Dear, At the moment in order to send notification to someone I need to know the precisely way of writing someone's mail address (there are a lot of variants how to translate Cyrillic First name, Surname to Latin) and email autosearch function quietly often doesn't help me in this case. Controlling the order of 'additional fields' on the Request
Hi First time poster ! I'm tasked with creating a new layout of fields so that our request form looks it best. That means I need to move the fields around so they are grouped in a logical order. We are only talking about the 'Category' section of the form. Now, I have given each of the 12 "additional fields" a label the corresponds to the number next to each label when in the 'Requst - additional fields' view. 1 =1 and so on. Restore data from a backup file (.data) into another MySQL
All, I have an issue with some data that suddenly has disappeared from my system. i run a full backup of the system every hour. I now want to extract the data part of this backup file and insert them into another DB. I don't want to do a regular full restore since, but merely just get access to the data. The data file that is produced by the backup script is in a java binary format. But I would need to know how to extract that into simple sql files as I can see backup does when running the backup

The first time when a test this report I've defined some columns (2 columns). Hi, I am actually testing your products and I am wondering how to assign a script monitor to a host. when i click on : Monitor , linux , my_hostname , scroll down to the " Monitors in this System" box , add Monitor I can actually add a script monitor using ssh etc ... But it doesn't show up in this "Monitors in this System" box , I would like to do it but i didn't find the way . List of AD Groups wrong
Hello If I edit e.g. the group membership in a user template, the list available groups is incomplete and contains recently deleted groups. Is there a cache to be refreshed? If I browse in AD directly everything is fine. We run built 4300 of ADManager Plus. Thanks for any input. Stefan

Displaying/Sorting Requester
I have added all my requesters using a cvs file, the first name and last name have been concatenated together. The problem is that in the Admin - Requesters Page and the Requester List Page the names are sorted (and grouped) by First Name. Is there a way to sort/group by last name? Thank you Tanya
SQL2005 WMI monitors stopped working
Hi. We've been using build 7202 for OpManager for several weeks now, and on the whole I'm quite pleased. However, the WMI-based monitors for SQL Server seem to have inexplicably stopped working. Using the "test" option I consistently get "The Monitor did not respond to the test request", and no data has been gathered for the last week. The monitors used to work fine. SQL server system info: SQL Server 2005 SP2 running on Windows 2003 Enterprise R2. OpManager is running on an HP DL320G5 server, 3.2GHz
Active directory monitoring in build 6
My company using build 6015. we our been trying to get active directory monitor to work. It keeps failing with the correct credentials. It does the same thing in the demo build of 7. I believe in it should work in 6 before we even tackle build 7.2. My company is really want to make it work in 6 before we look into going to another build. I have try the solution that was offer on the knowledge base and it did not work. Does anyone know of another solution? Thanks for your help in advance.

OpManager Connection Problem
Hi, Currently I've got OpManager set to poll multiple computers for information. 2 servers on Windows 2003, 2 PCs on XP 64 bit, 5 PCs running Windows XP 32 bit, and one Laptop running Windows XP 32 bit. Of those the only one which seems to consistantly poll for data is the one it's loaded on. Of the others I can connect to one other PC (windows xp 32 bit), and the laptop but they're sporatic at the best of times. The others I can't seem to get any information from. Hi all ! I'm trying to configure IMAP under SD+ (7.0.0 - build 7020) but when I try to save the configuration I have this message: FAILURE :Email Settings saved successfully. But error occured while trying to check connection with mail server - Unable to open mailbox in READ/WRITE mode. So I try to do the same configuration under a Ms Outlook and all is OK. monitor numbers are zeros
On the managed servers' list in the Monitors column there are zeros at some managed servers after upgrading to 8501 build. The admin server cannot count the sum of the monitors from all of the managed servers correctly.

Limiting access to SDP after a restart
Hi, Is there a way of limiting user access to SDP after it's been restarted? As it's taking a few minutes to come back up, during which time the users are trying to log in which is obviously causing more stress on the application/database. What I would like to do, is disable all user logins except administrator until SDP is fully up & running and then at a click of a button enable the users to log back in as normal? is ther anyway the sdp can clear off the workstations that are no longer on the network? i have some workstations which were renamed or removed from the network, still these pc's shows as assets in the helpdesk? how can we clear these off? in the active directory management we have disconnected those computers from network. y is it still shwoing in sdp assets???
Restore (.data) file to another MySQL DB
All, I'm facing an issue with my SD where I seem to have lost some data. I run the backup on a hourly schedule and what to import that file into another MySQL server instance without making a full restore on the production system. The question really goes: How can I easily extract the information within the .data file? I see that the backup procedure really are creating a lot of sql files (one for each table) and then pack them all into this .data file. Any ideas? All input is much appreciated! Brgds

How to check if the cron job (script) ran successfully
Hi, Is it possible to verify if a cron job (a backup script) ran successfully? I want the script to be run via cron. Will the manageengine application be able to know if the script runs successfully or not? Will the manageengine app be able to alert via email that the script did not run successfully? Thanks.
Status: Access Denied
I have a single host whose status is showing up as access denied. When I look directly at the windows logs for this server I can see my configured EventLog user logging in successfully in the Windows Security Log. If I test the login using the 'Verify Login' I get the message saying that the RPC service is unavailable. Again I can see my configured user has successfully logged in through the Windows Security Log on the server. I have checked the firewall logs and there is no traffic being blocked.

AS View Query
Hi, I have a customer whose traffic flow comes almost exclusively from one address and runs for about 14 hours out of 24 - it's a backup process. If i look at an hourly traffic report for the customer, the figure pretty much matches the last hour report for the AS where the traffic is sourced from just as expected - averages out at 8 meg or more. If i look at the 24 hour traffic report for the customer, it shows an average of 5.5meg which is correct. However, the last day report for the AS seems

Report on escalated requests?
Hi, On our ServiceDesk, the standard procedure is for 1st line technicians to be the point of contact with the users. they pick up the call, and if they can't resolve it, will escalate to 2nd line technicians, etc. Once the 2nd line has resolved the request, it is passed back to the 1st line technician to close the call. This means that the 1st line technician has the requests show up in their stats, but it makes it difficult to report on escalated requests, and determine the amount of work carried
