I was wondering if there was a way to sort fields by (ascending/descending) within groups. I've created a new report that groups computers by CPU Type, but I also want to sort the CPU Speed field in ascending order to easily see who has the slowest machines and who has the fastest ones. We are using optilive 5.5 Servicedesk _Plus for all users. user opens call through Internet explorer via using their Domain Login. But since two days we have error code as stated in subject whenever any user is trying to open call through Network �password incorrect� . I've downloaded and installed the SD Plus on our test server and so far I like what I'm seeing. However I've got a couple of questions and one issue... Custom Report -- SQL query vs. Wizard
Is there a way to edit the actual SQL query of a custom report instead of editing it using the Report Wizard? If fields that I would like to use in a report do not show up in the wizard, would I have to make the entire report from scratch as a New Query Report? I am creating a Purchasing Report that is grouped by POName (that we use as cost center). I would like to have the details (individual items purchased) of the PO vs. the summary of the PO in the report. These items are not available for selection
Installation Help
I installed ServiceDesk Plus per instructions. The only difference is that it was installed to another hard drive on the server. It won't start the ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service. I don't get an error when starting it from Start, Programs....but if I try to manually start it in the Services list, I get this error: The ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do. Any suggestions?
Problems with IE
HI! I have installed servicedesk plus, and when users access the portal with Internet Explorer the page is show correctly and keep on asking the user and password. :( With firefox everything works just fine :) Can't anyone help me? Thanks
Customizing Home View
Hello All, I was just wondering if it was possible to customise the Home view to have it open up with "All Requests Summary" rather then "My Calls Summary". Reason for this is the Manager would like to be able to use that view seeing as he doesnt have any calls assigned to him, he would like an overall view. Is this possible?

I have created two separate queries that work rather nicely on their own. Fe1 is showing 100% utilization all the time which is obviously inaccurate. What changes need to be made to get the analyzer to show the correct utilization metrics?

Hi myk12pak I couldn't seem to add to the last post so I've added this one just to explain gfor you how I managed to achieve it. I just added the CPQIDA-MIB file into the /mibs folder on both the central server and probe, edited the /conf/mibtobeloaded.conf file to specify the mibs to be loaded on startup. WMI Not Working
Greetings, I am evaluating OpManager and am struggling to get my domain controller monitored properly. I have SNMP working and can see AD status on the dashboard (for example, which FSMO roles this particular DC has). However, none of the LSASS/WMI monitors work (CPU, Disk, etc..). They all show last polled as N/A and if I run a test I get the error that the monitor failed to respond. I have tested the credentials and know for certain they are correct. I have already checked the server AND run one
Root cause analysis question
Hi i would like to know how depth does the root cause analysis will do to indicate the error that cause the downtime? like for example a apache server having a downtime cause by web pages script error or db connection, would this kind of error (usually will go to error.log) will be define clearly on the root cause analysis or just a 404 message ??
from address of reports
when creating an e-mail with pdf attachement , the from address of the e-mail seems to allways be the same as the to address. This is a bit confusing and not very helpful when trying to sort e-mails every day. is their a way to customize the from address of these e-mails?

Hello, When trying to implement the following OID into Appmanager: .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.2 i am unable to but in OpManager it works fine. Appmanager will allow me to input the OID if i remove the ".", but this returns no value. Any ideas what i can do? Thanks. Jack_cognito

VPN Report Issues
Hi, very impressed with the firewall analyser the only issue we have is that althought the vpn reports contain the vpn sessions established there is no info for the volume of data passing through the tunnels. We use a PIX 515 here at head office with 501's at the branch offices with also a few software client connections for a few users all the reporting info is coaming from the 515 Is there anything that can be done to improve the quality of the VPN reporting? Monitoring Netflow Analyzer
I need to monitor Netflow analyzer to ensure that if we are always collecting flows. We can monitor the process, ex, but sometimes an application will be running but not responding. So I can also setup monitoring of timestamps on files, such as log files or database files. Does anyone know of a directory or file that gets updated contiuosly that we can monitor to verify that the application itself is working? Thanks

accessing opmanager DB very slow
I'm using Opmanager6 to monitor 20 routers,500 switches & 100 servers. The machine that OPman runs on is a P4 3Ghz with 2GB RAM, accessing top 10 switch ports and other reports can take nearly 700secs to complete. is this because the box is underpowered or OPman is not designed to monitor nearly 10000 ports. I'm going to move the installation to a new Dell server (Dual core 2.33Ghz, 2GB RAM, 36GB 15000rpm SAS drives) should I get an improvement in performance or spilt the monitoring across multiple
SNMP on Cisco Catalyst
We used the demo version of Opmanager where all traps were working fine. On purchasing Opmanager we installed a new server to run the software and since then I can see the ports on the switches but no monitors work. When I test the monitor it responds with : The Monitor did not respond to the test request The SNMP host is configured correctly on the switches, at this point ALL traps have been enabled and the community strings are correct. Any idea's as to how I can get this up and running?
Email based sms not working
We are using OpManager 6.0 Build 6011 on a Windows 2003 Standard Server SP1 and actual patches. We would like to send an email based sms (using Lotus Domino) for alarm escalation to a Vodafone Blackberry. When I try to send a test message from the "Mail server settings" page, I recieve an sms on this device. When I try to generate an alarm i.e. stopping a service with the notification profile assigned, no sms is recieved. In the mail server routing protocolls I can see that this email has been send
event log monitoring
I am trying to set up event log monitoring in MSP edition of Opmanager. WMI seems to be working correctly as I get some performance metrics through it. I have set up the event log rule to monitor for Any Application failure , and I am not getting any results, even though there are application failures logged into the event log. thanks

Notification profiles changed
Hi! We just applied the latest service pack to OPManager and it looks like the notification schema was changed. Previously we could configure Alarm filters for every Notification profile and for every machine separately. Now this option disappeared from Notification profiles. Is it right? Can we get it back?
HP RAID monitoring
I need some handholding getting a custom monitor created to monitor an HP Proliant server's physical drives. It's now time to select a limb on the tree, and I am at a loss. How do I translate the abbreviated names and which one do I select to monitor the drives?
Data Polling SNMP Retires
I see there is an option for snmp retires for discovery, but for snmp data polling. So, is there a way to configure the snmp data polling to retry when no response is received from a device after a specified timeout period?
nbar supported protocals

What does SD+ consider an update?
I have set our system up so we do not receive requests by email (user's must go to the webpage). I do have outbound from the system to the user's setup with all user notifications enabled. In testing the email out from the SD+ system, I am noticing that the Add notes option does not "update" the ticket. Unused Switch Ports causing Alarms
Hello, I am using the purchased version of Opmanager 5 build 5006. For the past several weeks I have noticed that opmanager reports alarm conditions for several ports on two of my managed switches. These ports are NOT being used (i.e. no cable plugged into the port) Opmanager says they are "operationally down" which is fine, but why the alarms? problems with Reports
Hi I am running reports to gather information about all jobs logged in a month, I have set the criteria to filter all jobs and what dates it needs to look for. There is a discrepency between the total number of jobs in the helpdesk and the total number I get after adding up totals for each month, surely these should be the same? Is there something I am doing wrong? All help appreciated...Thanks
