Active Directory Replication between Domains
Greetings ! I recently added a new domain controller to my network using Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 bit OS. There has been a reported problem in gettng an x64 Server Domain to join an existing x32 OS based domain. I am wanting to install a duplicate "copy" the Active Directory on my Primary Windows Server 2003 x32 Domain Controller to the new 2ndary Domain Controller running Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 OS. Anyone have any suggestions on how I might do this without having to create a gazillion .csv
Duplicating Active Directories
I have a network with 5 servers. One of the servers I am converting to Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 edition. In the process of setup, I was unable do to a problem in the x64 software to assign this new server as a child in an existing domain forest. I need to replicate the AD setup on my primary domain to this new 2ndary domain. Anyone have an idea how I can go about it or what software to use to do it so I don't have to make all the manual entries into the system again?

VMware Threshold Alerts
Hi I have setup my VMware 3.5.0 host servers on OpManger (9011) and configured the notification profiles to send when 1 poll is missed and when any Threshold Rule is violated. However no alerts are being sent. When I check what is covered under the threshold setting it tells me that I don't have any set, even though they were automatically setup during discovery. Am I missing something very obvious here? Cheers.

Summary Report?
I frequently run a user and computer account deletions from a CSV file outputted from ADmanager's inactive user/computer report. Would it be possible to have a summary report after bulk deletions? Like 400 accounts processed, 390 accounts deleted, 10 failed. Its not very feasible to scroll through the summary for confirmation.

Incorrect/Missing Domain Controllers
Hi, we have ADManager Plus (5.2.0) which is all up to date. The problem I have is that we have many more domain controllers than I get in the computers, domain controllers report. The computers that are missing from that report are in, just not showing up under domain controllers. Any ideas? Thanks.

Email alerts
I have set up some email alerts for user accounts and wanted to know if there was any way to add the %ACCOUNT_NAME% information in the Subject of the email instead of only the body? It would be great if I could see immediately which account was created/disabled/locked without having to go into the email itself. I tried adding %ACCOUNT_NAME% to the Name: field in the Alert Profile and it just includes %ACCOUNT_NAME% in the Subject of the email, not the actual user account name. Thank you.

Hyper-V in OpManager 9
I added two Hyper-V Hosts that are part of a two node cluster. Metrics are collected and displayed on the Host Servers but none of the VMs are collecting except for one per Host. The one per Host, which is collecting, is not collecting or displaying correctly.History reports reflect the same problem, only one VM shows up. If I failover the VM that does collect (but incorrectly) it moves to the other Node but still does not collect correctly.

Fields in task templates
If you have a incident template with a number of task associated with it, you can't add fields from the incident to a task. If we take an example with a "new employee" template: Task 1 will be to assign a username. The incident field "username" should be in the task assigned and when the technician assigned to the task fills in the information with "Christian Jensen" and closes the task, the incident field "username" should be updated with the value "Christian Jensen". Something I would find useful is the ability to spawn an worklog entry based off of a task, similar to how you can add a worklog when you do a resolution.

My question is would the desktop central software be ideal for a computer repair service company to better help serve there customers remotely? I ask this because most home users will have a dynamic ip address that changes from day to day. Will that effect the communication between the clients computer and the server?

Can anyone help me with running a report for all assets. I need a report that lists all Assets that are assigned to a user. I would prefer it to be grouped by user. I found a way to do this with just workstations but I need all assets (monitors, docks, etc)

URL-Monitoring does not work with dependency
Hello together, i have the problem that my dependencys are not working with the URL-Monitoring configured on several server. That means i will not get any alarm-message if the server is not available if the dependend device is not available, that�s correct. But i will get a false-alarm regarding the URL-Monitor configured on the same server. Can anyone tell me how to configure that the dependency is also working with URL-Monitors in the serveral server? SDP Database size
Is there a way to reduce the SDP database size? I have tried archiving but it wont archive, it's nearly 20GB and it has historical data of about 4 years in it. Will deleting old tickets do the trick or do I need to run some sort of DB maintenence using Mysql? The system is running very slow over the web and I have a feeling it's because of the size of the DB... any help appreciated.
