After upgrading the Desktop Central Server, the client Agents are not being updated. Service Desk + - Preventive Maintenance tasks fail to start
Hi there, We migrated our SD+ 7.5 build from a win2003 server to SD+ 8.0.0.8 on a win2008 SR2, and since then have noticed that the preventive maintenance tasks fail to run unless the SD service has been stopped and restarted. We've had a look at the serverout logs to find what actually happens at those scheduled times but cant see anything out of the ordinary, apart from the fact that theres no entry for those tasks. Currently all we have as a workaround is a scheduled task to stop / restart the

Hello, Does anyone have any idea how to restrict the AD account searching into specific OU? I tried to grant Account Unlock Right to one user, and he is only allowed to search users under one specific OU. Hi,surpport I test the ADmanager Plus in my domain (Use Win 2003 Server, simplified chinese edition), but when i try to report all domain users in "AD Report", it can NOT dispaly chinese character in "Diaplay Name" column properly. I need a user to be able to login as and edit the following fields of any account (aka all staff) in a particular OU (aka Staff). Fields are: Title, Department & Company on the Organization tab. I have downloaded the trial for Self Service Plus and it seems that a user can edit their own details from the General & Address tabs only. Any clues?
Enhancements needed for password policy administration
Hello, We are starting to use ADManager more and more and noticed that password policy section appears to ack a few needed options to help us enforce our password requirements. Basically, we'd like to be able to specify the special characters allowed in a password, plus the ability to enforce the history. We understand the AD will govern these things ultimately, but if we can enforce these rules without hitting our DCs until the password validates in ADManager that would be even better. Cheers,

Hi, I have a question about viewing reports. I would like to know, if its possible to view some reports from different groups in one list. From the group "User Reports" the list "All Users" and "Real Last Logon" at the same time in the same list, for example. Another example is, the list "All Users" and "Coputer Reports" at the same time. Further I want to export this list.. So if I have several reports from different groups, I want to view them in one list. Is this possbile ? How can I manage it

ADManager 4.3 Freeze after Login
We just purchased and installed ADManager 4.3 everything went great, I could log-in with the default template everything was working well. Our server went down for a re-boot this morning, and now when you connect to the We Page, you can log in and the page just goes blank and never refreshes. As well the default Temple that's there after the install doesn't work either. Any Ideas? I re-installed the program on a fresh build of Server 2003, and upgraded teh License and still the same thing.
Different Groups, one List
Hi, I need some help to view two different group reports in one list. For example: I want to view all Users from the User Reports AND view the Real Last Logon at the same time, in the same list and want to export one list with both entrys. It is important for me to view the "Last Logon Time", "Password Status", "Account Status", "Membership of Groups" and the "Logon Name" at the same time in one list. It would be nice, if this even works with two (or more) different groups, User Reports and Password

I would like to specify the container location that a new user will be located. I know you can select this in the user template but I currently have upwards of 2 dozen containers where users are located. How do I control what the output is for my scheduled reports? Example, I want to run User Reports but I want one to capture the following information (Display Name,SAM Account Name,When Created,When Changed,Last Logon Time,Description,OU Name,E-mail Address,Account Status) the other to capture the same information but with Home folder. Running reports with selected OUs - timing out.
Hi all, I am running an inactive user report which picks up all users who are inactive for 90 days. This runs fine over the whole domain however when I select certain OUs to limit the results, it doesn't return any information. The first time I ran it it was loading for about an hour then timed out. Now it simply displays the Number of Inactive Users in each domain controller. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening or how to overcome it? Thanks in advance.

I just created an Active Directory group and want to import members to it using AD Manager Plus but hasn't shown up on the AD Manager Plus group list yet. I created the group in AD Manager Plus so I assumed that it should now about it by now. Is there anyway to do a manual sychronization of the AD Manager Plus application and Active Directory without waiting on the normal scheduled one?

Office Combo Box in ADManager Plus
Hi We're running AdManager Plus version 4.4.0 (4400). I've enter a heap of offices into the combo box (about 25). When you go to create a new user, you are only presented with the first 10 offices in the list. Can this be extended OR is the list limited to 10???? How can I fix this problem? Cheers David

Hi, We have been using ADAudit which is good as we can now see which people made which changes easily. Now we are evaluating ADManager but when we make changes to users with AD Manager, in ADAudit, the changes are not traced back to the actual user anymore, but instead only the account running AD Manager. Hi We are testing the J2EE monitor in an Oracle AS instance (OAS 10.1.3). We have followed the instructions in HelpCard and are able to deploy the WebTransactionAgent.jar, but then we can't start the application we want to monitor. There are no indications in opmn.log or application log of any conflicts or similar problems. When we remove the jar file from opmn.xml, the application starts w/o problems ! When the technician creates a new incident, and inserts all the necessary fields, the technician field does not hold. They have to pick up or assign after it has been created.
