Cannot migrate SD+ from MySQL to MSSQL
I'm using servicedesk plus build 6013 with mysql-db I tried to migrate the db to MSSQL. These are the steps: 7. stop server 8. backup db 9. changedbserver to MSSQL with sa account Test OK, sucessfully created - but only !!! sys..tables are created !!! 10. start / stop server 11. restore db 12. reboot windows 2003 server sd+ stop starting while loading "ServerContainer" I also tried to change to MSSQL-DB with a fresh installation of sd+ with MSSQL-Support. Therefore I installed sd6+ (build 6000) on
disable alarms for desktops
Is it possible to disable the alarms for desktops, but still keeping polling them? When the user shuts down the desktop after a days work, an alarm is monitored. This will disturb the normal alarm-view, when 30 desktops are shutdown in the afternoon, and then turned on again the next morning.
Helpdesk slow
Hi Our helpdesk is going slow when we refresh pages either after a change or when the screen automatically updates at allotted intervals. We are running V6.0.0. build 60011, the database has grown to 106Mb is there anyway to archive the database or speed up its running? I would really like a copy of the beta version of the upgrade to try SD+ 7. Thanks
Status Overview Screen
Most Helpdesk Management systems provide a screen/web page where the overall team status can be reviewed by everyone. It would be great to have such a screen that would automatically re-fresh and enable us to display on a LCD/Plasma TV or Projector. Thoughts?

I'm trying to determine how the PurchaseOrder table is storing the dates. I'm looking at the DateRequired field and it appears the date fields are all bigint types and not datetime types. So, my question is what query can I use to go about converting a date/time from these fields into a human readable form?

NOOB - cant get snmp working
Hi all, I have just taken over the managment of this software from a guy who left the company. i have rolled it out on a new site but i can't get any info back from it from the probe. i get the up time and the number of pc's servers but nothing else i know the problem probably lies in the snmp traps are but i do not know how i should be setting it up in windows.
Change Approval Problems
Just curious if anyone else has seen any of these problems, i couldn't find anything in the forums already about them. Under the change management, i am having 2 problems. #1: i have created my list of users for the change approval to go out to from all my users that it has pulled in through active directory. I have created the change, and attached a few documents to it. I have then had it send out the email to the users. Now any of the technicians that are on the list, can open the link in the email
Constant Issues with OP7
I am having repeated issues with the availability graphs, and the monitoring in general. I keep doing the fix for the graph tables but it only lasts a short while. Some graphs seem to be reasonable others are less so. OM7 will just stop monitoring devices making it extremely unreliable to use as a monitoring tool. It seems the version 7 product is not nearly as polished as it needs to be for its role. Don't get me wrong I love new features but not at the cost of reliability. After all this is the
Due by time not present
I recently installed the latest service pack 6014. Since then, when requests are created, the due by time is no longer showing. I tried to unisnatll the service pack, but receive an error that uninstallation is not supported. Previously the due by time was automatically populated based on the priorty in the request. Is there a way to fix this or remove the service pack as this seems to happen only after the service pack was installed?

Is it possible to monitor in applications manager only the databases that I want. Actually I add a db2 host to monitor and all databases on this host will be monitored. Service Desk Wont run after installation
I installed the service desk plus 7 but I could not view anything on the client interface. when I try to start the service, a command prompt appears for a while and then shuts down. OpManager vs Applications Manager vs OpManager MSP
Hi, I am just on the evaluation of a new network-server monitoring software. I have now tested OpManager for a few days and I really must say "not bad" ;-) Although I am little bit confused, where are the differnences between OpMananager - Application Manager and OpManager MSP f.e. OpManager has no Oracle Monitor, which we would need, Application Manager has it; OpManager has no Remote Control feature, OpManger MSP has it So is there a chart or anything else, where you can see the differnces. We are semi-live on SDP. I have setup the mail server settings and can receive mail fine. When I try to send a reply I get "Sending notification failed". I have authentication enabled for outgoing mail but still no luck.
Cannot clear or delete SQL Cache Hit Ratio Alarms
Hello, we monitor several SQL databases. But if we got the following alarm we are not able to clear, acknowledge or do something else with it. "Cache Hit Ratio(SQL 2005 Server) is 0 %, threshold value for this monitor is 80 %" If we try to acknowledge the Internet-Explorer always shows a white background and nothing happens. After that the alarm is no longer show in the alarm table - but the device is still in alarm mode. The only thing we can do is to delete it directly in the SQL table. Thanks

Problem restoring backup
I'm trying to setup a test SD+ on another PC running Windows XP Pro, with data from current live SD+ which is running a trail version of Windows Server 2003 SB. When I run the restore data option on the test SD and select the backup file, 'requestScheme is HTTP' slowly scrolls up the page and the restore does not progress any further. The backup is from 6014 build, and SD+ on the test PC is at 6014. Am I trying to do something that is not allowed? Anyone help?
