4 requests missing from list, but still show up in reports
Problem Description: 4 requests seemed to disappear over the past few days. Now, there's a difference between the number of requests listed on my main work order page (12) and the number of requests in my custom "Complete List of Requests" report (16). In other words, the missing requests still show up in reports, but not in the request list. Notes: I'm displaying all requests on the work order page. Reassigning Closed tickets?
Is there a way of preventing Technician's from reassigning "closed" tickets? What would be the reason of not having it locked down? Can I setup a way of having assigning a ticket to "one way" meaning a tech can ONLY assign a ticket to himself and a manager can assign it to a tech. I don't want techs to assign one to the other. Requesters viewing their assets and contracts
I can't seem to identify how to allow requesters to log into the ServiceDesk interface and view the assets that they own and the current status of their contracts. We have assigned assets to being owned by requester users, and want these users to be able to log in and see their assets, and see the status of their contracts on those assets. I can't see how to do this, without creating a new role that permits this, however the roles don't appear to be able to be applied to the requesters, just technicians.
Getting tricky with subject lines
Is it possible to do more with subject lines (in emails sent to service desk) than associating with an existing ticket? For instance, I (as the manager) want to send a user an email, copy Copy ServiceDesk on the mail and assign it to a tech or a priority/severity level - all by including key words in the subject line. Linux CPU % not working
I have the same problem on all my Linux systems with OpManager 6 SP1, they all return a CPU usage of -1%. This is because the command OpManager uses does not work. One system (Fedora 2) returns just text. root@host [~]# top b n 1 | grep 'CPU[0-9]* states:' CPU states: cpu user nice system irq softirq iowait idle another (Fedora Core 4) [root@suse ~]# top b n 1 | grep 'CPU[0-9]* states:' [root@suse ~]# returns nothing because the text is not found. Hi, I am testing Firewall Analyzer. My network is: a DMZ with four servers (mail, dnn, web...) and a local network. In all report, I can't see URL (from my servers) visited by internauts. I see the rate beetween the four servers, their public IP address but no precision about what the has done the visitors. I have a Fortigate 60 firewall. I there a special settiing to do ? Thanks

Dear Support I would line to seek clarifications on the definition of the "Top hosts - Sent" "Top hosts - Received" in the traffic reports. Netflow and peribit
Ok i configured peribit to export netflow data to the netflow server. I am getting both in and out results however in configuring netflow on the peribit, it is a bit vague. On the dashboard it comes up as one interface with the in and out statistics and i have no idea what port it is, whether it is the port that the compressed packets are received on or not. Furthermore looking at traffic details they seem to be incorrect in that we are getting more telnet traffic from a server than a device that

host is deleted but logs still in database?
Hi I am testing the Eventlog Analyzer 4 build 4011. There are 2 problems I am facing. 1. I could not collect some events from Eventlog Analyzer Server which is Win2k Server. I am trying to be notified for Server Shutdown/Startup and User Login/Off for that. None of them is available. 2. I removed 1 host from Eventlog Analyzer but that host events are still in database and not deleted even though host is already deleted. How can I resolve these 2 issues? Thanks. Regards Joe
Clean Install of DE 4.1 - Can't Add User
Clean install of DeviceExpert 4.1, try to add an additional administrator user and I just get the message "Error in creating new user John". Other than that the program seems to be working OK. Any suggestions? How can I track down the cause of the error? Thanks, Tom
Netscreens
I am using multiple Netscreens and exporting syslogs to FWA. I have everything checked but debug in the Netscreens. FWA reports for attacks is always empty, other reports seem OK. What should I look for ? Also, I would like to look for 'flood' in the logs since I am particularly interested in ICMP and SYNDOS floods. So far I can't find them in reports. Thanks

Notifications based on time of day
Can OpManager send Email/SMS notifications based on the time of day? For example, have an SMS send every day at 3pm with the status of the device. Thanks.

Hi, when setting up an Apache Monitor then there is no way to change the "server-status" url. Ouer apache has the server-status url under $host/-system/server-status. Is there a way to change this behavior or add an parameter to the create and edit monitor? Kind regards.
Rename Infrastructure view items
Hi, I wonder if there a way to rename the items list in infrastructure view. For example, I don't have wireless devices for the moment, but have lot of Oracle servers.. Just rename 'Wireless' to 'Oracle' could be great.. At this time, I do that : update PanelProps set attribvalue = "Application servers" where nodeid = "Ups_Map.netmap" and attribvalue = "UPS"; but the name is changed only in the HomePage.

Default Event Reports
Hi. We are evaluate you product in like it but there is one thing that is confusing us. In the Default Event Reports view under Top user failed logins the information is not correct. If i i look under Tops hosts with failed logons it shows something totally different. In the Top user failed logins, events with the exact same event id are not shown. Why is it like this? hi, I,ve detect a bug on the Requests list. When you put the mouse over the title of the request you have a small windows that appear. Inside you have the Request ID, Category, Title and description. But when you have an <'> (simple quote) inside the category name, evry thing after the <'> doesn't appear on screen. i hope, i help
Possible update of software to support HP Tru64?
Would LOVE to use this program to monitor our 3 alpha servers that run Tru64, but there is no option. Is there a way around this. Also Tru64 does not have the ability to use JDK 1.5. It is not available. Is there a fix for this too>
Business Rules issue - mini movie attached!

If I add more than one selection, i.e Description contains fred and then try to add Description does not contain barney it changes the rule to show Description does not contain fred or barney. BackupDB.sh failure
While running the BackupDB.sh (version 7.0.1, Fedora4 O/S) I get the following: Exception while getting data from HostDataCollected General error message from server: "Can't open file: 'HostDataCollected.MYI'. (errno. 145)" The file HostDataCollected.MYI is located in /[installdir]AdventNet/ME/AppManager6/working/mysql/data/AMDB and owned by the correct user:group with 0660 for permisions.
