Desktop Alarm Escalation
I would like to be able to set alarm escalations for certain desktop computers, do i need to add the relevant desktops to the server list or is there a way of keeping them apart ?
system resources
I am evaluating this package but cannot use it because after several hours it takes up all of my system resources. I'm evaluating this on a 2.4G P4 with 512Mb of memory and WXP Pro. This is my desktop machine so e-mail IM and other apps are running. Task Manager shows 3 instances of Java running in which 1 is 100+ MB at all times. Is there an issue running the server and client on the same machine??
Lengthen Time Out ping time in monitoring
I've asked this question before, and i don't think op manager yet does this, but i was wondering if it might in the near future. The problem is we monitor several WAN links over ISDN, and under heavy traffic replys to pings sometimes take 5000ms or more. I've noticed opmanager will time out after about 1500ms, and mark the device as down, leaving us with several false alerts being sent out. Is there a way to increase the time out opmanager uses to ping devices?

polling more than 5 minutes
Hi. I use NetFlow Analyzer eval version. Very usefull tools. But it not give the real results because it make polling every 5 minutes. And I have a problem with some lines when I get avarge less then 50% in Netflow. but when I talk with my ISP, they tell that thare are a lot of piks 1,2 seconds, 1,2 minutes. Brunch office cant work. Is it possible to configure Netflow Analyzer to make polling every 1-2 seconds or 1 minute?

Web Interface Timeout
We are evaluating Netflow Analyzer, looks like a nice tool. But, I'm getting tired of having to log back into the interface all of the time. Is there a way to change the timeout period. Looked through the Admin Operations and couldn't find anything. Thanks Paul Sullivan

What exactly does: WMI service needs to be enabled in both the server and the client. Remote DCOM should be enabled in both the server and the client. Mean in Windows XP client environment? How is this done? Need this info asap, as I'm trying to demo evaluation of software to my client.
OpManage 5.5 and lotus
Hello, im Patrick, an it. Lately, we decided to try OpManage and it work fine up to now. but, i have an issue. I would like to monitor lotus domino 6 with snmp but it seems, i can't get any readable value from the lotus monitor. i did follow the steps to install and start the lotus snmp service. i am just unable to get it work with opManage. any idea on how i could fix it Thanks

Great Product. I am playing around with my newly purchased version, and I mistakenly put in a PO that had the wrong price. Once you save it you can't delete this. How can I accomplish this? Next, can I move the database to a different machine (with the software) once I have it configured the way I want it?
Monitoring SQLServer Deadlocks
Hello together, i am evaluating OPManager and i wonder how i can monitor Deadlocks (and other parameters related to an SQL Instanze). The node i try to monitor (and trigger an email) is a 4 CPU active/passive Cluster with 4 SQL Instances installed (running each on seperate IP). What is to do to get the values from the different instances ?. Is it possible ?
web interface customization
hello, I am trying to understand if there is a way to be able to customize logo's and look & feel of the web interface. We are possibily looking at extending access to this app for our managed service clients and if so would like them to have a common look and feel for our intranet...is that possible? on a side note, how does one remove the initial information on the login screen for the admin name and admin password data? thanks Naynesh

UDP multicast 45564
I noticed alot of multicast traffic coming from my opmanager serveron udp 45564 from java.exe I assume this is normal behaviour for opmanager? Is there a unicast option?

Netflow Analyzer... Would you recommend?
We are about to demo this product. For years we have been using products like MRTG to view and manage bandwith. MRTG works fine but is very labor intensive. All we need is a product to give us pretty graphs on utilization without much work. It would also be nice to have a product that can alert us when utilization is high.. or when there are a large amount of port errors. Is this that product? Can you honestly recommend this product?
Dashboard view still slow
Ive increased the key_buffer_size variable in the startdb.bat file to 128MB but the dashboard view is still slow to appear. It takes anything between 10 and 20 seconds. It is faster than before i changed the variable but its still annoying. All other screens appear fast. We have about 100 devices in our list. Any suggestions?

When i use computer name (http://Computer or http://computer.domain.com), I not able to log on opmanager web client. when I use IP address, (http://192.168.10.10) i have no problem to log on

Evaluating Netflow analyzer
I am evaluating the Netflow analyzer product. We have a 3745 router with ATM IMA. I have enabled ip route-cache flow on the fast ethernet interface. For the IMA interface, should I enable route-cache. The option I have under Atm0/ima0.111 has only "same interface" . THere is no flow option. On the ATm0.ima0.111 interface, I only see out traffic. No in traffic is captured. Any ideas... Kumar

Is it possible to have NetFlow Analyzer automatically display the description of the router interface in addition to the interface name that is currently displayed? Seeing the interface description makes determining the function of a particular interface much easier. V/

We have the unlimited license, which allows us to create users etc., Since in my group alone, we each are assigned user logins with full control over the objects in OpManager, we need some accountability in OpManager for changes which have been made. Hello, We need the ability to report on devices within a particular business view. Right now all I see is the ability to report on all devices. I hear there is a release coming that will address this, when will this occur? SMS/Email Notification
Hi In the notification rules, I had ticked both email and SMS notification of the technician when request is assigned. Only the email came through however. I then unticked the email notification, and the SMS then came through. Does Servicedesk send either an email or SMS, or should both be coming through? Thanks in advance Nigel

exchange 2003 monitoring
I noticed a pre-defined service for exchange - I have been able to find one box with exchange on port 161 (this is on a w2k server) but it does not find it on another box that is running on w2k3. 1) Can anyone plz let me know how to skip the password, For some machines in my network the login name is "administrator" and password is blank. So please let me know how to scan those machines for inventory. 2) How to configure opmanager to scan the workgroup automatically for the inventory?? How to enter only login detail of a machine which has a blank password ? both opmanger and SD dont allow admin to enter blank password for domain or workgroup machine for inventory scanning!
Scanning machine in workgroup!!
SD is not able to automatically scan all the machine in a workgroup but it scan all the machines available when i do a Network scan . Why is this happening and what should i do to scan only workgroup machines?
