About Execute Program Action Program
Dear Support
Currently what i want to do is when some of the service is stopped due to any error.
I would like to restart it automatically.
For execute the script in remotely server , it seems quite complicated where telnet server is needed, etc. Every server need to do some modification.
As most of our server is windows base, so i install PsService in the Application Manager server to remote stop/start the service in the remote server.
I have created some .bat file the content like
psservice \\computername -u username -p password stop "Automatic Updates"
It works fine if i type the above script in the cmd myself.
When i created the .bat and try to execute it through App. Manager.
(Login App Manager Webpage > View Action > Execute Program Action(s) > Execute , to have a trial run )
I saw a cmd.exe and psservice.exe are generated when i check the Task Manager in the App Manager Server.
But the Application Manager page seems "onhold", keep loading...never end..
At the remote server ,the service is no change.
Until i kill the psservice.exe process myself , and everything goes fine.
The "Abort After x Second" seems not working at all in my case..
Any advice can be given
Or any best practice can be shared for my case. Thanks
Clay
