Windows Server being monitoried got removed!!!
I had a Windows Server 2003 being monitored, with 4 monitors attached. It just so happens over the last week I've had an app that throws an error in the event log every minute or two, so I was getting emails every minute or two. Yesterday and today I didn't receive any emails and when I went in to check the monitor - I found it missing!!??!! The 4 monitors that were attached are still there, but no the main one. Custom Script - pass %LogonName% through to batch file?
Is there a way to pass the %LogonName% of the user I am creating on to the batch file using the custom script? I see the example in the Custom Script area, where it says to use %username%. I have tried that, but get these results (creating user testuser): Successfully created the user; Script Execution :" C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ADManager Plus\bin>echo Username is ADManagerService Username is ADManagerService " So, it see's %username% as the service account that is running ADManager, not the user

how can you create a request as a technician in the requester feild, i am a technician and need to created requests under my own name.
Custom report with a relative date range?
On build 7018 with MS SQL, I need to create a custom report that shows me a count per technician of all non-closed requests created during a relative time period. For example, I'd like to see non-closed requests that were created in the last 30 days; I'd like another report that shows non-closed requests created between 30 and 60 days ago; and so on. I can manually create these reports, but I have only been able to do so with static dates... for example, created date between July 9 and August 8.
Newbie... can't display expired contracts
I'm a newbie of SDplus... Somehow we cannot display the expired contracts which are after #25. I've read some previous post in this forum, somebody's having the same problem as well? Ok the main point is, how could this problem be fixed.

Issue with adding Software to PO
When I try to add a new product, and choose a product type of "Software" I can not add the new product and a get the following error: FAILURE :Problem occured while trying to get Software. Couldn't perform action on Products. Please report the problem to the system administrator, with the Error Code - 1,222,784,100,445. Any help would be appreciated.
New Problem With Custom Views.
Hello, Some months ago I created a number of custom view in requests. These were working fine and we have been using since go-live two weeks ago. I updated a view today to reflect a new application launched today. The addition was roughly "OR If sub-category contains Symphony". However when I saved and the selected this view I received a long list of calls and a series of messages relating to rendering, under the request view headings eg subject. I have therefore deleted the view and tried to recreate.

Monitoring Dell Hardward Faults
I want OpManager to notify me of pwoer supply failures, temperature problems, fan problems, etc. I have uploaded the 10892.mib, and added monitors for the device, such as the PowerSupplyTable and the CoolingDeviceTable. Hello, I have got an "Exit code is 9009" when I have set and tried to execute a bat file using script monitor, then Output File was not created. I am not sure what happens as when I lauched the batch script by hand it works OK in a Win2003 server. What is the meaning of this message in Apps Manager? Regards kkami

IP group graphs
Hi, I have the following problem with NFA7 SP2: When I click Troubleshoot on an IP group (network A) -> do a search on 2 rules: source network+ dest network, both same and a subnetwork of A -> in & out traffic speed = equal! But When I make a new IP group based on the subnetwork of A, the traffic speeds are different and ok! Why are the in and out speeds equal in the first method? How do I resolve this without making a new IP group? Thanks, Sven

Useful reports that come with pie charts
Can you please elaborate on how I can consolidate source, destination and other details along with the pie charts and export into pdf format? Is there any way to find out the number of failed log in / password change/ unlock account attempts. We would like to run reports on this information for security audits but i do not see that this feature is implemented. Is there plans for this in the future/ can there be? Thanks

String Matching in Threshold settings
Is it possible to perform string matching when setting thresholds for a custom monitor? For example, I perform a custom monitor to read the availability status of a firewall. The two possible strings returned are "active" or "standby". I would like to be able to set a text based threshold, and trigger an alert if the threshold 'equals' a defined string.

I would like to be able to create a shortcut to a URL for a specific device or view. We have several devices on our main page and it would be nice just to link directly to a specific device or custom view. Is there any way to include the device or view in a URL? Error changing between mysql and msSql
Hi All, I'm attempting to move off MySql and onto our Sql Server. Using the changedb script I keep getting the following error java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\bin\..\server\default \deploy\mssql-ds.xml (Access is denied) I have logged on to the server with an account that is a System admin on both the servicedesk server and the Sql server. Email settings are not saved
I am using ManageEngine App Manager 8 for evaluation purpose. I am trying to configure mail server via Admin > Configure Mail Server option. I have a local SMTP server running @ port 25 and it does not need authentication. I uncheck "SMTP Server Requires Authentication" and save, the save actually does not happen. The email setting page still has requires authentication and has some crap for user name and password. The send email fails because the authentication credential is not needed by the mail

Adding Technicians
I added all of my technicians. The server crashed that service desk plus was on. I have reinstalled everything and put in my license. I go to technicians and I don't have any other than administrator but when I try and add the previous technicians back in it says they exist. I can log in as those technicians but in the technician pull down list they are not listed. Can you help please?

Hi, I have two problems with the servicedesk 1. I sometimes start ServiceDesk Web client but the IT doesn't display anything or display "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and I must shutdown the servicedesk server and start again for 2 or 3 time > working 2. When I synchronize the AD account with ServiceDesk, I only see Administrator (built in account ) in AD have the same permission with the Administrator of Servicedesk (Local). Is it possible to set a specific business view as the homepage per user? I would like the user to Have access to multiple Business Views, but I only want them to see a single Business view to begin, and then within the Map we will link to the other business views.
