Adding WMI SQL Monitor - 800706d5 - The security context is.
Everytime I try and add the monitor to the SQL server the error (800706d5 - The security context is invalid) pops up on the page. Any ideas on a quick fix or where this is stemming from? Thanks.
Global View - SupportCenter Plus
Hi Support Im using the SupportCenter desk plus and now I have requirement to post the global view to have the real-time monitoring for all the requests. OpManager 7 -- Issues in Gentoo
There is a problem with having interfaces be generated multiple times, ending in a sort of memory overflow as the machine running the OpManager 7 server runs out of RAM and crashes. This has been reproduced in Gentoo Linux, and after spending about 4 hours on the problem, it has been determined by OpManager's development staff that the problem is with Java not properly syncing its timezone with Gentoo. fwanalyzer sql crash
I just installed the firewall analyzer and it is receiving data and I do get some reports. But, it is crashing with an error in MYSQLD-NT there is no detail but I have to reboot to get things working again. I just downloaded this 2 days ago (May 5) so I have the current version. what needs to be done to make this more stable?? It is running on XP PRO SP2

Technical Support - App Manager 7 build 7300 SP3
I am monitoring and have configure alerts for high CPU usage on a Solaris server. This server runs a number of batch process and it's backup between 2:00am and 4:00am. During this time I would like any CPU alerts be ignored (do not run default action of sending email) Will the system allow me to do that? Brendan Stirling
Import 6 config/db's to 7?
We're currently evaluating the 6 version of the software, and have configured all our network devices, etc. Is there anyway to export this information from the previous version of the software to the new one? To evaluate the beta, I would rather not have to re-invent the wheel. Can you offer a 'how to' for this migration? Thanks! Joanne

Hello, Thanks for the great job did with this new version more easy. WMI - I got an issue with WMI credentials, I have set domain\username, this one have Domain admin rights and it is in Local Admin group on servers but I got access denied or I cannot get correct WMI monitor. I monitor these devices with OP Manger 6 without issue. Problem with Custom Reports
Hello I'm evaluating OpManager 6.0 and i really like it. I found the following strange thing : When i go to the Device Details of a Switch i can click on Traffic Monitor - Interface Rx Utilization and i see the Interface Utilization for each Port. I see the traffic for today, for the last 7 days or for the last 30 days. What we are interested in is a way to classify each Add Time Entries. Its a step further than just adding a timestamp to the entry. What I mean: When you add time entries if there was a similar way to customize the entry with something like the Request - Additional Fields for requests but for the ADD TIME ENTRY section. ...And then be able to report on those additional fields. I have installed the advent manage engine netflow analyzer on the windows xp (sp2)and configure the router correctly(ethereal can capture the udp package on my computer ). But the NFA still says that no router export.Does the problem come from the xp with sp2 beacause I read the user guide that the the surpport platform is just the windows xp with sp1?

HI. I Installed Opmanager7. I configure Netscreen208(community name is secure). I add device succesufly. Problem is below. session, cpu, memory status shows correct. Interface status is not gethered. Reporting cpu utlization on linux using SNMP
I have a Liunux server with 4 CPUs running snmpd. I have configured server monitor on Appmanager for the box. The cpu utlization reported by Appmanager looks incorrect. It is very high compared to what showing on the server using sar or top. I have compared the result running JFFNMS and the cpu utlization reported by JFFNMS iis much closer to SAR and top on the linux server. You can configure JFFNMS to be aware of the multifple CPU on the box. E.g CPU utlization average 62%, the value reported by

Dear reader, Am testing the applications manager. Installation + config went fine. Now trying to configure an action to send mail after an alert has accured. I have configrued the mailserver and when I execute the action then I receive the mail in my inbox. However this only applies when sending mail to an internal address. Is it possible to have the application send mail to an external email address. P.S. the monitor setup is monitoring a URL of one of our websites to check if it is still alive.

Custom / Table output / Sort order???
I'm using custom scripts to monitor certain services on the local machine. Tried to use 'normal' output using String attributes and Numeric Attributes but ME-AM seems to randomly ignore values in the output file. Each time I try to recreate the monitor some values are picked up, others not. Seems still very buggy! DNS Resolution
I am doing a trial run of the Firewall Analyzer and have only one problem I have not been able to correct. I resolve internal DNS names for my machines fine, but I can not seem to resolve the outside IP address's that the users are going to. I am using a Cisco PIX 515E and I get all the IP information but when I hit the resolve DNS button none of the outside address's are resolved. How do I get this to happen. Thanks
Build 6005 - Issues and Workarounds
I completed our upgrade to Build 6005 today from Build 6000, and I wanted to share some issues that arose and my workarounds. Mail Fetching: The username field was changed to server\\username from server\username. This prevented the mail fetching function. Workaround: Remove the extra "\" Notification Templates Destroyed: After the upgrade all of our Notification Templates contained something like "net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.ClobImpl@1ded4c9" which I recognize as a Java serialization of an object.

I set it up the EventLog Analyzer to page me when there is a warning. But I would like to be page only a certain hours like during day time. Is there a way to do that? I looked at the working hours setting and that is only to generate reports. Any ideas? Thank you! Dereje

AD Integration - All Users Fail

ServiceDesk Error on start up ...... wont load
Hi, I have been trying out the AdventNet ServiceDesk. It has been working fine for about 1 week. I have patched it up to build 6005. Over the weekend something has happened and the ServiceDesk will not fully start now. It gets to the part were it says "Application Layer Started" and then it just continues to add full stops. Suspend an alert for a soecified period of time
I run the MSP version and would like to suspend an alert for a specified period of time. As an example, I might notify a client that space on Drive C has exceeded the threshold. They then may take a day or so to fix the problem. I would like to suspend Drive C errors for a specified time say 24 hours so it does not continue to generate alarms, and so that the alarm screen is not cluttered. Is there a way to do this? If not maybe in a future release?
