"Enable Local Authentication"
I have a litttly tricky problem, I am unable to logon with SD Admin account after disabling the option 'Enable Local Authentication", but able to login with all domain accoutns except Administrator any help

OpManager URL monitoring
Hi, I'm trying to monitor a URL using OpManager. At the moment the URL is in giving an error 500, but OpManager is reporting the URL as being up. When clicking the "Check Now" button, it appears that OpManager is not actually testing the URL as it is returning valid content rather than the error 500. Does OpManager cache URLs that are being monitored, and, if so, is it possible to prevent it doing so? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

We have 2 installation's of Opmanager (One free Build 8720) on one site (One licensed Build 8720) on another site. The problem is that at least one template on the free version does not exist on our licensed version, why would this be ? The free version uses the builtin MYSQL the licensed version uses MSSQL and both installations are on virtual servers. Can someone help at all ? Regards Scott.
Adding VM ESX Question
Hi everyone, We've been monitoring our Vmware ESX server for a few months and it's been working ok. From the server screen we can click the VM server and see all the virtual machines information. I noticed now Op Manager has a category under "Maps" for "Virtual Devices". Nothing shows up there though. If I attempt to Add a new host, and enter in the the VM server's IP address with the username and password, it complains the credentials are invalid. I know they're right because I can sign into the
SD+ Not keeping modifications made to request template
Im trying to add and move fields in a customized request template as an administrator/local auth.. It allows me to save it but it doesnt keep the changes and goes back to random format. Im on build 7609 and dont see anything addressing it on 7610.
Approval Requests being Deleted
After an upgrade from version 7.5 build 7510 to 7.6 build 7608 some of our technicians have noticed that a few days after an approval is sent over to management the approval request disappears from the ticket and is no longer viewable under the ticket history. The particular requests were still in the pending approval state. Has anyone else experienced this?

Bulk Import of the same request for multiple accounts / contacts
We provide managed services for at least 30 different accounts, and often (at least twice a week or more) we have the same task to perform across all (or at least most) of these accounts. A prime example would be applying a patch to a Blackberry Enterprise Server. The end users don't enter these maintenance requests - we do it on behalf of the clients. So right now, we have to manually enter a support request for every single account for every single maintenance task, which is very time consuming

Any way to schedule downtime at attribute level ?
Currently downtime can be scheduled at monitor and/or group level. Is there any way to schedule them at attribute level as well (CPU, Memory etc)? We are interested to get availability alerts for monitors during night and weekends but do not care for likes of CPU and/or URL response time during these off hours. Searching IP addresses
Hi everyone, One feature I'd like to see in Op Manager is the ability for it to search by other ip addresses if possible. For example we monitor our router via it's internal IP, let's say 192.168.1.1. It has an outside IP 200.200.200.200 on an interface that Op Manager also watches. If I go to search for a device, I can find the router by looking up it's internal IP, 192.168.1.1. But not by it's external. Sometimes when looking through reports or logs the external IP shows up and we have to browse
Disable clear emails only?
Does anyone know if it's possible to disable just the Clear notifications from OpManager? Our workflow for dealing with alerts from OpManager requires we check the alerting service/machine anyway so the additional emails that are generated when the service comes back up just means more work for the techs to keep their ticket queues clean. I'm currently running build 8052 and I've looked through the admin page but haven't been able to find anything like this. Any ideas? Thanks, Bill Anderson

Had OpManager installed on my XP machine, but recently moved to Win2008Svr. The Svr now reboots periodically on its own. anyone else with this strange issue? thank you.

Password seems to be changed after hardware maintenance
Hi all, we had to shut down our application manager server for a hardware maintenance. After reboot the password settings seem to have changed. It used to be the standard admin/admin. Now we cant log in wiht those settings anymore. A restart of the application doesnt halp at all. Any help would be kindly appreciated. Best regards, tommynocker82
Automatically Clear Events?
Is there a way for events to autoclear themselves? Can I configure that? For example if a disk gets to be 95% full, then goes to 90%, the alert still shows on the server. Can it be autocleared? What about a windows event log? Say a server gets rebooted, the alert is useless a few days after that, is there a way to specify an autoclear for that event?

OpManager and ESX 4.0 monitoring
I'm about to configure my ESX 4.0 hosts to enable SNMP so that OpManager can discover them. However I'm concerned that by altering the ESX Hosts SNMP settings manually I might break the vSphere logging done by vCentre Server. Can anyone tell me that vCentre / vSphere will not be affected. AD Search in ADManager Plus extremely slow
Hi All, Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and/or has a fix... When using the 'Search AD Objects' in the top right corner of the ADManager Plus homepage, we are finding the search to be extremely slow. To search for a name takes around 45-50 seconds. The same search in the ADUC console takes milliseconds. Any suggestions? This is affecting us bringing the product into production as it is not practical to be waiting this length of time to find an AD Object. Any suggestions

Tree in Password Explorer scrolls to the top when clicking a resource, height question and sharing question
Hi, I got around 300 folders in the Password Explorer, and when i select a folder/resource, the Password Explorer scrolls to the top. Was wondering if there is a workaround for this, would really help us out if there is. The second question, which isn't that importent, I noticed the Password Explorer could have some more height, at least in my web-browser. Is it possible to make the div autosize on height or at least edit the height? And my final question, is there a way to share more than one folder
7605 Showing Acme Logo in Reports / Purchase Orders
We upgraded to 7605 last week with the advisement from one of your technicians. Which then gave massive problems with restoring the data and we were without SDP for a few days. I have changed the logo in admin, etc and it's working fine for the logon and the top left hand corner. However, in our reports and purchase orders, it still has Acme logo?
NFA stop to collect the netflow traffic.
Recently, my NFA did not recieve any flow form the server. After restart the server. NFA can recieve the flow normally. BTW, this issue re-ocurred everyday and I need to restart my server for fix this problem. Could you please advice me for the step to troubleshoot this problem and fine the root cause of this problem. Service Desk & Apache
I have been trying to get the Service Desk Tomcat server to talk with the Apache ( 2.2.12) install on my Linux server by using mod_proxy_ajp. I have setup the proxy pass and the proxy reverse pass using the ajp protocol. The Tomcat server is running on port 8089 and when I point the proxy pass throughs to the port, it seems to respond prior to returning a 503 error. Has anyone been able to successfully get the Service Desk Tomcat server to communicate with an Apache server using either mod_proxy
AppManager 9 Directory Monitor
Hello I have to monitor the directory size on a remote windows (WS2003) server. DirectoryMonitor works well, but unfortunately it only monitory sizes greater than 10kb, but my size changment are in 100bytes or max. 1kb. Is there a workaround beside the use of a script monitor ?
