Request Filter - Suggestion
It would be handy to have a filter for Technician's whom I dont want to have admin access to filter BY Catagory. I know you can view catagories in the global view but that is not available to my Technicians.

The capability to include information on customizable additional fields, was a great feature to add. For example, in MIB Browser we use .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.3.2 to get 5 min Load Average but the result is: Request failed or timed out. I am evaluating OpManager for use in systems that we provide to Energy providers. As such, they must adhere to a lot of goverment NERC/FERC regulations for security. They will be unable to use a product that needs the userid/password kept in a file or database. The systems we setup use exchanged ssh key pairs to do authentication, will OpManager be supporting this?

Hi All I can't able to install OpManager 6 for linux in SUSE 9 ENT Server.Though the installation was successful.But when i try to start OpManager Server its giving and error unable to start mysql deamon.and then it terminates. Move a DC to normal server without AD-license in OP
We have 2 2003-Domaincontrollers. The servers are in the group Domain Controllers in OP and we can't move them because we didn't buy the Active Directory module.
Domain scan through Windows firewall - with a twist.
Pretty straight forward question, which may or may not have a solution. Primarily a Windows XP user base, however our primary domain controller is Windows 2000 server. Is there a way I can allow ServiceDesk domain scan to pass through the Windows firewall without access to the XP specific group policy settings? In a perfect world the primary domain controller would be Server 2003, however its not. - Michael

Alert actions for unsolicited traps
Hello all, I have tried to find this in the forum, but had no luck... Is there a way to set up App Manager to carry out an alert action (i.e., send me an email) when any unsolicited trap comes in? I am aware that I can set up a Trap Listener and feed in all of the info for a given trap, but it would be nice to just get an email for any unsolicited trap. (This would save me a huge amount of time configuring loads of Trap Listeners! Thanks for your time, Dave A

switch port mapper
Hi there, I've noticed that in the Switch Port Mapper, I have two switches that can both see a host called "eastnor" - one switch displays the IP address of the host and the other switch does not (see images). Hi, I have installed EventLog Analyzer but am having problems logging syslog entries for my local (standalone) machine. It seems that the syslog service that is already running ties up Port 514, and entries in syslog.conf are not sent to the EventLog Analyzer (as it is on the same port - or a different one if I specify it to be). Is there any way in the syslog.conf file to send items to another port so EventLog Analyzer can monitor syslog items on the same (local) machine? Thanks!

Hi We are evaluating this software for using in our enetrprise. I have two queries 1. When we see protocol wise usage it show a majority of traffic as usassigned. StillSecure's Strata Guard IPS/IDS snmp
Is it possible for OpManager to receive SNMP traps from IPS/IDS' that does not allow polling, and relies on SNMP monitor (OpManager) to only listen for the snmp packets? It seems that StillSecure's Strata Guard will only direct SNMP traps towards OpManager, but will not allow OpManager to poll Strata Guard. I know that by adding a device in OpManager causes SNMP polling towards the network device, but Strata Guard totally ignores them. The implication is that OpManager cannot see the Strata Guard
