Multiple instances of apache.exe opmanager msp
Hi, I have a probe on Windows 2000 server that has Multiple instances of apache.exe ususally 2, sometimes 3. Also when i stop the probe services, they remain in the process list and i have to kill them. also had to kill java, but not mysqld-nt. the probe also stops communicating w/ central server daily.

how do i add the priv1.stm file to the info store used disk space monitor on the MSExchange monitor? exchange uses both the priv1.edb and the priv1.stm but only the priv1.edb is being monitored.

Hi All, I am going on a bit of a posting rampage so apologies for that. I understand the probe writes/pushes data to the Central server every 30 secs and reads/pulls data every 5 secs. 1. What is the purpose of the read? is it for Central Server uptime acknowledgement? 2. What happens when the central server or the wan link fails and the probe cannot contact the central server, does the probe store its information locally and then dump the info once the connection is re-established? or does it lose
Upgrade from SD6 to SD7 Availability

Change Between Days - Disk Storage Report.
I would really LOVE (if I repeat it multiple times will it happen faster?) to see a feature in the daily disk usage reports that shows the percent change in available disk space. e.g. -1% or +3%. This would be extremely useful in determining disk usage. Also, another column that perhaps showed change in the last week, last month, etc. David.
Cisco 6509 cpu Oid is different
My Cisco 6509 switch doesn't response to the CPU Utilization Monitor of the OpManager. It is because the switch doesn't response to this OID: ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0" As I find that my switch responses to this OID: "1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.9" and returns the cpu utilization value, can I change the corresponding OID of the OpManager for this device?

Tomcat Monitor - Port 80
Hi, I can't add Tomcat Monitor I have two tomcat on my server. one at port 80 and another at port 8080 I successfully added monitor for tomcat running at port 8080, but in adding monitor for tomcat running at port 80 the following error occured: Host / IP ---- Port ---- Status ---- Message ip----------------- 80 ------ Failed ----- Service is not Running. When I clicked Diagnose the Problem? in Service Status section, the HTML code of my default page was displayed. Best Regards, MK.

How does the remote password reset work? I am assuming if I have a ftp server with user name and password some how I can reset password using passtrix i.e if I have a user on this server call joe I can rest joe password using passtrix if this possible can someone step me on how this works?

Create a snaphot of key monitors from multiple devices?
Hi, I use many tools (MRTG, SERVERSALIVE, AWSTATS,...) to create a one html page dashboard that refreshes every 5 minutes using html code. e.g. graphs showing WAN utilisation, www site connecions, SQL transactions. Plus Traffic lights showing availabilty of node and services all on one page. Is this possible with Opmanager? Thanks Gary

An interface with this IP already exists for the device
We have routers on our WAN that have WAN interfaces and Internet interfaces on separate circuits. We would like to monitor availability of the Internet interfaces across the internet instead of through the WAN. When we try to add them as separate devices we get the error "An interface with this IP already exists for the device {ip address of WAN interface}". Network scan ranges
What are the accepted formats for scanning a range of networks? We know that 10.x.x.0 allows for scanning of the entire subnet, but we would like to limit the scanning of the subnets to between the .100 and .254 range. Is this possible? Thanks, Steve

Exchange Info Store Monitor
i have opmanager v7 and need to add priv1.stm to the information store mailbox monitors. exchange server uses both priv1.edb and priv1.stm on the private information store, however opmanager is only looking at priv1.edb.

issue with double spacing

SLA - resoltion time
Is there any way to amend the resolution time to a response time in the SLA section. If we get a significant system failure (hardware problem) that involves system rebuild/recovery, which would be a high level SLA - surely the SLA should be a response within a certain timeframe rather than a resolution. Fixing some things its is very difficult to give a guaranteed fix time and as such I would likely be stepping outside the SLA on these occasions.
Can't remove added monitors
Hello! I've modified the device template "Linux" and added a view new monitors like "Free Disk Space" and "Processor Temperature". They were grabbed by all linux device in the op manager. Now I want to remove these monitors from some devices. After clicking the remove button I get the message "Graph deleted successfully" but the monitor is still in the list. What am I doing wrong?? Web Services access to netflow graphs
Is there anyway to call your software in a web services way to grab a graph from the database? We are looking to intergrate this into our portal but do not want to give access directly to the netflow interface but rather allow users to do reporting from our portal and we grab the data through your software. Custom reports and database queries
I have recently installed OpManager Version7 and I am still not happy with the reports it produces so I have the requirement to be able to create my own, my question is how can I query the database from an application like Crystal reports. I have installed SQL admin tools on the local machine but so far have not been able to connect to the database, can someone please give me some advice as to how I can get connected? Tomcat 6 monitoring problem
Hi, I really liked this product, it looks amazing. I�m using a MySQL and Tomcat 6.0.13 servers. With MySQL everything worked right, but with Tomcat didn�t. After I configure the monitor, I get the following message: "Error while collecting data from Tomcat Server." How to add monitor a table in performance monitor????
Hi there, Anyone done this b4? I want to add to performance monitor a table instead of a graph? I am able to generate a table e.g. ipNetToMediaTable (.1.3.6.1.2.1.4.22) from the MIBs browser but when I add it to performance monitor it doesnt show anything. There was no data available. Wildcards for Custom Fields in Reports

Add item column to request view
It doesn't appear that in the request view you can add the "Item" field to a column. (You click on the thing that looks like a calculator, and you can add various columns, but subcategory and item are not available choices to check.) Is there a way these can be added? It would be immensely helpful.
Time spent on Requester notification
Is there a way to include the "time spent" on a request in the notification to a requester when a request is closed? I looked and did not see a field. Thanks Chuck

force remaining business rules to process after one is true
I did not read anywhere (documentation, screens, forums) that once a business rule tests true that SD ceases to process subsequent business rules. I hope I am VERY wrong. Having a number of singular tests to do, I am hopeful I can define an independent business rule for each one with a resulting action if it tests true. Otherwise, I would have to create a business rule for each and every possible combination of all tests, not only laborious to set up, but creating a maintenance nightmare to make
