resolution. Nothing happens when I click on either the resolution tab or go to the actions tab.
Missing data since SQL migration and upgrade to version 6
Missing resolutions, notes and time spent information since SQL upgrade/migration and upgrading to ServiceDesk 6.0 Tickets placed after the upgrade are fine, just the ones prior to upgrading to version 6 and migrating over to the SQL database backend.
SDP6 - Keep Me Signed In doesn't work
I just upgraded our SDP 5.500 install to the new v6 and noticed that the "Keep Me Signed In" feature doesn't work. If I enter my login info, check the "Keep Me Signed In" box, login and then close the browser I will have to re-enter my login info when I go back to SDP. The old 5.500 version had the "Remember me" checkbox that actually saved the login info and then the users just had to click on Login. Now they have to keep logging in over and over. ????
Report table linking problem
Hi, I've created some crystal reports from the SD+ (5507) database previously but now I want one showing workstation specs and department and location. I have so far been unable to get the links and the table relations that I've found have not helped. I want to show details from "systeminfo" such as make/model, proc.speed, etc. and group it by department. Most workstations are assigned to a individual user but some are shared machines assigned to a department. I need to be able to resolve each workstation's
SD+6 Does not start correctly on system reboot
I am having a problem that if the computer running the SD+6 server gets rebooted, it does not restart the services correctly on a reboot, it thinks they are running but there is no Web access - Page not found error. To fix it I have to manually go in and do a Stop Service Desk Plus server, then after it stops Do a Sart Serive desk plus, then after about 2-3 min its working again as expected. I would like to see why it wont start on a system startup, after I get it started I can log off the server
Upgrade to SD6 unsuccessful
I have attempted to upgrade to the new version twice. Luckily I run this on a virtual server so I was able to go back to my old copy. First time I could get in but was getting disconnected. I tried a second time and cannot even get to the SD login screen. Appears that the java.exe process opened hundreds of connections to itself. Will not connect to SD. Need help.
Priority by assets?
Hi, is there a way to set a priority directly from an equipment? Or at least to have SLA criteria based on an asset? Thanks!
Disappearing Sub-Categories
I am running SD+ V6 using MS SQL Server. I have had a weird thing happen; while I was adding Categories, Sub-Categories and Items, I had a whole Sub-Category branch disappear, including it's child Items. I looked in the data table to see if it had become orphaned, but it and it's Items are no longer in the table either. I cannot tell you exactly what I had done to cause this, but I was basically adding and renaming a few Sub-Categories and Items.
Any way to make Time Entried Visible to end users?
If possible I would like to make time entried visible to the end user. Is that possible or can I request that as a feature for antother release?
SD+ 6 category problem
5507 allowed to assign technician for category and sub-categories. For SD6 I see a possibility to asign technician for category only. Not for sub-categories and items. Why this feature is missing?

SDP6 Self-Service Portal password strenght
Is there a way to strengthen the default password sent to Self-Service Portal Requestors, currently it uses their e-mail address as their default password. I realize I can manually change the passwords, but this is easy to overlook when new requestors sign up.
SDP6 Business Rules are not working
I have a new installation (not an upgrade) of SDP6 running on MySQL. The Business rules are not working. I've tried creating several different rules with different criteria and actions, but none of them work.
Limit on Categories, Sub Categories, Items?
Is there a limit on how many Categories, Sub Categories & Items we can enter? I need to enter over 100 subcategories for 1 particular category and it stops at a 100. Is there a reason for that? How can I modify that? Thanks.

problem running reports SD+ 6
hi i have just upgraded from 5.5 to version 6 and i am no longer able to run reports when i go to the report section and click on a report to run it, it says no data available when i modify the report and go thru all the steps basically when i click on run report nothing at all happens, this is quite irritating as i use the report function a lot has anyone else had this issue and or knows of a solution? thanks

Here's a stupid question for everyone. The install guide references a web server. I take it if I'm using Windows I need to install IIS? Is that what everyone else is using? I have no experience with IIS so don't mind all my stupid questions. :oops:

hi i have created a test box with the current version of service desk to match the live install, i have also created a backup of the database and copied this across to, all working fine, the problem i have is when i install SD+6 it uninstall my old version and installs which is ok, but the the problem it is removes all the existing mysql data, so after sd+6 is installed none of the data is there, i have tryed to restore the back but it wont allow it. can anyone shed any light please, thanks

Multi-Homed Server with SD+ 6
With prior versions of SD+, I was able to install on a secondary IP on a multi-homed server by editing sample-bindings.xml and TrayIconInfo.xml. V6 Inventory > Workstation View Problem
In V6 there seems to be an error in the "Assign" column. If the Workstation is assigned to an individual it only shows the "?" instead of the person symbol that it had before the upgrade. The workstation is assigned to someone, it's just not reflected as such in the workstation view. If I filter on "Unassigned" or on a specific individual then this works fine. Is this a problem anyone else has and how do I fix it? Thanks.. Greg
remove 'dont show login details again'
chaps just getting ready to roll out the new version 6 and while testing i notice on the login page the 'dont show login details again' option is there but i cant remove the details. Nothing happens when i click the link. This is now stalling my roll out as i cant have these details showing. Any advice would be great :-) In the mean time ill try another install and see if that makes any difference Ojo
Merged Requests
Hi, I made a custom report in Crystal Reports to view all the tickets that are created by our department or which tickets still are open. When I run the report I see a few more requests than I see in ServiceDesk. After doing some research on this issue I saw the difference. In my report I also see the tickets that are merged with another ticket. The merged tickets are shown as individual tickets. When I do a search on one of these tickets I can't find them in ServiceDesk because these tickets are

Category/Sub-Category/Item feature
Can you provide some more information on how the Category/Sub-Category/Item feature is implemented in SD+ version 6.0? In SD+ version 5, sub-categories are really just like additional categories with indented names and bullets in front of them. They are not uniquely related to their parent category. In SD+ version 6.0 are the sub-categories uniquely related back to their parent category and the items uniquely related back to their parent sub-category? Need an export of the Scanned Software list
I have been searching the support forum on how to get a list of all scanned software from the inventory in a file. I have seen older postings that say that there is an inventory report of this list, but I do not have that option in our installation. We are currently running SD+ ver. 5.5. Has to be the worst upgrade ever
Was release 6 EVER tested before releasing it to the public!? since my pages are all in https, i click on things and they say you are entering a non-secure / secure site!!! jesus christ, also the option to have everyone login to a certain domain is gone. they now have to choose local or the domain. i have to get rid of this.

Built-in reports work fine, Refine Search works too. But I can't edit reports or create new one. SDP6 Trial version administrator account
I can't change the password, phone number, and other settings of the administrator account. Will I be able to change these items once I purchase the Pro edition? I have two technicians, will one of them be required to login as "administrator" if I only purchase a 2 user license? Thanks,
