We have a client asking to prove our application performs and scales, one thing they are asking to see is disk i/o from our application. Is there a way for me to monitor disk i/o on our windows servers . . . ? Thanks :-)

Clearing an alert with a trap
Is it possible to clear an alert (previously created by a trap) with an another trap? For exemple: 1. A trap created by a device telling that it lost it database connection will generate a critical alert. 2. If the connection to the database is coming back to normal, a new trap is generated from the device telling that the connection is correct. 3. This trap will cancel the alert associated to the device. Thank you

Problem with Advanced Filtering in Custom Report
I have created in Asset - Additional Fields text field "Room" with Type: Pick List. Then I create Custom Report and try filter this text field values. In Advanced Filtering I select column "Room", "is" and press "Choose" for pick values. But in pop-up window list of values is empty... When I press "Ok" in pop-up window the following message displayed: "The selected date should be greater than the current date". SDP build 5506, 5507 - same results. Please, help. Thanks.

Hello, I am having a lot of problems with the script monitor. It successfully runs the application and outputs a file with a key/value pair, like errorcode=test But when manage engine refreshes, it picks up the nwe variable parsed from the file, but not the value. I cannot get it to display the value in the file, string nor integer. A snapshot has been sent to your email address 3 hours ago so you can see what is displayed. Replies to existing jobs are not being highlighted
We are noticing that when a requester sends a reply in to a case it does not show as emboldened in the list of requests and we are missing the fact that the client has replied. Unassigned cases are in bold. This only seems to have happened recently - we are running build 5505 but I am not sure if 5506 had any effect on this? Thanks

Unable to upgrade from 5032 to 5034
I'm running build 5032 and trying to upgrade to build 5034. It fails and roll back to build 5032. Hi, I was wondering if SD+ can monitor serial numbers to prevent duplication of PC details in AD when I rename a PC. I know that SD+ used to obtain all information based on NIC on a workstation, but I was wondering if there was any way to achieve the same result based on serial number. At present on rescan, we get duplication of PC's.

Hi, I am evaluating the product for use at a customer's site and have the following question. We have multple jboss instances running (i.e. 8080, 8180 etc). It appears that the default listener port when defining a jboss monitor is 1099. I need to be able to specify this parameter. Is that possible? We are running jboss 4.02 Mike Hills

Recover XP OS
A few days ago my pc was working fine, but now when I go to boot up it tells me that "\windows\system32\config\system" is missing or corrupt. The black screen tells you to reboot from the original CD select "r" for repair. Selecting "r" takes you to a Dos prompt and I don't know what to do at this point. I do not have the original cd. Please help!!!!

Clear a trouble Alarm!
Hi all, I am trying OpManager, and having a problem with the Alarms and Notification: I had set up Notifications for all my alarms, and i have one alarm from a Cisco Catalyst 4500 about some Ports that are down, they are "operationally down", how can i make OpManager ignore this error? I have tryed to unmanage that ports, doesn't solve the problem! Preferely i just want to say: "ok, i know, if something else change notify me!", becouse those ports may be used in th future and i do not like the idea

I have downloaded the trial version of the Manage Engine Software. I am hoping to be able to configure it to work with our existing application. If this is possible we would like to purchase a license. My main problem: is that I need to change the database being used over to Oracle, as this is what we are using for the rest of the application. I would like to be able to enter bulk CONTACTS. Contacts with email addresses that are external to our organization. I have CSV files with many names and e-mail addresses. Server Availability Report:: 7 servers shown as Down
Hello there My Opmanager is ok , except that on the Report section--> All server availability report, among the 40 servers I have, 7 servers are shown with 0 percent uptime for today. i tried for the "past one week report", result is the same. but on the "last one month" report these servers are shown as 60 percent uptime. for the last 2 weeks, these servers are shown as down by the report . and yet , physically all these servers are own and working properly with out giving any trouble. OpManager stops collecting data
Hi, I have installed OpManager 6 from scratch. Windows 2000, SQL 2000 OpManager collected data for the 2 or 3 hours then it stopped. Checked nmserrx.txt file and find out and error that the data was truncated. I modified database_params.conf, wrapper.conf and SetEnv.bat in the way Rex told me some time ago as database connection was getting disconnected and to get through this it was necessary to move to MSSQL JDBC Driver instead of jtds driver. Checked new nmserrx.txt file and found a new error:

Is it possible to create a notification profile that will send an alert whenever a monitor is unable to retreive data from a device ? I'm using a Telnet monitor to check available disk space on a Solaris server & I want to get a notification in case the monitor is unable to execute the telnet command (in case login fails or no response from the telnet deamon)

Hi, I am testing opmanager in my network, and having a trouble: I have set the refresh interval of all devices to 1 minute and when a simulate a link down i do not get an alarm until i manually update the status of the device in the "update status" action. What's wrong? Isn't the update automatic? And one more thing: What is the "Last Polled AT" and "Next Poll At" in a device? Because i always have a few days back, like for example today i have in a device: Last Polled at Out 26,2006 06:15:56 PM
Switch Port Mapper shows availible when it's not
It will show available in green, sometimes it will show a mac address sometimes it won't. But the available port count is always off. Transient ports do it as well, in the screen shot I attached there is 4 Transient ports that show in red and 1 in green, Available show 10, 4 in red and 6 in green.

Weird Login Problem
Hello everyone, I'm testing out Device Expert to see if it's something we can use. I have it installed on a workstation and I can access the web based login through http://localhost:6060, and it works fine. However, if I try to access it remotely, like I do opmanager and service desk, I get a weird page with squares on it. I've attached a screenshot below. Does anyone have any ideas?
