SQL Report - Matching Workstation to its software.
Hello, For a little while I have been trying to create a custom query report that will give me a list of each workstation and the software that is loaded on it but so far I have not had any luck. Can someone help me out with this? Thank You Matthew

NT Reports
A report on NT folder permissions built specifically to be an all encompassing view of folders in a location and all their permission settings. For example; I run a report on a shared drive. The report lists for me every file and folder in that share drive and the specific NT security settings of each. It would be great if it was smart enough to consolidate or "tree view" file and folders when their settings matched and seperate out unique files and folders. NT Security Permissions Full
public or private domains
Would it be possible to have servicedesk default to adding domain names as private domains instead of public?? This is a time consuming task to have to go throught the list of domains regularly and update the private/public flag so they all don't appear on the logon screen. I currently have over 110 domains that SDP has "found" and I only need one of them to appear on the logon screen. Also the sorting of the public and private in the windows domain scan list is faulty.
Email Requests - linking to Requesters in Service Desk
Is it possible to have email requests automatically linked/created againsts requesters which have been setup in Service Desk using the email address?
Downtime Scheduler Issues
After creating a new schedule in the downtime scheduler, when I click on "save" it comes back and doesn't show up in the schedule. I clicked back to the admin tab and then to downtime scheduler once again and the new schedule still does not show up. Get alarm when HA mode active Netscreen 25 firewall failover
I have two Netscreen 25 firewall running in HA mode. How can I configure the OpManager to return alarm when the active firewall failed and failover to the standby one? Regards
Adding SCO OpenServer monitors
We have a small number of servers that run SCO OpenServer that do not have SSH installed on them. I am trying to add them as monitors however the telnet fails asking me to check the username / password and command prompt settings - all of which are correct. I think the problem is that when you login to the server via telnet after entering your username and password you have to choose your "Term type" (ansi) and press enter before you see the $ command prompt. Any idea how to get round this? Paul
ASSET PROBLEM
Hi People i am trying to sort out my assets..... i have done the network scan that all fine the problem is that all the items have been labeled as work stations except a couple of printers it has seen the access points, routers, switches and scanning guns but i am unable to put them under the correct IT ASSET for router/swicth and things like that i dont know if i am being blind but i cannot see a change resource/product i could add a different grou for all these things but why cannot i not move
Total time spent query report
We have a report that shows the time spent by technicians in worklogs on requests that works perfectly but I would like it to show the total time spent in ServiceDesk Plus by including worklogs for Problems and Changes too. Is this possible? Subscribing to a request or notififying users
Is it possible to notify users of updates on a request. Not the requester or Technician, but a given user from another department? Say for instance, I want to create a request, and want a given employee from another department getting notified of updates on the request (also upon creation), is it possible and how do I do that? Unable to scan Vista computers unless I disable the firewall
I can only scan Vista computers if I disable the firewall. I searched the forums but couldn't find a solution that pertained to me. Suggestions? For the older versions of ServiceDesk and Windows XP there was a firewall exception that had to be created and that worked great for XP. It doesn't work for Vista though. Is there something similar?
NBAR & VOIP appli
Hello, According to Cisco documentation, NBAR can recognize VoIP appli such as SIP, MGCP, H.323, SKYPE. However when we look at the application supported by NFA we don't see these applications. Can you please clarify if the above applications are supported. Thanks
How to delete custom field?

MIB Upload error message
I am receiving an error on line 4 column 54 complaining about special characters or numbers when trying to upload the attached MIB to Opmanager 7.1. The area in question seems to be a space and I cannot figure out why it will not load correctly. This is for a startech KVMoIP unit.
Sorting a report
I have created a report to list all of my active contracts and group by the contract status. The trouble is I would like to sort on the contract TO Date and retaing the format of the report. I ran a report query which did the extraction and sorting but lost all of the nice formatting from the original report. Any thoughts how I can merge the two methods to get the correct data, format and sory order. TIA Damian
Catalyst 4500
We have a number of Cisco Catalyst 4500's in our network. The first line of the startup config always has information about configuration compression. The running config does not have that line. Consequently all 4500's fail the Startup-Running Config test. Since they always fail it isn't possible to tell whether a real conflict exists. Is there a work around for this? Respond time of a custom script is too long : null results
Hi, I have a custom cli monitor which call a script pings.sh This script send pings to several destinations and give the rtt when a vpn is ok. My monitor is ok when all the pings respond but when a vpn is down the ping to this destination take more seconds and thus the monitor return all zero for each vpn (even if a vpn is ok). I think that there is a time out request and when the script take too long time (around 5s), Opmanager stop the script and give results zero. I would like to know if you could
ServiceDesk with Opera 9.2 and 9.5
Hello, I'm a fan of the opera browser in the workplace and I wouldn't want to have to change. Problem being when I go into a work order and click on reply, in the description where there should be the original email all I get it code. Deleting all the code and entering what I want to send, but unless I code it, no formatting is sent with it. I tried this with the stable current version of opera, and the new 9.5 beta. Hi I am a newbie to supportcentre+(only run it for a month) I did mess it up and by a mistake merged 2 requests. Is there an easy way to undo it? error when approving change requests build 7005

Windows domain scan by Vlan, instead of the entire domain.
It would be nice to have the window domain scan just for selected vlans. Since servers wont be monitored using service desk plus and the desktops are on a different vlan.
7005 does not install
It goes up to 100% then displays message "error uninstalling" and uninstalls. Any advice? Thanks
Improved Remote Shutdown Tool
Enable granular scheduled shutdowns. The WOL util allows scheduled jobs to run, why not shutdowns for security and configuration deployments? Would be valuable to select specific OU's and child OU's in Active Directory as well.
Software Whitelist
Hello everyone I was just wondering if SD+ have the ability to make a white list for softwares. Installed of having to blacklist everything by hand. Also while i am at it I was just wondering how everyone manage there workstation software via servicedesk? Currently i have been to manually look through the software section of servicedesk to make sure no weird softwares are install on our computers on a weekly basis. And it is sorta tedious to go through so many different softwares.

I'm running an evaluation of Service Desk Plus and OpManager. We do a lot of virtualization and I installed SDP in a VM (domU on xen for those that know what it is). This is part of our disaster recovery as well. We sync the servers to a backup site and we can bring up servers if/when needed. Anyway, I moved my virtual server running SDP to another host, similar to what could happen in a disaster. When I try to run SDP (and OpManager) I get this error: ERROR CODE : 527 Inconsistent change detected
Problem with MSSQL monitoring
We recently started using the MSSQL monitoring add-on for two SQL servers. The first SQL server was discovered perfectly, and I was given the option to select which databases I wanted to monitor (master, DB1, BD2, etc..). I checked off the boxes next to a few databases and all is well. On the second SQL server, the screen pops up during the discovery and asks me to select which databases I want to monitor, however there are no options to choose from. I don't know where to start troubleshooting this.
How to set a group to modify Due Date
Hi, I Need to set privileges for a specific group of technicians so they can modify the Due Date, however, only SDAdmin Role can do this. Adding a new role doesn't work, neither editing an existing one. Is there another way to do this? Tks!!
Weblogic Database Connection Pool Details shows wrong detail
Hi, I notice the following bug when looking at hooking up JDBC monitoring for some weblogic servers (both 8.1 and 9.2) Database Connection Pool Details Under: "Connection Pool Size" it is displaying "Connections Total Count" (i.e the total number of connections made for the pool since the server started) (as it appears in the webloigc console) when it should be displaying the value from "Current Capacity) Looks like a simple bug in the product that needs to be fixed Regards Joel
