Net Flow 5.5 will not start
I installed NetFlow 5.5 on Windows XP Service Pack 2 and I cannot start the NetFlow service. I attempts to start 5 times and gives up. This PC has 3 Gigabytes of memory and a Dual Core 2.8 Gig Processors. Any idea why it won't start? Thanks in advance.

Custom reports
Hi, i have some difficulties to comprehend the data gathered from a custom report. For example: i create a custom report from a source network to a destination network that lies 7 days back. I get something like this: Source-IP----Destination IP---Application---Port(src/dest)---Protocol---Traffic 10.10.10.1 20.20.20.1 http 80 TCP 100MB Is this the summary of traffic from 10.10.10.1 to 20.20.20.1 including the client traffic? Because i cannot see the TCP-Highports from the client communication. Thank
Time Spent Report Amount Decimal Places
When running a Time Spent Report the dollar amount has 14 decimal places. Is there a way to change it to two decimal places?
Citrix Neighborhood, Patch 5507 and Constant debugging
After installing patch 5507, we are now getting constant debug errors when accessing service desk through citrix neighborhood: A Runtime Error has occured Do you wish to Debug? Logon Failures not showing up but SOX report being sent out
I am evaluating the ELA4 product (build 4020) and have found a couple of issues. 1) When creating a Database Filter, if one selects the checkbox to process a specific Event ID only and enters the Event ID into the supplied text box, the Event ID is *not* saved when saving the filter. One has to edit each filter individually and re-enter the Event ID or IDs and then save the filter again. 2) During testing Account Logon Failures, I notice that the failures do not show up anywhere in the interface

Unable to import/export firewall logs
Hi I have installed firewall analyser on windows 2003 server in my domain and have configured my firewall with following commands logging on logging timestamp logging buffered debugging logging trap errors logging host inside 172.16.2.239 17/1514 i have configured the webclient to add port 1511 for the syslog server. however the webclient keep saying no firewall is exporting logs and i am not able to add any device in device details
Log Filtering
I am currently evaluating ELA for our institution but continue to have several questions. When using the GLBA reports for user login and logoff I am getting information nonrelated to actual users. The report displays all users that have logged in and logged off but also displays computers/servers that have lgged in/out of the network. Does ELA currently have any way to filter data? Example: If I would want my report to display users not computers that have logged in/out? Thank you,
Outgoing Email
We can't seem to get outgoing email working. Incoming is working just fine, we receive the requests. When we try to reply, we get a generic failed message. We are running groupwise 6 on a novell 5 server, the outgoing protocol and port is set correctly. It doesn't seem to be getting out of the helpdesk server because we don't see the message hitting the post office on the groupwise server. Is there something else that needs to be set?
Feature Request - AD Group & Individual message Broadcas
I've scoured the forum and not found a hit on this so .... I think a neat feature that could be added to AD MANager would be a message broadcast capability that broadcast to selected users/groups based on logon with AD - rather than via a net send equivalent ..... thoughts anyone...? New DC - Some of the AD queries result in N/A
We have been successfully monitoring DCs with opmanager for about a year. We've just added an 11th DC, and I'm seeing all N/A for the following: -All performance Counters - All network monitors except Number of Clients I've removed and readded the monitors to no avail. Wasn't there a command-line utility that sometimes is needed to run against the DC? I've forgotten what it is. BTW I do have my user enabled for remote WMI and DCOM access on the DC.
Changing network view address to name
Hello Wondering if anyone knows if I can change the network view addresses (bottom left) to something I can refer to and make it more meaningful in my network. eg 168.192.20.0 to Office Network Is this just a change in the hosts or networks files for linux? Thanks Jonathan

Hi, We currently use another method to archive the event logs off the workstations. They are compressed and archived away. This tool looks like something we can use, however is it possible to analyse those .evt files and not the host? Rogue Detection list
Is there a way to delete the current uncleared listing of rogue devices. In essence this would force the software to rediscover those devices and relist them. I am having an issue where I am only getting a mac address returned on some of the devices on my network (several hundred actually) and was thinking that if I could get the system to repopulate these devices in the rogue list I might get some better info. Returning only a mac makes it a little hard for me track down.
"Watching" tickets
Does SD+ have the ability to allow a technician (or manager) to "watch" the status of a ticket (ie getting email updates when a ticket is updated or closed)? Tried searching the forum...but the search feature doesn't quite cut it... Thanks.

We are evaluating Service desk plus 4.0. I want to know is there any tool by which we collect the information from remote assets and import into SD+. Lot of users are travelling or sometime the assets are placed at a place where no connectivity is available . Domainscan can not work. What should be done in such cases. Thanks

I downloaded ServiceDesk and set it up without adding any of my own information to first check the application out. Thereafter, I noticed that I had 4 technicians listed with name and phone number. Why would I have technicians listed which are not familiar to me or our company? Any answer is appreciated. pdgold
Mail notifications stopped due to spam message
Hi All, We have been evaluating ServiceDesk plus and have installed it on a Linux server. I turned on mail notifications yesterday afternoon and it worked fine. Last night at about 7pm it stopped working at the time a spam message appeared in the IMAP mailbox. Obviously the spam message was causing the problem. I deleted it and restarted the server running ServiceDesk and that fixed the problem. I am just wondering how often I can expect this problem to happen and when a proper fix is expected. I

treshold rule (lesser than)
Hi all, I am monitoring on of our sql servers through the sql add-on and one of the things to monitor is the MSSQLCacheHitRatio. This ratio should be ideally higher than 85%. Well, I have put our threshold limit on 80% and the Threshold Check when Monitored value is lesser than threshold limit. It will rearm at 81%. Now our monitored value is around 84% and it will generate me an alarm? I'm under the impression that it should generate the alarm ONLY when the value goes below 80%. Am i configuring
Business Rules Not Working in SD+ 5.5 (Build 5501)
I'm trying to create a business rule that takes a custom field as it's only criteria and then sets the Priority to High. I've read the other posts on here about making sure the Default Values are not set, etc. and I've tried it with or without them and it still doesn't work. The only thing I have set right now for the Requesters is that it's a Mandatory field and they must choose a Priority when creating tickets but I did not set a Default Value for the Priority field. What do I need to do to fix
VMwared' Fedora Core 6 says Unable to start Mysql daemon
Has anyone had trouble running OpManager on a Fedora Core 6 box? It would keep saying Unable to start Mysql daemon, even though the hosts file does not have any IPv6 lines in it, just the regular localhost line. This was brought up before on an older version of Fedora Core (4 or 5), yet no post of a solution was made public. Anyone know what to do?
How to display simple chinese in SMS alter messages?

Monitoring Oracle
I can run MibBrowser.bat and ALL the Oracle monitors work! When I change the configuration of MibBrowser to use Version 2c snmp it FAILS. I can run snmpwalk and they work too! But...in Opmanager I cannot get ANY oracle monitor to work so I am assuming that Opmanager is using V2c and failing... Is there a way to force version 1 SNMP for a monitor? Thanks -Wayne
Error in MIB-Browser
Since the last update to 6010 i regularly run into an error message displayed in the MIB-browser. I'm querying a device several times, and then suddenly a message window appeas with the following error message: problem iii [object error] After this message the only way to use the mib-browser again is going back to the admin page and restart the mib-browser. Anybody know where this is coming from .. and more importantly ... how to fix this?
DC devices also need interface rediscovery
Just created a new network team on a DC, and realized these devices do not have the interface rediscovery mechanism. I have really enjoyed Opmanager's capability to rediscover interfaces, because re-teaming is something we seem to do frequently (new teaming software, new hardware, etc). Hope you add this feature soon to Domain Controller devices. Thanks!
Infrastructure URL monitor notifications not working
My pre-existing to 6010 URL monitor notifications have been working right along, until today when I modified the specified addressee. After modifying, I would save and close, then open the URL monitor up again to see the old addresses were still listed, my modifications didn't seem to have been applied. I deleted that URL monitor and started over, and then tested to see if they were working by having opmanager search for a non-existing text string. The URL monitor alerted, as being down, as I expected,
OpManager link
A while back, I had installed a demo version of OpManager to see if it was a product we would like to use. It didn't really suit our needs right now, so I uninstalled it. Now in the upper right-hand corner of the SD+ screen, that "Jump to" link for OpManager still points to the test box that I had OpManager installed on, which I don't want it to do. I want to reset that link to whatever the default setting was, which I can probably do in the database if I know which table it's in. Or if possible,
What customisations have you made in SD+?
Have you found a neat way of using the features of SD+? I was just looking at the REQUEST - ADDITIONAL FIELDS option in SD+ and I wondered what other people were using this for? Does anyone want to share any of their customisations with the rest of us? We are just using one field entitled: "Cause of job request" and we have entries such as: External error Software error System error User error User added something User changed something We just wanted to be able to analyse the jobs a little better.

Dropdown side menus
Hi, I would like the screen to stay as simple as possible, is there a way to keep the 3 left menus (quick create, serach and recent) collapsed instead of expanded. Each time I collapse them they re expand whenever I move to aother page. It seems weird they have expand/collapse buttons if they dont remember last viewed.
