Feature request
Hi, It would be nice if you consider in your future update an option to display a list of devices and their assigned IP addresses. For example click on a particular subnet in Network View menu and have an option in the sort by to list the devices and their IP addresses sorted by IP address. Such an option is useful to keep track of assigned IP addresses in each subnet. Example: Router1 192.168.0.1 Router2 192.168.0.2 Switch 192.168.0.3 Regards, Ramzi
5006 installation problems
Hi, My current version is 5003 and I was not able to update to 5006. The installation hangs on 98% then it starts to uninstall the hotfix. Mapmaker won't start anymore
Hello, We had mapmaker working and created some business views. I went to use it today to update the views and it's just hanging at "client initializing". I can see in the OpManager logs that it's connecting/logging into OpManager. The only thing that I can think of is that we deleted/added some devices and maybe that messed it up? Frank

regular expression
Hi, Is it possible to configure firewall analyzer to generate alerts based on certain pattern or regular expression? For example sends an email if the recieved record has Login failure or Authentication failure in it? What we do now is have a perl script monitors the syslog file and looks for the patterns we want and send us emails if there is a match. Inventory Reports in Opmanager
Hello, I am evaluating Opmanager 6 & was wondering if there was any way to create custom 'Inventory Reports' that include 'Additional Fields' added through the adminstrative interface (i.e. serial number, cabinet, etc)? If this is not available via the existing GUI, is there any way I can develop my own and have them displayed in the 'Inventory Reports' section of the Reports page (of course, any pointers on how to do this would be helpful)? - Brian
Request List Sorting
Hi, is it possible to create a function to view "All my Requests" where i can see all open Requests that are assigned to me irrespective of their Status (only closed Requests should not be shown here). I've deployed the required jbossagent.sar file to my deploy directory and can view my web applications deployed on the server through Applications Manager. Is there any way to sort the list of calls by which queue they are in? I have a couple of technicians who belong to a couple of queues, and i need them to be able to see all requests from one simple view. I have looked at the column names and queue is not inlcuded. Domain information in inventory
We have found an issue. When we look at the inventory tab then Workstations we see a pie chart with three slices: 1 - Domain 2 - Domain.Local 3 - Not Assigned With most showing up in the Not Assigned slice. Why? Machines are Win2K, WinXP and Win2K3 servers. All the workstations are in the same domain and when you go into each some show IP addressses instead of machine names.

Hi, all. This is probably a question for Vinu or somebody at support. Considering the relatively small universe of customers that drive my current needs for a software support service, I am planning to deploy SCP at department level, so it will be independently and locally managed. Traffic graphs not reported at "zero" during downt
In relation to the "mysql crashes" thread, when the collector was down for a period of a couple of hours this afternoon, no updates were received, obviously. The bug is that instead of showing "zero" traffic during this period, the graphs go from the last traffic entry at say 15:48 to the time the server came back up at 17:15. From begin to end, it's just a steady line from one point to the other. Shouldn't it be zero during this time? The "Traffic IN/OUT Details" shows an entry for 15:48 at xMbps

MySQL Crashes
Am I bugging you yet? I've been evaluating the trial version now for several days and have had MySQL crash twice. I'm an experienced MySQL programmer and know that the program is generally stable if set up correctly, though. The only message that shows up in the Application Event Viewer is "application error" and "the faulting application is mysqld-nt.exe ... faulting module ntdll.dll" Any idea what could be causing this or any settings I could tweak to get this working? Custom Dashboard
Hi all, I have (in my test environment) 3 member servers and 3 dc's (all running Win2003 Ent). i can get all the servers monitored without problem in Opmanager, but is there anyway I can all the servers in one view as my client wants to be able to view all servers and status of services etc in one screen without having to go clicking around. Interface description incorrect on Cisco CAT IOS
On our Cisco switches running CAT IOS the interface name is not displying correctly for the switchports. They are all generically named "10/100 utp ethernet (cat 3/5)". When OpManager looks at the switches running Cisco IOS the description are correct. What is the fix for this?

generating my own reports
Hi, I want to know how to access the stats collected by opmanager so that i can create my own custom reports page, I only want to do basic things like the top 10 cpu,disk and memory utilization reports which opmanager does now. I'd just like to have it on its own page so everyone who wants to view them doesn't need access to opmanager. also this will allow me to provide comments on the reports to deal with high utilization. Any direction or documentation to help me with this is greatly appreciated
Restricting access to the Login Page???
Hi, I am just wondering what is the best way to secure the OpManager Login page. At the moment, it seems to be available to everyone... I have tried changing the ACLs on the folders under ME though the site still appears to everyone. Is there anyway to restrict access to the Login Page... Disabling Rediscovery

We were evaluating ServiceDeskPlus for the last 15 days. We would also like to evaluate SupportCenter before deciding to buy. I would like to know if there is any way the requests logged in ServiceDesk can be exported to SupportCenter.
Business Rule - Priority
Is there any way to use a business rules to assign requests to support reps based on the product? This would be very helpful as a queue may support a number of similar products but not every rep would support each product. Also, is there a way to customize the reqeust queue view. Again, there isn't any differentiation between requests in the same queue. This could be based on product or category. Also, there is no reporting based on products. Time entries appear as date the request was created
When running a Time Spent Report by Technician it appears that time entries are always placed on the day the job was created, rather than the day the time entry was made. Is there any way to amend this so that time entries show on the day they were made made? Thanks

Can requester account listings be case insensitive?
When trying to search for a requester, I noticed a few things: 1) admin level people don't show up as requesters 2) When searching through requesters, the listing is strictly as a computer would list them. SAm is listed very far ahead of sam. Can you make the search less case sensitive? (ie, internally convert all addresses to lower-case and list them that way?) machine names aren't case sensitive, and I don't believe accounts are either (in the microsoft world). Linux yes. Custom Compliancy Report export to empty file
Whenever I create a custom compliancy report (under My Reports --> Create New Reports --> Report Type of "Compliance Report (for Windows Hosts Only)" and attempt to export the results to either a PDF or CSV file, the file that is created has a size of 0 bytes. There is data there to export, but nothing shows up. If I select a Report Type of "Custom Reports with Event Filters" and select only Security data, I also only get a 0 byte result; however, if I select all events, it exports a very nice report,
Attack report
When you provide an Attack Report one would suspect a content. I my environment we use a Cisco FWSM blade firewall and we have about 3.000.000 event per day. Some of these event have to be a part of an attach. How do you define attack to be presented in your report? Ex. Would a server port scanning another server thru the firewall be considered an attack.
