Service Accounts report
Is there a way to generate a report that shows all of the service accounts and what Resources are using those accounts? I know how to manually go to each service account and check this, but it would be nice to pull up a report.

Passwords imported from Keypass missing
We have recently migrated over from Keypass and many passwords are missing. They were imported but we cannot find them because they didn't have a username. These passwords are used for for RADIUS shared secrets and VPN pre-shared keys that usually do not have an associated username. When trying to manually add them into PMP I being forced to have to create a user for the associated resource. I then tried to create a new resource type that would require a username but sadly it would allow me to create
Access Control - AD users - Feature Request
With the access control we can enforces users to raise a request to view the passwords of selected resource(s), but it don't works when we use domain accounts (use currently logged in AD account), so the user can connect in the resource without approve. It will be very useful if we have the option to enable 'AD User request approval before connection' (user currently logged in AD account), because this way we will be able to audit any and all access to the resources. We don't want to disable the
Creating shared groups
I have installed a trial version of Password Manager Pro, currently I am evaluating the product. I have created 2 user accounts, both are administrators. Lets call them user A and user B. With user A I have created 3 groups and gave user B full access. In each of the group I created several resources. When I log in as user B and browse to Resources, I can see all the resources that were created with user B but I cannot see the Groups that were created. Am I doing something wrong or is it normal that
Webinar: Preparing for the GDPR with privileged access management
Hi All, With 11 chapters, 99 articles, and 300 pages of text, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is undoubtedly one of the most complex regulations of recent times. IT teams, security analysts, CIOs/CTOs, and even C-level executives are finding it difficult to decode the GDPR's technical terms and devise a plan of action. Like it or not, any company that handles EU consumers' personal data needs to be GDPR-compliant on or before May 25, 2018. And the GDPR isn't just another
"Enforce password policy during resource or password creation"
I'm posting this for the benefit of others. It's something I just learned from PMP Tech Support, which is completely undocumented and not obvious. "When you add a resource in to PMP, by default the resource level policy will be applied to the accounts added below it. Unless you change the policy at the account level, the account policy will remain the same as that of the resource. "An account level policy can be applied either during the account creation or after the account creation. If the option
Reset user's PMP login password?
With a PMP local authentication user an administrator can set the user's initial password, can the administrator also reset the user's password if the user forgets their password? (as my PMP setup has no mail server for the forgot password function)
Rest API powershell error in password manager pro
Hi, I am trying to create a script for accessing user accounts in PMP. I am trying first to access the resources for the API user. I have tried below script : ========================================================== add-type @" using System.Net; using System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates; public class TrustAllCertsPolicy : ICertificatePolicy { public bool CheckValidationResult( ServicePoint srvPoint, X509Certificate certificate, WebRequest request, int certificateProblem) { return true;

Enterprise Edition
Hello, we have 2 instances of PMP running on our environment. One is the production and one is test. Whenever a new version comes out, we upgrade the test box and make sure everything works fine before upgrading the prod. The test box is a standard edition and hence we are not able to test the latest integration with KMP. Can you help me out regarding this?

Change PMP user domain?
Hi, I have a PMP setup using AD authentication. I have my existing users in domain A with PMP personal spaces and I want to migrate them to use AD accounts from domain B. Is there a way to do this whilst reatining user access to their personal spaces? The domain names will be different but the usernames will be the same.
Encrypted HTML Export password issue
After some testing, I've discovered that if you use the "Encrypted HTML" export feature in PMP v.9.1, and put hyphens in the passphrase, you will not be able to use the passphrase to open the encrypted file. When I replaced the hyphens in the passphrase with periods, I had no issue opening the file. Best, - Steve

Privilege Management
Is anyone using password pro to manage software developers who need administrative privileges in their process? I would be interested in more details regarding its use in that environment.
Cloned PMP server for testing the upgrade
Hi All, We are running on a very old version of PMP and we are planning for an upgrade. We would like to test the upgrade prior to upgrading the production PMP servers. We have cloned the primary PMP server, have removed the server from domain and gave a new IP address so that it is isolated from the production. I think the cloned PMP server is working as expected but when we check the HA settings it shows the production primary server as well as secondary server. How can we change the Master host
Password Manager Pro won't start
Hi Everyone, Having some issues with our PMP service not starting. We had a trial that has now lapsed, but as I understand it, it should roll over to the free version. We are looking at buying the product but are still in the process of doing some analysis. The wrapper.log file shows the following: =========================================================================== STATUS | wrapper | 2017/11/22 14:05:48 | Launching a JVM... INFO | jvm 1 | 2017/11/22 14:05:48 | WrapperManager: Initializing...
Scheduled Tasks
I have a domain service account that is used to manage some task on a particular server. I have the server added to a resource group, and the group has been added to the "associate resources groups for...." area of the domain account. However, when I change the password for the domain account, it doesn't appear to affect the schedule task. The "scheduled tasks status" is blank, and if I try to fetch, it doesn't find it. I have a similar setup for another account, and that is working fine. All necessary
Reset local service accounts and Restart Services not working
Hi, I'm having a problem with the Reset local service accounts and Restart Services functionality in PMP. I've created a 'Windows' resources and populated it with an account which is running a Windows Service (also a local administrator). I've both the Reset local service accounts and Restart Services checkboxes checked. This functionality is working for accounts under 'WindowsDomain' resources. Thanks.

Assigning Rights to Export Accounts - Confusion, Inconsistencies, and Information Leakage
All of the built-in roles in PMP have a non-admin privilege named "Export Passwords." The privileges assigned by role and the privileges assigned by "Offline Access" are not correctly implemented. If the role you are assigned has the "Export Passwords" privilege, it doesn't matter if exporting is disabled for your user, your group, or even globally. You can STILL export all of the accounts under "Resource Actions." Finally, "Export Passwords" is a misnomer - the function actually exports the accounts
sudo parameters for elevation
Anyone configured remote password changes in Linux using an account other than root? We created a service account for the Linux servers, specifically for PMP's use. Our Linux admin is asking me what the sudo parameters should be for elevation for the account (i.e. what specific commands PMP will be executing via sudo.) Any help is appreciated! Thanks, - Steve
Unable to get Autologon working
I'm unable to get the remote logon helper working, the gateway is up and reachable however even after accepting the prompt about the cert my browsers still open and close tabs. We have our own CA so I want to create a cert however I cant find out how for the auto logon gateway. The instructions (below) appear as though there is meant to be a hyperlink where it states 'refer to this section of our site' but there isn't 'Important Note: When Password Manager Pro is installed, it generates a self-signed

Using PM Pro as a temporary repository of end-user passwords
Hello. At our company we are in need of a solution for securely storing a single password from each of our end-users. We have more than 6000 end-users so we'd ideally like a 'self service' option where each staff member can enter and save their password into the system, along with a central 'administrator' role who would have ability to view these passwords on demand. My understanding with Password Manager Pro is that this could only be achieved by licensing the Password Admin role for every end-user
IE Browser Extension
Any idea how to make the IE actually work? Chrome works perfectly. IE, (11) the extension is enabled but a security warning pops up about active X and window disappears after allowing it.
"UserName" in Agent.conf
I just installed an agent on a test Windows server. I notice that the Agent.conf file has a UserName field, and that the value is my own Active Directory user ID. What is that all about? Why is my ID in the conf file and what will it be used for? Thanks, - Steve
