We have alerts that are generated from our Catalyst 6500 switch for discard, errors and high utilization.

These switches have over 400 interfaces and they are all labeled with a descriptive alias name.

When we get alerts for from the interfaces, the subject says for example "Trouble - Switch1"

It would be more intuitive if the subject had the interface name, for example "Trouble - Switch 1 - '06-12 GW-ROUTER1'"
