Geo Location not working - Netflow Analyzer 8
I configured the proxy settings and downloaded the GeoIP database, but when I click the "Show Geo Locations" button, I go from this: To this: Is there something else I need to do to show the locations?
Change UID and apssword on SQL database.
We had a security audit. One thing that was picked up on was the SQL database behind Netflow Analyser was using the default UID and password. Can this be changed without damaging functionality? If so, how? Thanks.
Security Log is Full
Hi, I'm evaluating ADAudit Plus on a 300 user domain. Since I installed the product, I have been inundated with support calls from users stating that when they try to logon they are presented with an error message that the Security log is full and only an administrator may logon. Since ADAudit is essentially a log mining tool, it seems like more than a coincidence that this is occurring shortly after installing ADAudit. Any Help? Thanks Mike

hey..im new here..i got some questions 1. how do i calculate the resolution time for a particular job. 1.1 our business rule says that..jobs before 2pm is to be completed the same day and jobs after will be completd the next day. so if a request comes in at 3pm and a technician start the job at 9am the nex day and resolve the problem by 10am. the resolution time would be one hr..but if i do the normal calculate..its gives something like 20 hours..how can i change this. 2. someone make a particular
Problems with adding new servers.
Hello, I have added a new serve wiht the IP addresses. Added well. When I am searching on the IP address the system told me that the server with that specific IP address isn't added. Can you help me with the problem. Thanks.
Only reporting Outbound Traffic
We have just upgraded to version 8 proffessional and since then we only get Outbound traffic reported on most of our Cisco router interfaces. This was fine on previous version , can you please advise what I can look at to fix this. Nothing has changed on the routers at all. many thanks for any help.
Re-`install SDP Error
I am trying to install OpManager. I previously was using the free version. I ran the uninstall from the Control Panel. Now when I go to re-install OpManager I get a message saying 'do you want to uninstall opmanager?'. I reply yes, then get a message telling me that the OpManager service is being removed. The process runs to completion. I then try to run the installer again, and get a message asking me if I would like to remove Opmanager. I then get a message saying the service is being removed.
Astaro 8 is able to send logs to Firewall Analyzer but data not complete
I am using Astaro Gateway ver 8. It successfully sent the logs to FWA but when i open the reports, the data is not complete. Is Astaro ver 8 supported by FWA 7?
OpManager Reports
I am wondering if there is a way to add a Reason colum to the Server Availibilty Report? When a server goes down an alert is sent, I then go into that alert and add a note with the reason for why it went down e.g. Power Failure. So what I'm wondering is, is there a way to get that note I added for why the server went down added to the Server Availibilty Report? Cheers,
Purchase column in scanned software
Under scanned software, even when I add software license, the column "purchased" still shows as "-" , but when I click the software to view in detailed, it is able to show the quantity of the "Purchased Licensed". How do I populate the "Purchase" column?
Users - Technician List - Deleting a member from site deletes from all sites
Hello, I am working with the demo SDP 8.0 beta and I have created three seperate sites and have all set as custom for their settings. In the Users - Technician list, I am able to choose association pull down menu and all are customized as they should. As soon as I say delete a technician who is in multiple sites, it deletes for all of those sites and not just for the one I have selected please help
Problem changing request templates
Hi, We've a problem when we change a request "request template" from one to another. Sometimes the request becomes uneditable, or simply doesn't change the template and frecuently the server cpu load reaches 100% without lowering until we restart SDP. Do you have any solution for this? We're using SPD 7.6.0 Build 7611 with MySQL DB

We are having issues with our external email delivery, when i try to update our mail server details I receive the following error number. Error Code - 1,285,671,300,626. Anyone shed any light on what this means please.

while i am trying to reinstall the service desk plus build 7611 i am getting the following error. Sending update notifications to users once a task has been updated.
Hi there, I know this seems self explanatory but i just cant seem to get this correct. Once a request is logged by the IT Dept (me) a confirmation e-mail is sent to the user(s) involved. Now when i want to update the request such as a list of steps i have tried in order to resolve an issue i am writing all these steps in the work log but users do not get notified of this. Is there any way to send a confirmation e-mail such as "job xx has been updated with the following comments" by using
problem with 3750 cisco switches
i've alot of switches all are working with Opmanager that's good, but i found problem with cisco 3750 catalyst i can't monitor this one i enable SNMP puting OPmanager ip everything "Pass" but still give numbers !! that i can't understand .what i want now is to see all interfaces Thanks Regards .. Automatic Redirect on Sucessful Reset?
Lets say a user get's directed to the Self Service site from our HR system... Is there a URL variable that I can send that then sends them back to that system after a sucessfull reset of their password? Or...worst case... can I edit one of the jsp files... say ResetResults.jsp to have some links at the bottom for the user to navigate back to a list of systems... Filtering Alerts by IP address
Hello, We are using EventLog Analyzer to track credit cards in plain text detected by our Snort system. I am trying to filter out messages based on where the activity is taking place (backup processes, etc. should be excluded) and there is a filter for strings contained in the log message. Does this filter work if I put in an IP address, and said 'match any'? Or would this not make any difference? Thanks.

In DesktopCentral 7, can I retrieve the logoff time? When I try to create a custom report, that's not in the list of available columns to include in the report.
Public Profile Lockdown
Hey everyone, I am trying to replace Windows Steady State with a combination of profile configurations using Desktop Central, so that the hard drive is not locked down and can take updates in admin mode without the additional steps of unlocking and locking steady state. Has anyone tried this? I am able to lock a majority of the functions on a public access computer account (PAC) and even moved the pagefile to a virtual hard drive but I can't think of what to do to restore the c drive to pre-patron

Hello, yesteryay i have installed the adventNet application manager to make some url monitoring. I add a new url monitor and checked the results. Then i noticed that the "current page size" is not the real page size. therefore i would like to ask you how your program calculates the page size? the programm says : 47.057 Byte , but the page is about 380 kB. Hello, I have several sites I look after and I wanted to setup seperate email addresses for each site. For example. helpdesk1@blah.com goes to site 1 Helpdesk2@blah.com goes to site 2 Is there a way service desk will see the email is different and automaticly send the job to the site the email was sent to? JavaService.exe Showing High CPU and Memory
I was running OpManager on a Dell server with quad Xeon 700Mhz with 2 GB of memory. When running on this server, the JavaService.exe always showed up in task manager as using an average of 50% to 80% CPU and the memory constantlly climbed. There were other applications running on this server, but not using hardly any CPU or memory. So, today I installed a freshly downloaded copy of OpManager 5.5 with the latest memory leak hotfix. I copied the OpManagerDB and conf directories from the old server
SMTP Issues with Exchange 2007
I'm having problems sending e-mail through Exchange 2007. We are moving to that from a Lotus Notes system, and SMTP through that works fine. Also, SD has no problem fetching POP mail from Exchange. The server that runs SD has another program that sends mail. It has no problem sending through Exchange 2007. I show the communication log from that program below. I've tried to set SD's outgoing mail settings to match, but I've pretty much tried every setting I could with no luck. I also attach the support

%User% Parameter for Custom Views
Can you please enable a %User% type parameter for views and filters that will utilize the currently logged in user. This would be very useful, and it is already being done by the "My open requests", "My pending requests" type views so it shouldn't be hard to do. This would allow a filter such as Requester ID = %User% Joe logs in and the filter/view runs as Requester ID = "Joe" Bob logs in and the filter/view runs as Requester ID = "Bob"

Hi, I have problem with Business Rules which I set condition with Request - Additional Fields. I created a request additional field (pick list type), called Supplier. Then, I created this business rule: Execute: when a request is created and edited. Criteria: Supplier is "Supplier1" Action: Change Status to "Onhold". When I create a new request with Supplier = "Supplier1", the rule works fine. But when I set Supplier field to "Supplier1" in a existing request, rule not works. I need another update

Scheduled Backup User Account
i am trying to schedule a backup to a network file share with service desk plus (7009). My problem is i dont know which user account to grant access to the file share so service desk has permission to write the backup file. Java.exe is running under the local system account so i cannot grant access to it and i do not see any way to specify credentials for backups. anyone have any suggestions

Hello, I've made a custom event that i want to monitor Then I enabled it on the server I've created a notification profile and want to add the custom event. I check the box in front of the Custom event and save the profile. When I reopen the box in front of the Custom event is unchecked. For normal events it keeps checked exept for Custom events it is not remembered. can anyone help please?

Downtime Schedules - Last Day issue
Hi, Today I am adjusting my Downtime Schedules and have noticed an error when specifying LAST DAY within the Day Wise section of the schedules. Note: I tested this on 19/10/2010. When specifying LAST MON within the schedule and saving, the Next Scheduled date reports as 29/11/2010 rather than 25/10/2010. When specifying LAST SAT within the schedule and saving, the Next Scheduled date reports 23/10/2010 rather then 30/10/2010. Is there a fix for this issue? Thank you
