Multiple instance of SD+

Our end users love the product so much we are getting almost weekly requests to see if we can setup their own SD+ instance to suit their needs. Import Requesters from CSV
Good Day, I have an unusual problem, on SD 6.00 I can import 298 requesters with the following fields completed, Firstname Lastname Email Department Login Password (Randomly Generated) on SD 7.00 when I try import the same list it does not import the Login's and Passwords. The current differences are SD6 is on Win2003 Adv Server + SQL 2005. and SD7 is on my local workstation XP Pro + MySQL. Single Sign on - DNS issue?
Hi All, I have been having an issue with the SINGLE SIGN ON, on SD+ 7, it was working to begin with but after a couple of days when you enter the HTTP://(server name. company name. local):8080 it comes up with a login box as if you require authentication to the server... mysql database
We need to run a query to extract some lookup data from our ServiceDesk MySQL database but I'm not able to find the table that stores the data. The data we need is the information displayed in ServiceDesk Plus in the Configuration Wizard -> Asset Management - Product -> Product List. Thanks for your reply, i took the suggested eventids to monitor from this website http://manageengine.adventnet.com/products/eventlog/help/system-settings/define-eventlog-filters.html at the bottom of the page and created a manual entry. I then disabled an account and re-enabled the account to generate the events. They did show if i looked at all events in this tool but did not show up in either the SOX/HIPAA reports or the alerts that i created... criteria is Event id log type security event id

Great product btw. Sorry to be a pain but one more question and I think i am all set. How do I tell it what event logs to gather? I have System Center Essentials and it creates logs on the servers for it's own purposes. I don't really need to collect them. The funny thing is that it is collecting those logs and not the system logs. How do i tell it what to do? Once again thanks for your help and have a nice day.
Scan for exe file to include in software list
In Track-It! I was able to to scan for files that were not formerly installed in windows. I have some programs that just put some dll's on the PC or an exe. Is there a way to do this in Service Desk so I can track these installations? Chuck
workstation location
in the admin setup there is a field for "location" which is available when setting up "departments": one can choose a location for each department from a dropdown list. in one of the default fields for the workstation there is "location" but it is not available as a dropdown on as a text input. the only way to do this now is as an additional field. This should be already available as a dropdown...yes?
AD Import Broken After Hotfix 6012 Install
I applied hotfix 6012 recently. Since then I am unable to import any new users from Active Directory. I select the OU to import users from then it just stalls at 0% completed. I am also unable to uninstall the hotfix. It says uninstallation is unsupported .

Dear All Is there any agent I could install it on any portable machine so when connected to my network update SD with all changes happened in this machine? And if there is no agent can I do this from SD network or domain scan automatically?
Using IIS as the web server.
I don't know a great deal about this product yet, as I have just downloaded it for evaluation, but I have a query. The default port for the package is 8080 and it appears that it using it's own built in web server. What I would like to know is can it be run through the standard IIS web server so that I can access it on port 80? Some of the locations that I would need to access it from block port 8080 so I cannot get to the server. Thanks
SNMP Discovery
SNMP was not installed on my servers, so i went to the control panels and added the SNMP services and made sure they were running, but still opmanager is not being able to discover the snmp services on the servers

I just took over administration of our ServiceDesk install and recently updated to build 6012. I'm a bit confused by something: As a technician, I can select any of our pre-defined categories and sub-categories, but if a regular user logs into the system the New Request form only contains the following fields: Name * Workstation ID Sub Category Item Subject * Description Is there an option I need to tweak somewhere to allow a user to select a category for their request, or is there something wrong

TimeStamp in Eventlog analyzer
Hi , I have tried to write a program to do my analyzer based on the eventlog analyzer's database. I can read the eventlog from the table names like "eventlog_20070911183916" or "comp_eventlog_20070912005016" . but the timestamp in those tables are look like 1189010903000. this is definitely not the standard MySql timestamp format. how can I convert it to datetime ? I just want to analyze the security log, I have tried to read the log directly from the target computer, but that computer is domain
java memory error
I have a w2k3 server running App Manger 7.410 that keeps returning an error - Apache Tomcat/4.1.27 The server encountered an internal error (Dispatch[/showresource] to method showdetails returned an exception) that prevented it from fulfilling this request. There's nothing in the windows logs, but the stderr# log shows the following - Exception running task: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space Memory usage on the server is minimal. It works if I restart the services, but it doesn't last.

Port deletion problem
I have a number of Dell 3348 stackable switches. They have 48 ports each, and appear in the interfaces section as a sequence from 1 to about 200. (not totally sequencial) My problem: Opmanager 6 and 7 build 7010 I only want to monitor the downlink port and the odd important port, so I want to remove all but about 3 ports max. It is apparent, that if I try to delete too many interfaces in one operation, it fails. Get an error flag at the bottom of the page. If I rediscover the interfaces and select
APC Switched Rack PDU
we have several APC Switched Rack PDU's in use on different locations. We need to monitor this devices via OpManager. I found no Device Template for this PDU's and APC only has a PowerNet MIB File that we imported via Mib-Browser. If i choose the PowerNet Mib in Mib-Browser internet Explorer displays a warning because of a script that delayes page displaying. How can i monitor our PDU's in OpManager? Jenson

Can one of you forum regulators please assist. I pay for support that I can no longer get. My user id and password for the portal doesn't work any more, and there is no lost password facility. Various problems with Opmanager 7 & MSSQL
I've used Opmanager 6 in the past, but did not get out of it what I wanted. Since we still need monitoring software, I want to give Opmanager 7 a go. 1) When I discover a Class C with only switches in it, only the first switch is correctly discovered, the rest is classified as "unknown". SNMP settings are identical on all switches. When I manually change the device from desktop to the correct (cisco) switch, it can read all counters correctly, and discovers the interfaces. Hi All, I got a problem of Alerts of 4030 version of EventLog Analyzer. After I configure an Alert Profile. EventLog Analyzer does not e-mail me a alert e-mail, but I can see the alert has been generated. Moreover, it could run the program I set. Lastly, I am sure it should not be the problem of e-mail server, cus I can receive a test mail or Report! Any idea?

hello i started app mang on one off my live server for websphere from two days but app mang is showing downtime. i am very sure server was not down at any point of day CPU/MEM was high but WEBSPHERE was working. Schedule Squid import from UNC path?
Hi All. I know that you can schedule the import of squid logs by specifying a remote FTP ip and username etc. However, is there a way of doing a scheduled import via a network share (UNC Path)? I want to schedule the log output from a windows ISA server, I can manually do so by connecting to the unc path and clicking import, but would like to schedule this to once every 24hrs or so. Also if you can do this, can you specify all files within a folder? Thanks, and great product

Accessing the Raw Data/Exporting Raw Data
Hi, we have purchased NFA 5 and upgraded to NFA 6. Is theer any way that we can get access to the raw data in the database? We have an urgent requirement to use the NetFlow DATA on an open link in order to create firewall application rules, and doing this page at a time from a custom report is extremely time consuming.
