7505 Request Templates Broken
Since installing patch 7505 we can not edit existing or create new request templates. Both the header and field list blocks are missing from the screen, with only the canvas block visible. I can't uninstall the patch (as that feature, although visble in the Update Manager, is no longer available) and I can't restore the backup as it is now for the wrong build. We need this fixed urgently.
Open Requests Create new Requests Every month
I have 4 open requests for an ongoing project. Every 1st of the month these requests re-create themselves. it has happened the last 2 months. So now i have a total of 12 requests open for the same project. I've looked around and cannot see what is governing this. Has anyone had this issue? Support, help please. Thanks
Workstations scan problems
I'm using SDP 7505 and the Domain Workstation Scan shows that scanned all my workstation domain computers, but, when I go to the Scan Summary page, I can see only a few of them. If I create a workstation manually, and after execute a scan, it shows perfect. Any ideia ? Tks, Julio
Problem with closing workorders before last hotfix 7505
At the moment i've experiencing a problem with closing completed workorders. The new ones (created before hotfix 7505) can be closed. The older ones remain open. Please check
Removed all admin by accident
While customizing the self service portal I removed Local Login and the ability for users to edit there details. Now I can't login as an admin :( When I try local login it tells me domain does not exisit. When i login as a windows users who is an SDAdmin the admin tab is missing :( pls help as I dont want ot spent severla hours setting up the whole thing. BTW is running on SQL so I can edit the database if needed.
new users no email address
Hi We are running atm a sd+ 7022 in production. We have our domain sync to it and we updateded our exchange server from 2003 to 2007. Now the funny thing is when a new user that has been made through the exchange 2007 console with a email makes a ticket in sp+ and a tech answers the tech can't because there is no email to reply to. why is this not working ? we are running our database on a windows 2003 bit 64 Ms Sql 2005 Christophe Fettouhi
7505 Bug List
SD-14185 � Description field cannot be made as mandatory field in request template. When using IE6, I can no longer set the subject as mandatory, although the description field is working correctly. When using IE7, neither the subject nor the description can be set as mandatory. The "edit field properties" option is not appearing. (Image attached)
Closing rules failing after 7505 update
My closing rules are starting to fail after the new patch - they will work for a while, but then later in the day, a tech can close a call without Cat/SubCat/Item information. Has anyone else seen this? If I restart service desk it starts working again.... Thanks. Al
Error with updating the version
Hello, I can not complete the process of updating the version: AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_7_0_0_SP-0_22_1.ppm for AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_7_0_0_SP-3_0_0.ppm. The error occurred between 98% and 99% and it automatically unistall this update, before that error ServiceDesk don�t start. My server is: Windows 2003 Server + Sql2005 + ServiceDesk Professional
Notify when task is closed
Hi, I turned on notify when a Task is closed. Now when a task linked to a Request is closed. i receive an email. but.....when i close a task linked to a change i don't get a message!!!!! How can i turn this on? Regards, Jeroen
Business Rule did not work
Hello, i try to create Business rules to assign call to Technician or Group if a text appears in the subject. It worked till version 7.0. But now with 7.5 (7004) it never works - even if the call comes per mail or if i create it as webcall. No servers in Assets tab?
How can I list all servers in Assets tab? Now I have to go to Home tab and then select Assets and in All my Assets I can see servers count and when I click on it I can see servers list. But after I delete any server list shows me only workstations, so I have to go to Home tab and go on.
Contract Notifications
Is there a way to globally change the contract notifications for all contract expirations? The person originally receiving notification has left the company so we need to re-assign them to someone else. I hope to avoid doing each one individually.
service desk wont authenticate after migrating to new server
Hi all, i have just migrated my SD from one server to another and restored the database using the utility, but now SD will not authenticate and keeps on saying wrong password. can anyone help me with this? regards
Unable to scan workstations after MS kb967715 and kb91118
After applying Microsoft updates kb967715 and kb91118 we can not longer scan workstations. If we uninstall the updates from a workstation the scan works fine. Anyone else seen this and if so is there a fix?
Uninstalled software still showing as installed
I am having an issue with the software scanning tool. I myself have uninstalled the software from these machines and it is showing in the "Audit History Trail" but when I search the software it is still there as being installed on that workstation. Do I need to unallocate the licence from the machine aswell?
Scheduling an Asset Scan
When an asset scan is scheduled in an AD environment does the scan allow me to select OU's or does it scan the entire domain? I want to be really sure before an automated scan is clicked. I usually invoke a scan manually via domain scan and select the appropriate OU's. Joe

SDP reclassifying workstations as servers
Hi on Build 7503. Some assets are failing to get reclassified as servers. The new resource categories include 'servers' but I am having difficulty moving 'servers' from the old default to the new 'server' catagory. Can anyone explain how to do this. I have set Model 'Dell Poweredge 860' as server. selected the asset and clicked action ' change as server/s' but the asset remains in 'workstations' after refresh. philw
Viewing calls you shouldn't
I have the group security set up in SD+ so that groups can only see what is in their group or assigned to them (ie, not everything). However, if you send a link to a call, anyone can see it, even if it is not in their group. Does anyone know how to stop this? We are using 7.0.0 build 7.2.0. Thanks
Requestor Site Field Update
Active Directory imports do not seem to be updating people who have changed Sites. We have recently moved and office, which changed the Site name and the Phone for each of the employees. None of these employees have updated Site or Phone information in Service Desk even after a successful manual import. Is this a known/fixable issue? -gjaynes

Modify Purchase Order form
I would like to be able to modify the Purchase Order form to include SKU number and manufacturer info on a per line item basis. The simplest way would appear to be to allow the addition of customizable columns to the product details section. We purchase from distributors that use SKU numbers in addition to manufacturer part numbers. Also, one purchase order to any given vendor/distributor may contain parts from many different manufacturers.
ServicedeskPlus 7.5 on a shared App server
Hello, I'll be installing the new version of Servicedesk Plus to a shared application server that has an existing MSDE database. What I need to check is to see if there are any conflicts with the Mysql ServicedeskPlus 7.5 uses and existing MSDE installations. I want to make sure I don't inadvertently cripple the existing MSDE db that exists on the shared app server. I've been looking through the forum and on the web to see if such an issue exists, any advice would be helpful. Regards, R
view requests in "MULTIPLE" departments
Is there the possibility or currently the ability to allow a user to see requests in more than one department. For instance. We have our head of Engineering and we would like him to see all of engineering requests and also all of Customer Services requests as they report to him also. Thanks J
Change product from Asset to Component
Recently a technician had assigned a monitor as a Workstation when entering the product into a Purchase Order. When that purchase order was approved and closed, it created the monitor as a Workstation--which is now using one of our Asset licenses. I've already changed the monitor to be a component, not a workstation, in the Products section in the Admin tab. However, the monitor continues to reside as a Workstation. In addition, it now shows in the Components section, but opening it just redirects
AD and pass-through authentication
hello guys - i`ve succefully imported users from AD , and users can enter SD+ with their AD accounts. if i enable this feature - then nothing happens and systems promts for account as earlier. i`ve found similar posts and perform some recommendations below , but it did not help - tried different browsers - added SD+ server into trusted sites any ideas more? thanks!
Error while deleting a workstation
I'm getting the following error when I try to delete an specific workstation. Why can't I delete a Technician
I get the foillowing error when trying to delete a tech and it is urgent I delete them as they can no longer login, so have to rercreate thier account as a tech Version 7008 Thanks in advance

remote control in Asset Management
Hi Again, When I saw the new functionality of Remote Control in Asset Management, I nearly fell of my chair in excitment. At last a way to support someone , while thier ont the phone telling you your issues and not have to launch a whole bunch of difference software. But to my dismay, every time I try and use it says Insalling Agent Controller or viewer and stays there for hours.... error - with view request details
i have list of requests on page - mydomen/WOListView.do i want view addition details of reques and clicking on request with number 900, and instead this opening request details with number 901 (next number). for resolve this problem i delete part of URL. Like this - mydomen/WorkOrder.do?woMode=viewWO&woID=900&&fromListView=true - in this URL i deleting - &&fromListView=true and after that opening request details for 900 number. what can i do?

Migration to 7.5
I tried upgrading from 7.0.0 buld 7022, and it broke my install. The patch fails showing the following error: "There are no primary or candidate keys in the reference table"... but there's no lines in the log file. Please help me.
