Hi there, What does it mean when AppManager build 7300 on Windows 2003 returns with the errortext "mopaction.mbeanoperations.erroroccurred.text" after trying to add a SNMP attribute (.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10) to a 'SNMP/Network Device' monitor via the MIB Browser? Business View Device Font Colour
Just a quick and hopefully easy question regarding Business View, I have searched the options in the MapMaker trying to find a location to change the font colour of the devices or add a background to make them stand out a bit more against the aerial photography that we are using. I have looked through the maps.conf in the conf directory trying to find a fontColor tag or something. This file directed me too look at examplemaps.conf which i could not locate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris
Installing OpUtils in Suse Linux

Purging out set of log entries
Hi there, One day last week, I had an errant process which created 300,000 log entries... I fixed the problem, but it is skewing my data so that my daily historical trend looks like Mondays (the day it happened once!) are really bad days! Is there a way I can select a subset of log entries for a specific server and time range to blow away? I expect I can do this via the Database Console if I know the right table(s) to deal with. I'm having problems setting up a monitor for a Weblogic 8.1 server in Applications Manager 7. I have added -Dweblogic.disableMBeanAuthorization=true and -Dweblogic.management.anonymousAdminLookupEnabled=true to my Weblogic startup. However, I think there is still a problem registering the MBean. In the AM7 stderr.txt, I get the entry shown below. 123.45.67.89 is the IP address of my Applications Manager server. Any suggestions? Removing IIS Web Sites & Services Not Running
Working with demo and looking for two things. First, the IIS monitor has found all the web sites. After this, we removed one from IIS. However, the monitor still sees it, or at least complains it cannot see it. How do we tell the monitor that site is now gone? I have set up Monitoring Groups. These groups consist of Windows Servers, Oracle databases and WebLogic application servers. On their own, these elements show availability and health, however when you attempt to view the Monitor Groups health and availability it is unknown (grey button, not green). For example our Exchange server has SNMP enabled and is able to be connected to, pinged, what-not, but is still showing unavailable. I have just activated WMI SNMP in hopes that it will help. It did not. 1. Do I have to remove and re-add the montior for the exchange server in order for it to operate? 2. SD+ installation: remote MSSQL 2005 in seperate instance?
Hi, we are currently installing SD+ on a debian linux machine. i have questions about this: 1) if I download SD+ from the site now, is this already the latest 6003 version? 2) we want to install SD+ on linux and install the database on a remote x64 MSSQL 2005 server instead of MySql locally. However I cannot get it to connect to the database. We have created a seperate instance for the servicedesk database and want to connect to this. Report showing Uptime of all monitor groups
I am looking for a report that will show me the the uptime of all monitor groups, the lowest value in each group and also one that shows the lowest value across all monitors in the the groups. Does this exist and if not can it be written?
Domain Scan - Workstations already exist so no data collecte
I have manually added 75 workstations along with 5 assets attached to each of those workstations. When I run a domain scan it only brings in new workstations and their details, ie the hardware/software info etc... When I do a manual scan of the existing workstations it succeeds but does not pull any of the hardware/software info, but If I delete the workstation it grabs all the info about the machine.... Is it me or do others find it frustrating how slow the releases are now coming? When I signed on, they were coming about 1 a month. It's now been 2 1/2 months since the last update and it did not provide any new functionality. reconfiguring downtime schedule does not reenable management
I created a downtime schedule in opmanager 6.0, build 6015. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong day (today, 4/5 instead of tomorrow, 4/6). Connecting to Analyzer
I just downloaded the software. My syslog servers are up and running on port 1514 and 514. I have a Fortigate 200 firewall and have the log settings set for my Analyzer computer. The only thing that shows on the home page is the Simulated Firewall. My question is how can I ensure that it is connected to my fortigate device? Thanks Micah
View Network Status - "Guest"
Tried searching for this and could not find anything. So, my question is, I have OpManager and our IT manager would like other IT people (non technicians) to be able to go to a web site and see a network status without having to log in. Basically, it's similiar in scope to Whats Up Gold's "Guest" account. Which would probably be OK, but I'd rather be able to post elements from the OpManager home page onto our intranet (like categories and whats in alarm status). CPU Usage 100% on process Winmgmt.exe
Everytime EventLog Analyzer get new Data, the Process Winmgmt.exe (WMI) goes to 100% CPU usage on each Server for 30 seconds to 10 Minutes. the User don't have Administrator rights, only Auditor rights (http://www.windowsecurity.com/eventlogscan/admrights.htm). You know this problem ? Thx&Bye Guido
tcp syslog
I have a system that sends syslogs via tcp. When I create a virtual syslog server in FWA and check netstat, I see that it is only listening on the UDP port and not TCP. Is there a way to make it listen on both TCP and UDP? - Chris
