Bug: Import Feature and Password Reset
If import resources from a CSV file, such as a Linux host, I cannot then go back and configure password reset, because a message pops up saying that two accounts must be entered. However, there is no way to enter an additional account except when you manually enter the resource. The edit resource dialog does not allow one to edit all the information that the new resource dialog does.
Asset Naming convention
I have been trying to come up with an asset naming convention that is unique and manageable for items that are not workstations or servers. I read where some SD users are concatenating numbers on the end of product names, like Dell Monitor 1, Dell Monitor 2, etc. I am curious if that is what most people are doing. My thought is to use our bar code values since they are unique and static and easy to identify on assets. I would appreciate any feedback before we set a standard that causes us problems
Switch Port Mapper is no longer working in OpManager 8022
This was once an issue that support was able to resolve, however this has cropped up again. OpManager's Switch Port Mapper does not display MAC address, IP Address or DNS name. Checked that the correct community string was in place, tested to see if this was an issue with the switch being mapped so downloaded OpUtils 5.6 which then mapped that switch correctly. Requester Close Ticket form Interface
Hi there, This might have come up in the past, but in my opinion it is worth mentioning it again. Some times the requester instead of closing a ticket from the resolution email, he accidentaly erases the email and at the same time the chance to close it. Is there any possibility to close the ticket from the Interface? If not, why not? I know that there is an automatic closure rule but that is against our policy. ldap attribute
I'm trying to add the LDAP attribute lastlogontimestamp to add to a user report. I'm defining it as a large integer and my ldap name is 'lastLogonTimestamp'. I have also tried 'last-logon-time-stamp'. When I add it to a report (say inactive users report) all I get is a bunch of random numbers. My result should be in a date\time format. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
INterface Monitoring on a fibre switch
Hi I am monitoring availability of interfaces on Brocade and McData switches using Opmanager. The issue I have is that almost all of my interfaces are Red instead of green, even though all the interfaces are indeed up and running. Issue with a user trying to add notes in OPManager

Infrastructure Views copy, not import to a New view
Why can't I create my own custom Infrastructure View, and not "suck" all the devices out of the other views. Also would like to NOT apply a template to the devices, but let them keep their properties Business Views don't work, so thought I would give Infrastructure Views a try. Imagine my shock when I imported using the Domain Controller template and saw my server all now had Domain Controller dashboard added them. Arghhh.
Bulk Editing User Home Directories permissions problem
Having a problem with mass editing/creating home directories for users. When I do a mass edit and have it setup the directory based on %username%, it creates the user just fine. The problem is, it is not setting any permission on the home folder. I have all the rights setup right for it to work but its simply not applying any rights to the home dir folder. Service keeps restarting
When ever I select run now from the Domain Settings screen, the service stops. Then it starts itself again. This only happens when I hit run now for one particular DC. The other one works fine. They are both Win 2003 SP 2. The one that causes the issue is local. The one that doesnt is remote. Before I purchase the product, I hope you can resolve this issue for me. List view cpu&memory usage custom graphs

How to restore the admin-account
We managed to reassign the administrator somehow to be a normal support rep. After logging off and on, we lost access to the configuration. Unable to view more than 25 tasks
It appears there are no controls in the implementation tab of a change to page through tasks. The default view allows 25 tasks to be viewed, and the rest are invisible. I can't find this in the list of known errors - is this on the roadmap for repair?
Watchers for Changes
I'm not sure if this is possible or not already, but I had the question brought up to me by one of my co-workers. Is there some way that you can set up "watchers" for change management? I'd like to be able to set up one user or a number of users who would get updates for changes but aren't a CAB member. Is this possible now? Thanks ~James Murphy

Can't add/delete Server objects
OpManager deleted some of my servers when I accidental did a import into a new Enterprise View and made all the servers domain controllers. Shame on me for not reading the docs, it also killed all my exchange monitoring which I had to re-do. Now I can't add my servers back, need to force the mysql database to purge out deleted objects. This is a Dual Proc, server with 4 cores and fast SCSI drives with 4gigs of ram.

OpMgr won't monitor my exchange 200 servers
I have setup the exchange monitor as required, yet, it won't even finish the wizard. The wizard asks me to fill in the location of the mailbox stores, public and private. I did this and it doesn't give me an option to continue. I know that WMI works, I can use the freeware solarwinds exchange monitor tool that uses WMI and I can get all the message stats, etc. Support has been absent in answering my ticket #4180677 which was put in @ 3pm on 9/18. :(
Can't edit Business views MAPS in Flash
It doesn't matter what browser or what PC, Business views won't let me add to the map. Cache cleared, nothing, firefox, nothing, ie6 nothing, Ie7 same issue. What gives?

Is the remote control software in DesktopCentral the same application as the remote control software in ServiceDeskPlus? If so, why do I sometimes have trouble running the remote control in one, but it works in the other? If not, why isn't it the same package? If they're different, I basically have 3 remote control software programs installed on the same systems - Windows Remote Assistance, DesktopCentral remote control and SDP+ remote control? SD+ Currently our company is testing the change management function within SD+. Question. Currently it is only possible for the technician to resceive all approved & rejected comments. Is it possible for CAB members to also receive the comments? This way the CAB members knows what responses & suggestions have been made.

Stopeed receiveing web traffic from Sonicwall pro 2040 with enhanced OS 4.x
This morning when i checked the FA i found that the security events are coming through but no web traffic. Very odd! I checked the sonicwall and both 514 and 1514 are pointing to the FA server. Syslog Facility is set to local use 0. Anyone have any ideas?

Exchange 2007 monitoring
Hi all, I'm monitoring Exchange 2007 with OpManager. Everything seems to be ok but for some reason, the "messages sent per minute" field is showing 0 messages. Hi, I'm trying to manage a remote office across a VPN using the direct method (no distribution server). I've created the site and installed a client by running the .msi file I downloaded from the site page. The installation seems to run fine, but the remote system doesn't show up in the Desktop Central Admin SOM site page.
