Migrating to Service Desk Plus 9.xxxx from 8.xxxx
I am reaching out on the Forum as we are still running Service Desk 8.2 Build 8211 and are getting ready to migrate to 9.0 current build. My question is how different is 9.0 to 8.2 and were there any gotchas that people ran into when they migrated? Did anyone load a play version of the 9.0 before migrating there production system to the current version so they could check out the differences. Was it successful. Any feedback would be fantastic and very useful.
ME MDM App causes Samsung Galaxy Phones to be slow down dramatically and drain battery
Hi, We have received reports from several users that after installing the ME MDM app on their Samsung Phones it causes a number of performance related issues: Phone becomes super slow; Stops working all the time to the point of shut down; Random call drop outs; Battery drains rapidly - From 100% to 0% in 6 hours or less Takes a very long time to charge Has this been reported before and if so what can we do to bring the overall performance of the phone back to what it was before the app was installed?

I would like to inform you that I have a problem when wanting to view reports for all my devices either RAM, Hard Disk Availability. As I can do to fix this? Someone who has been the same, or I indicate what steps to take? Thank you.

Confused about SDP Exchange integration
So it appears SDP does not support normal Exchange integration like our last help desk product did. It only supports POP or IMAP. That doesn't like like too big of an issue (for us) as we run our own Exchange environment and I think we can secure it well enough. I am confused about the mail fetching though, SDP says "create a separate mail account and alias it to this mail ID". We have one helpdesk mail (helpdesk@xxxx.org) and want the users' mail to create a ticket (request) if they mail to helpdesk@xxxx.org.
Software Deployment Build 90045
Completed the upgrade to Desktop Central Build 90045, I then tried to use an existing software Package for IE 11 to push out the installation to 4 Win 7 desktop computers. Received Error Code 40008 and Execution Failed even though the software was installed? Additionally, when I view the software installed on these devices, it lists both an earlier version (IE8) and IE 11 are installed, though when I go to the computer itself and look at the Programs installed, it only lists IE 11. Desktop Agent GPO
We have set up the GPO per the instructions located at http://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/agent_installation_windows_gpo.html We are able to install it by hand, but the GPO startup isn't working. According to windows logs it is successful, but it never installs. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

scan newly created inventory type or sort workstation by ip number
Hi, We have almost 1000 nodes in our terminal and SDP places all the vehicle terminals, handheld terminals, computers - almost everything under Workstation tab. When I create a new group (e.g. Vehicle Terminals) and change relevant device's type from Workstation to VT, SDP loses all data (IP address, MAC address) and cannot scan devices under newly created VT tab any more. File Not Found after moving fileattachment store
Due to the excessive size of the fileattachments folder we had to move our SDP installation from C Drive to a new D Drive. After this move we have found that all (if there are exceptions to this they haven't been found) old attachments cannot be opened and some new calls are experiencing the same issue. MSWU-975 keeps showing up as not installed
Newbie using Desktop Central for patch management. I just noticed that I pushed out the MSWU-975 patch and it installed across all of my PCs but it keeps showing up after the new scans that it has not been installed. tried rebooting a few machines but it keeps coming up. I looked on a couple of the PCs and KB 2917500 was installed multiple times. What do I have configured wrong? I have been manually running the updates and scans until I have my feet wet.
Patch Mgmt and Inventory support for new 64-bit Google Chrome browser?
I see this morning that the Win and Mac versions of Chrome v37.0.2062.94 are now detected. When I install the new 64-bit version of Chrome v37.0.2062.94 on a Win 7 SP1 workstation, then scan it for patches and assets, the 64-bit version is showing up exactly the same as the 32-bit version. There doesn't seem to be any detection of the 64-bit version. This will make it difficult to roll out the 64-bit version to our 64-bit workstations and tablets, if DesktopCentral can't tell us which ones are

Pardon the dual post. I tried to do this "anonymously" but I can't find it. What suggestions do you all have regarding auto-starting the linux OpManager automatically. Hi support team, I try to migrate ADAudit Plus to a new server 2012 R2 but I ran into the issue. I follow the step on the ManageEnginePitStop (please see attachment). I can't copy an "ADAudit Plus" folder to the new server because "mysqld-nt.exe" (please see attachment) still running and I have no other option to stop it so I force to end task. After I stop " mysqld-nt.exe" I able to make copy over to the new server. Anyway, before I continue to work on my new server, I want to let my older server

OpManager 11 on Server 2012R2
Good Morning, I just installed the latest version of OpManager on a fresh and fully patched server running 2012R2. I rebooted the system but when I try to go to http://ocalhost:8080 I get the login page, great enter the default login anbd password and then the screen stays blank. IE and Chrome both show the same issue. Any ideas? TIA, Jim

Change ticket workflow - move to next status without approval
Is it possible to have the 'Submission' stage go to the 'Planning' stage without any approvals? For us the information in both these stages is currently done together then sent for the approval. Ideally the person filling out the change would fill out the Submission information, save the ticket, then have it roll directly to the 'Planning' stage. I am wondering if anyone is using this application for PCs that are not on a domain. I have 40 locations that have 2-3 computers each that have no VPN or MPLS connection back to main network. All of our apps are cloud based or web driven. Has anyone used this product in this manner. I am looking at a all in one management platform for patching, Remote Control and software rollouts. Currently looking at Logmein Pro & Central but use several other ZOHO apps so want to give them a look as well.
Desktop Central is unable to start after Patch 90045
Hello Team, i´ve try to install the Security Patch with Build number 9_0_0_SP-0_45. During Installation i got the error, that some argument could not be read and the installation was aborting. I restart the whole Server and the Services from the Desktop Central Core Server will not be starting. Additionally, i canot install the newest Hotfix with Build number 9_0_0_SP-0_46 because i get a "unable to install update" warning and the installation is aborting. I´ve found some lines in the "dc_service_log"
Inventory > Software > Filter-by drop-downs no longer working in build 90059
I just applied the latest hotfix 90059 to our Desktop Central server last Saturday. I noticed today that when I select the Inventory tab, then select Software in the left margin and pick any of the categories (or domains or types of software) from the filters, nothing happens. Inventory > Computers and Inventory > Hardware filters work fine. Just Inventory > Software no longer responds. We have two configured administrators, and this is the case for both. I've tried using both Chrome and Firefox
Data share between DC and SDP.
I've recently implemented SDP and DC and hopefully have it all up and running as expected. It was my belief that the two synched asset data. I'm assuming then that if i go through the asset info in SDP I click on the system tab - it shows nothing. However if i go through DC then i see local users, groups, services etc. Should this be pulled across? Or am I thinking it does more than it does?
