hello, is there any way to change the Server System Time from GNT to CST ? Im running the App Manager on windows Xp SP2 and the Server System Time appear to be GMT.
Script Monitor vs Availability
Good day, Is there a way to have the Availability of a Script Monitor to show UP or DOWN depending on the result of the script? As it is right now, the Availability seem to show if the script was able to be run or not. The output of the script only modifies the Health status. Since we are monitoring Sybase databases with the script, we'd like the Script Monitor to show as "Unavailable" if the database is down. Is there a way to achieve this? Tracking Uptime of a Server "Farm"
Hi, I am trying to use AppManager to track total uptime. I use AppManage currently to track my tomcat servers. I have three farms with 5 tomcat servers in each farm to support load balancing and high availability. I just went and created some Monitoring Groups to try and track total uptime. Then to my dismay is says that the "Monitoring Group" is considered "down" if any of the servers is down!!! Ugh! I'm not quite sure why I would use a monitoring group. Unable to create a new Server Monitor
I am trying to create a new Server Monitor to monitor one of my AIX server.. After I enter all the parameters such as IP address, Server Type, Username, password, prompt, it takes me to a blank white page with the following URL: http://<my_adventNet_server>/adminAction.do?method=configureHostDiscovery Just to check I tried putting in the wrong password and it does return stating that the password is incorrect..So it seems it is connecting to the server that I want to monitor... How to Monitor Threads in Run-Queue
I am using Applications Manager Free Edition to monitor a small set of AIX servers (4.3 and 5.3). Is there a way to monitor (and to graph) threads in run-queue other than writing a custom script gathering the output of r- and b-columns of vmstat?
Monitor polling stopped
Good day, Sometimes the polling of some monitors stops, without reason. We had the problem when some Linux servers were rebooted and also when some WebLogic servers were rebooted. The "Last polled at" is set to "-". It seams that we only need to edit the monitor, re-enter the password for the user, and the monitors restart to poll the servers. Is there a way to configure Applications Manager, so that when polling doesn't occur, the monitors appears in "Warning" or another. The problem is that when

We are deploying Enterprise distibuted App manager but are looking to reduce the need for additional servers for "failover" by investigating "Disaster recovery" processes such as "configuration and Database back up" in the event of a hardware or software failure. Is there a simple procedure as to what files to save to a backup for this purpose. We currently have processes in place that we could leverage to perform backups so this would be ideal instead of having additional hardware and network resources.
I created a JMX Monitor for Glassfish (Sun Application Serv)
I logged a support request on Friday because I could not seem to get the JMX monitor going for Glassfish. Not sure where that request got to because I received no email. JMX Notifications Not Working
Hello, I have JMX beans that fire a notification on an error condition and log the information to a log file. AppManager has been configured using the JMX [MX4J / JDK 1.5] JMX Notification mechanism to catch notifications for each of the beans, set the severity to critical, and perform an action to send an email. Even though the log shows that the notification is being sent AppManager doesn't seem to get it. Any others experience this? Thanks

Hello, I'm currently investigating jboss monitiring tools and found that AppManager is quite good for it. But I have one problem with monitoring of deployed ejb3 beans. I deployed jbossagent.sar file to the jboss. I see that it is deployed: in jmx-console 3 JMX services appeared: AdventNet:name=BeanCacheMonitor, AdventNet:name=EntityLockMonitor, AdventNet:name=System,type=DataCollector. But in jboss monitor in EJB details section I still see: " No EJBs are deployed in this server." AppManager is

There is a discrepancy between the actions, and the script monitors. The script monitors ask to specify the absolute path of the file and directory. The actions only ask for the name of the file. If I try to run a batch file for an action from c:\, it runs fine. If I try to run it from any folder name (ie. C:\This is a folder) it doesn't work. In Applications Manager, it would be nice to be able to manually and immediately place a monitor into maintenance mode (similar to the "downtime scheduler") with a "single click" of a link on the monitor's page. Hello So we created out first template with custom scripts and everything is working great. But what do we do for duplicate usernames? I dont see any options in AdManager to deal with this. Im currently using version 6.2.2. It would be nice if we can tell it to use the first letter of the middle name or the 2nd letter of their first name...and so on.
SNMP trap parser -Link Down with Match criteria not working
Hi, I am creating a custom Trap parser Link down configured similar to the default link down trap parser except I was putting a match criteria. The default link down is also activated at the same time. However, my custom trap parser never gets triggered, always the default link down. Everytime I restart my server are installed SDP. It cannot working when startup.
Dear SDP team I have problem with my SDP build 9008. Everytime I restart SDP it cannot startup automatically. I usually use start by Manual. First I must start startsdp.bat and very long time to startup until I start run.bat it working. I usually used startsdp.bat and run.bat together it will working. Build Change Request Template Without Stage and Status fields
Is there a way to build a change request template without the stage and status fields? And if there's not a way to do this is there a way to change these two fields so that the only option there is for them is Submission and Requested? There's really no need to have the other stages or the status for those stages present when creating a change request tickect.

We setup our Vmware ESX servers to send Netflow packets to our ManageEngine server. We receive this error message. "V9 flows of unknown template are received from". Is there a way to set the system up to receive these packets?

Unable to delete
Hi, We are usinng 7.9.0 - with build number 7931. All of a sudden I am not able to delete anything. I first started with deleting backups and then some scheduled reports. The button to delete is there but nothing happens and no errors. Not sure if I have disabled anything by mistake but have searched and can't find any references... I am signed on as administrator... Periodically export raw data
Hi, I installed Application Manager 11700. I am doing PING tests and so on. I see that the system show only the last 6 hours of raw data, max 24 if I change the AMServer.Properties file. This is not enough for the customer because he would like to have the raw data for two weeks. If it's not possible to increase the retention on the AppManager itself, is it at least possible to create a script to export in TEXT format that data? I would like the ability to hide technicians from general view for the following reasons: We use ServiceDesk plus for our customer support team, however a number of IT staff has access to do administrative tasks and management, but should never be assigned tickets. Since the shortcuts are on both sides this create loops and once the status of a business view turns red, everything connected turns red too and never go back to green. Dynamic Group Deployment Issues
Hi, I had a Dynamic Group set up based on whether or not a particular software was installed. This Dynamic Group had 18 computers in it. When I used this group as a target for a software deployment configuration, my configuration went out to over 90 computers as soon as I deployed it. It was as if the configuration completely ignored my target group and instead deployed to all computers. I do not understand why this would happen. Thanks

How to create IPv6 IP groups?
Hi. I'm trying to add an IPv6 network to my IP groups. Unfortunately adding this IP network (example): 2001:0db8:85a3:: and 64 as the netmask is accepted, a message appears saying "net is IP6", but the group then shows: IP Address (Netmask) All Port (Protocol) All DSCP All Associated Interfaces: All Interfaces. Is there any trick to get IPv6 networks added to my IP groups? Or is it still not supported? Thanks.
Modify the playback spped of RBM scripts
I am currently evaluating the RBM product, and I have created 4 different RBM scripts. I am able to run them successfully on an agent machine, however the time it takes for the transaction to move from 1 URL to another (within one RBM script) is quite slow, and it takes roughly 3-5 minutes to complete 1 RBM script. Is there a way to speed up the playback, such that the script check completes sooner?
