Hello, We have a brand new server installed, RHEL 4 with 2 Gb RAM. Opmanager is returning a plus 80% value for the PartitionWiseDiskDetails - Memory Buffers value. This is less than than 10% on other servers. Anyone knows what this could be.
Why advanced search don't work?
Hi. My PIX 515 sends a log message like: <188>Aug 07 2007 18:39:17: %PIX-4-733101: Host 84.165.183.141 is attacking. Current burst rate is 10 per second, max configured rate is 10; Current average rate is 0 per second, max configured rate is 5; Cumulative total count is 323 Why if i use Advanced search with parametrs (Message -> contains -> 733101) or (Message -> contains -> attacking). Results of this search is nothing! How i can list all message contained %PIX-4-733101 ?
Feature Request
Is it possible to add another option to the Alert generation screen to specify the hour/day's that the alert can be generated. This would be used to highlight an alert that whilst normal during office hours would be abnormal outside of office hours. Also an option to acknowledge and clear an alert would be great Thanks

Hallo NA-Team, can i create one or more sub-group for a device-group? for example: I will create a device-group for our LAN (name is LAN-DEVICES, is layer 1 in the group-hierarchy). But our LAN have many different Subareas. Our engineers want to report separate Subareas-groups (layer 2) to locate problems, not the whole LAN. All Disk Usage Report Shows RAM.
Starting with OpManager 7004 my disk usage PDF reports are now showing virtual/physical memory as part of the report. Obviously, they shouldn't be as this is not a disk drive - its RAM/disk cache. David.
OpManager 6 Errors
Hi All, We have been running OpManager version 6 for a number of months now and are very pleased with both the product and the level of support we receive. Having a few issues fixed now by the forums and the help desk I thought I would also post this problem as well. Over the last few months we are having issues with out OpManager Service and I don't really know where to troubleshoot issues. The Login page don't show any box to input user and password
Hello, I have installed OpManager 7 in Free version (Windows Installation, port 80, Mysql, use in services mode). The two service "ManageEngine OpManager" and "ManageEngineOpManagerApache" are running and in the Task Manager (WinXp SP2) I see 2 process "Apache.exe" and 1 process "Jave.exe" and 1 process wrapper.exe. OpManager 6 service crashes daily
Hello, We use the most recent update OpManager 6. since 4 months, our OpManager service crashes everyday. The time differs every day, but mostly in the night. In the Windows Eventlog, it only tells me that the OPManager services (both!) stopped unexpectly --> The ManageEngine OpManager service entered the stopped state. The ManageEngineOpManagerApache service entered the stopped state. By manually restarting the service (from Services.msc ), OpManager continues to run (for 16 hours or so...). I suspect
Unable to configure notifications on task creations
Can some one please assist or confirm if this is a bug. I am unable to configure serviceDesk to send notifications when a task is created. The option is there but it doesnt seem to be sticking. For some reason, it will not save the configuration but that seem to be the only issue. Please assist.

Hi all I have added a couple of custom fields to the Changes view. I tried to sort on them by clicking the header and now my screen view has become corrupted. It is only for my userid. Hi all I personalised the Changes view screen by adding a couple of udf's and making them visible. When I tried to sort by them they corrupted my screen view and now I cannot see any listed changes. How can I delete any personalised seeting which apply to my userid?
Asset and workstation inventory
Hi, does rel. 7 have a more robust tool for hardware inventory ? Is it agent based or still relying on the rel.6 engine ? We faced a lot of problems with it (also due to our wide area network structure) that would be solved with a software agent collecting data locally, and consolidating to the SDP server. It's the last kink we need to iron before implementing SDP as a group-wide tool for IT management. Thanks
Request Column Sort Ability on Product Screen
ServiceDesk Support, There needs to the ability to 1) click and sort on the column heading(s) in both PRODUCT and PRODUCT TYPE screens, or 2) the ability to apply a pull-down filter so only part of the list is displayed. Currently there is no ability to sort these columns on-the-fly while viewing the list or to view the list in a logical common group. Can you please add this ability to the next ServicePack release. after and upgrade from version 6000 to 6011 there is a message coming up on the main screen saying that our license will expire in 24 days.. Do we require a new license for version 6011?
moving SD+ and OpManager from Debian to xp pro server ...
We are moving away from the Debian server and into Win XP pro in order to take advantage of the scanning and interoperability of these progs. The windows based OpManager and SD+ don't recognize our license files. Can you send us new license files for Windows please ... ?

Restore windows backup file to linux (6008)
I'm currently working with support on this one but they seem to be very busy so I thought I'd try here as well as my problem is getting quite urgent. Had to get a new laptop (old one ran SDP 6008 on XP). It's running Vista Ultimate. SDP cannot work on Vista, this has been confirmed by support. So, I installed VMWare Player running FC7. SDP installs and runs beautifully in VMWare and is accessible from Vista's web browsers. Sweet, or so I thought. I cannot restore a Windows backup file to a Linux
Archive logs
I have the logs archiving and have several days worth of archives. There are many entries with a status of "Loading archives of [Common Log Format] is not supported". To me this seems like I am wasting space here by archiving files I can never use. Is there a way to only archive files that I will be able to load back in? - Chris [/img]
Windows 2003 R2 64 bit network auto discovery fails
"The Netgroup Packet Filter service failed to start due to the following error: This driver has been blocked from loading" "\SystemRoot\SysWow64\drivers\npf.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Hi, I tring to configure the Disk Utilization in Performance Monitors using CLI protocol, but i recieve this error message when i execute a test "The Monitor did not respond to the test request". I see the secure log in my Linux System and i found this error message: "Did not receive identification string from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (XXX = OpManager IP)" I think is a configuration error in a Command Prompt, Login Prompt or Password Prompt because in the fields User Name and Password I put my logging to
FW Analyser and log Analyser
I am looking at many of the products with an eye to compatability. FW Analyser uses syslog but you also have eventlogger. Does the monitored device send logs to one collector/database and each product use that single data instance? Thanks King
no Interface view on router/switch devices

How to add network devices to Inventory SnapShot (license bought). Devices don't appear on "Hardware : Assets By Manufacturer" but ... some of them appears in "Software : Assets By OS". How to force in order to add devices to Inventory SnapShot? Short info: OpManager MSP Edition 6004 version. Device licensed - unlimited. Never expires. SNMP works correctly om each device.
Swedish special chars not handeled correct.
I try to use swedish special characters "���" <--- don't know if you see these... PMP accepts them as input, and stores something in the database. But PMP cannot display these chars correctly. Is there an setting for $LANG anywhere in PMP? Or does PMP not handle these chars at this time? Please reply quickly, this is a showstopper for us. We are soooo close to purchase...

Downtime Schedule
If you setup an "downtime schedule" for a group of devices (IE; Destops) where you do not want to be notifed during the evening hours, but do want to be notified during the day. This is wonderful except when you go in and take the time to disable those devices you do not want pinged, but you do want statisitics on, it puts all of those back to be monitored as well once the schedule time has passed. We have a customer where we want to monitor the statistics of the desktop, but not whether it is up
Alerting on Monitors not responding
Currently there is NO WAY to know if a resource that is being checked is actually responding. If a resource monitor, or any other monitor, is set to poll at certain intervals and gets no data back I think an alert should be generated. For instance, we did a mail server upgrade last week and I just noticed today that the cpu, memory, and disk were not being graphed. I testing currently the MSP Ed. After a couple of Days I lost on several Servers the WMI Based Resource Monitors like Processor, Memory and Disk capacity. I tray to configure again but it�s not possible. We need a solid System because we want provide this as a Service for our Customers. How I can fix this Problem or what is the Problem?
