Asset Scan issues
Okay, we have been using SD+ for 10 months now, and I am keen to start seriously working on the asset scan compnenet, however when I scan I get about 30% success rate, yes there are laptops not connected etc and machines turned off. I am getting a pile of DCOM scan errors as well as Connection to RPC server(firewall issue) which my company will not turn off! Can someone suggest a group policy to turn on DCOM and how to allow a port for scanning of machines without turning off firewall?? How successful

Service Desk 6.0 to slow !
Hi, I have the Service Desk 6.0 runing on a server with Win2003 Server SP 1, the processor is a Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz and it has 1 GB of RAM. !!! HELP with migrating OpManager from C:\ to F:\ drive
Hi All -- Due to SAN I/O issues I had to move OpManager to another (dedicated) LUN (from C: to F: ). To accomplish this I: 1. stopped the OpManager services on our Windows 2003 server and copied the OpManager folder to another location. 2. then re-installed OpManager pointing it to F:\program files\adventnet\me\OpManager; once installed I started it and OpManager functioned like a new install would. 3. then shutdown services and copied the ...\conf, ...\users, and ...mysql\data folders from the copy

Hi Support, Is there any report to display the serial numbers of all the devices? I have entered the serial numbers of all my devices under the Device Notes->SerialNumber field. If theres no such report, can you provide the sql statement to extract from the msql db. Thanks.
Not collecting any network data after 7202 patch
After I installed the 7202 patch, OpManager is no longer collects any data from the network cards connected to it. I have good reason to believe this is cause by a database problem. OpManager only has about 20 servers and it will be no loss if I lose the old traffic graphs. How do I delete, and rebuild the network interface section of the mysql database? -Adam
Default Selections for Asset Additional Fields
I have configured Asset Additional Fields to have a default value. When I receive an item and go to Edit Resource the defaults are not there. Also, is there are way to set the Asset Additional Fields date/time fields to always have a date of the day it is received? Is there a way to set a default selection for Asset state? Thanks

Survey Report
Anyone know of a way to create a report so it looks exactly like the survey results list under Admin tab? Within the Report tab I cannot recreate this report. Report would contain: Subject, Requester Name, Created Date, Technician, Completed Date, Ratings. This report could then be automated and emailed with the ratings and drill down capability via subject. Joe
Configuring Dependencies
Hi, I'm using the trial version of AM. I followed instructions in Chapter 7.8 "Configuring Dependencies" to delete the critical health status on a monitor when a specific dependency is critical. The doc says : "4 - Choose Health or Availability from the combo box. The dependent attributes will be shown in the list box under dependencies." My issue is that I'm not getting the dependent attributes when selecting either Health or Availability. This issue applies whatever is the monitor or monitor group.
Application manager causes errors on monitored servers

As most of the DeviceExpert users are aware, the application starts a syslog server to listen for syslog messages, and uses the default UDP port 514 for the purpose. The port was not configurable till the DeviceExpert 5110 release. cpu/memory/disk utilization not saving/cant enable
Hi I am not able to add disk/memory/cpu utilization for windows servers(SNMP enabled).If i edit the threshold value, rearm value and enable monitoring also,its not getting saved, it shows not enabled. SDP 7.0.0 build 7021 open issues

Application Manager Build 8501 upgrade issues
After upgrading our Enterprise configuration to build 8501 (1 admin 7 managed) two of our managed servers will not display the page under the "Reports" Tab nor will they display the alert history and pie chart when clicking on the "Availability Pie charts within each monitor group or monitor. All servers used the same patch download to upgrade but only two of the 7 are impacted.

Upgrade from 7015 problem
We are using build 6.0.0.2 in production environment. In a test environment I upgraded the manage engine servicedesk build from 6.0.0.2 to 7.0.0.15 from a series of steps successfully. An error occured when i try to upgrade from build 7.0.0.15 to 7.0.0.16 or 17 or 20 . Why did it occured? Any help wellcome. Application Manager 8.5
Hi We have recently installed AppManager 8.5 and have noticed that Tables in Custom monitors now have centralised headings and left justified data columns making the tables hard to read, this was not the case with 8.4. Is this a feature or is there a way we can change the heading so they are left justified? Regards Chris

Problem creating an MBean on BEA weblogic 6.1
When i try to creat an MBean action app manager for a server running BEA 6.1 it tells me to check that the server is running. I have done this before with this version of Appmanager and BEA weblogic. I know that the server is running and the Appmanger is displaying other BEA and solaris date on this particular server. Can you please help Kind regards Grant Swift
